Girliefriendlikesflowers · 11/02/2019 14:41

Thank you, I'm back home now and stress levels slowly coming down! Went okay I think, will hear later today if I got it or not.....

Wolfcub · 11/02/2019 16:13

Fingers crossed Girlie. Sorry I wasn’t around earlier to wish you luck

Em that doesn’t sound much like resting to me

Love shakshuka. I think either Jam or Unescorted makes a green one

wolf yeahhhh. But I e also spent all afternoon ass on couch. Watching netflix

Cagliostro · 11/02/2019 17:13

Everything crossed for you girlie

My netflix time was rudely interrupted by the others coming back early. Cagletini was walking across a little bridge and fell in a giant puddle. Oops. Hope her coat isn’t ruined (£10 in Morrisons sale but still)

ChristmasSeacow · 11/02/2019 17:32

Fingers crossed for you Girlie.

I have been pedal to the metal all day with work - I’m wfh but had to finish something by the end of the day so not even had time to stop for lunch or make tea. I ate a few spoonfuls of cold risotto... it really wasn’t great Grin.

Anyway, just about made my deadline before dashing out to get DS from school. Now just feeding him dinner while trying to sort out my Indian visa. I spent 90mins filling it in laboriously last night then saved the online form to upload the required docs later. Now after 30 mins trying I can’t get it to reload my application... but I also can’t bear to start again. Aaaaarrrggghhhh!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 11/02/2019 17:36

Bloody hell I only went and got it 😮 am in shock!!

ememem84 · 11/02/2019 17:39

Lovemaltesers · 11/02/2019 17:51

Brilliant news girlie 🍾

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2019 17:59

Ah girlie, sorry didn't get chance to wish you luck this morning.

Cagliostro · 11/02/2019 17:59

Yay girlie!!! That is amazing 😍😍😍

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2019 17:59

Oh and then I see I didn't need to. Fabulous news. X

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2019 18:08

£24 gloves as lost one of mine, £15 superdