I'm off to buy weed killer & sort out the yard to make it some bit more presentable for prospective buyers

ememem84 · 29/06/2019 12:48

I’m indoors. Windows open. Curtains closed. Lying on bed. It is hot.

We’re going to the beach later on as dh wants to take his paddle board out. As much as I don’t want to go and have to sit on the sand and race after ds (which I inevitably will have to) the beach will be cooler and I can take ds for a paddle. And maybe get a sea swim in which might actually help my aches and pains. Also I don’t want to spoil it for dh and ds. #preggoguilt

Thatsnotmybaby · 29/06/2019 13:07

Supermarket delivery was £52.

That's a tough day for you @Taytocrisps Thanks. I'm happy to hear you have your DSis to keep you company, there's no one like a supportive sister I think.

Dying to get out into the sunshine here but I'm trying to work my way through mountains of unpacking and holiday washing. Will head out later though.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 29/06/2019 14:10

Afternoon all.

Took the kids to the park this morning. Have been doing lots of sorting, every time I think I've got a handle on it, I find more stuff to sort, either the kids or ex p.
Ex will be round Monday, so will have a chat with him about all the crap and what he wants to do with it.

27 degrees here. We’re both sat in the shade whilst DD2 plays in the paddling pool. Ice cream and ice cold coke here today.

Not a NSD as ordering various bits for DD1s party next week.

ememem84 · 29/06/2019 18:19

WE went to the beach. Ds should be wearing a life jacket i know. But he had a great time. And the water was about knee height.

I had a sea swim. Cooled me right down. So nice. We’re now home and dh has fired up the bbq and I’m watching the glasto coverage.

I haven’t been since 2014. I have glasto envy. determined to take ds and baby once their old enough.

Lovely pic @ememem84.

Lots more post holiday sorting/washing to do today, also visiting DPs.

Holiday spends came in just under budget, and as everything was paid for with holiday money, other spending has been quite low this month. Quite a bit left in my groceries budget so I'm going to do a Nespresso order next week.

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 30/06/2019 10:07

£72 yesterday in Sainsbury’s and £10 at the pub. Lovely dinner at a friends my contribution was pudding berries, meringue etc which probably cost £15 of my £72 at Sainsbury’s.
Ds sold a dvd and made £5 which he has taken to competition with him today as spends
Jacket sent back to Boden as the fit was weird and boxy. What is going on with their stuff at the moment?

Em lovely pic sounds like a fun day
Happier you sound super organised
Tayto sorry you are having a tough weekend. It’s definitely worth putting up some of your own pictures when you are ready and putting your personal stamp on things

Meadow it’s lovely to see you, I was thinking about your and dd the other day and wondering how you were getting along

Curvy a good massage for £12 is a bargain

Girliefriendlikescake · 30/06/2019 12:42

Sounds like a nice day em I've been watching glasto a lot as well, last time I went was 2007 when dd was 14 months!! It was bloody hard work and I've not braved it since. Maybe next year as dd will be 14 then!

Tayto sending mn hugs.

Yesterday was flipping hot 🥵 too hot to take the dog we were looking after anywhere after 9am! I had a hen do in the evening, spent £15 on food/drinks which isn't bad really (the joys of being teetotal.)

We stayed at mums which was nice, home now.

Aldi shop £29 spot on budget 😇

Cat has her annual boosters in a bit, that's included in her pet plan so shouldn't cost anything.

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/06/2019 14:42

Lovely night in a teepee. Free activity with the youth hostel caving. All spends were food.£80 ish. £45 to fill the car up, £££ Sainsbury's for half a shop.
Weather was hot and sunny yesterday, rain evening and cloudy and muggy today. Em fab pic.
Tayto big hugs.
Waves to everyone else.
Did the dog owner get found happier?

Thatsnotmybaby · 30/06/2019 16:28

Yes life a neighbours house (unoccupied) burnt to the ground while I was away during the week & the dog is straying since he's actually outside again now so l think I'll walk him home after eating.

Just spent €20 at takeaway on this munchie box & two kids meals.
So hurt my wallet & my waistline but hopefully help my hangover Grin

Ds is wicked cross today bedtime can't come fast enough Grin

Took dh to “it’s a knockout” competition today he took my place on the work team. Took ds up to watch this afternoon.

Ds met the work crew and enjoyed cuddles and being spoiled and nicking other people ice cream. He got a bit annoyed that he wasn’t allowed on the inflatables. But at the end dh was allowed to go down the massive (like 30ft high) inflatable slide with him.

£6 on ice creams for me and dsis. Ds shares mine.

maddenlightfoot · 30/06/2019 19:24

Hi all! Happy last day of the month! I've been busy F-lastonbury-ing all weekend in the sun. Have probably spent far too much but hey, it's the 1st of July tomorrow!!

ememem84 · 30/06/2019 20:57

Count down is on. Less than a month now until due date. Eeek. Max 6 weeks to go. I. Can. Do. This. fully appreciate I have no choice 2 weeks left of work. Eeeek.

But I am ready.

Ish.

I think.

I’ll get there.

Home now. Ds in bed. Dh is sorting laundry. I’ve been supervising.

Am having a lie down on bed and to be fair will probably go to bed in a bit.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 30/06/2019 21:16

Wolf, I know such a bargain! It is one of our colleagues daughters, she qualified a while back, and was very kind to do mate rates for us.
NSD yesterday.
Spends today
Primark £52.10, 3 pairs of jeans for ds2, he needs adult sizes. Leggings and socks for dd2. Their dad gave me some money as they need new bits.
Tk maxx, £18.98 on a berry keeper and a backpack for my friends birthday tomorrow. We don't normally do gifts, but she has been such a support to me the last few months, I just want her to know that I appreciate her.
Sainsburys £11.04 on milk, coconut milk, drinks for the kids because it was just so hot. Ice cream, sorbet, yoghurts for the kids and pasta.
Lidl £17.78, on a nice new wooden chopping board, pizza, cereal, long life juice (to have on standby for when we go out), bread, mustard and a few more bits for the kids to just grab on busy mornings, or when they see their dad.

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 30/06/2019 21:18

Does any regular need a pair of boys scout trousers. Bit scuffed on one knee so the colour has lightened there but still good enough to wear. Happy to post for free

Girliefriendlikescake · 30/06/2019 22:47

Late sign in, I've been watching glasto lots as well! Loved kylie, thought she was brilliant and actually enjoyed miley Cyrus who played after her.

Cat has had her boosters, picked up her meds £10 that lasts about 6 weeks.

Bought a huge sack of birdseed for £5, we seem to get through quite a bit now - greedy birdies.

Dd discovered Zoo on Netflix so has been binge watching that, I'm (slightly pathetically) excited for Stranger Things 3 on Thursday 🤣

We've also started to think about the possibility of adopting a dog again, it didn't go well when we tried before but I feel that was because it really wasn't the right dog. Have registered an interest with a couple of rescues and will see what happens....

RubySlippers77 · 30/06/2019 23:11

Good luck with the baby countdown em!! Hope your last two weeks at work go well. I really miss work (well maybe not all parts of it - but using my brain!), it seems a picnic now compared with looking after twin toddlers.....

£30 in Primark for us today too, mainly on sun cream, toothbrushes and a few clothes for DP. He's been buying new stuff like mad for his stag weekend away next weekend - plus taking €500 spending money - and I'm scraping around to afford some new sandals Sad finally 'splashed out' £35 on some new Fitflops as every cheaper version I have is giving me lots of foot and leg pain (I do a lot of walking!).

Happier your curry sounds yum! Do you have a recipe please?

Sending Flowers and hugs to Tayto (and Wine if needed!)

We applied to a local dog rescue charity to foster Girlie and they were awful! Really put me off. We're on the books with another one too but haven't been asked to help yet. I'm doing an assessment for the Cinnamon Trust soon though, might start dog walking through them. Would like a dog of our own but maybe dog walking is as much as we can commit to for now!

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/07/2019 06:42

Happy July y'all.
Still feeling grott drs X2 today.
Your can get there em. Not long now.
Pleased you found the owner happier.
Would adore another dog but not practical.
Tayto and curvy big hugs to you both. You got this

Thatsnotmybaby · 01/07/2019 08:54

@RubySlippers77 I hope you won't be offended by me being so blunt but the financial arrangements between you and your partner sound very unfair and you deserve much better.

Last day off today before returning to work today, and I'm determined to be very organised with lunches, dinners, work clothes etc this week.

Happierwithouthim · 01/07/2019 15:35

@RubySlippers77 and anyone else that's interested.

My curry was made as follows - saute chopped onions, add some grated ginger & garlic and a big dollop of pataks curry paste(80g worth) and then add some chicken tenders and saute for another couple of minutes, add half tin of tomatoes & half tin coconut light milk(both frozen from previous curry) add in half a head of brocolli and top up with almond milk until brocolli is covered, simmer for ten minutes, add petit pois straight from freezer and a can of drained cannellini beans and heat through. Serve with micro pilau rice Smile

Happierwithouthim · 01/07/2019 15:39

We walked the dog home and dc were in their element.

I'm slow to commit to a dog again after the freedom of not having one but they'd adore one and I would too and it'll be worth the sacrifice then won't it?
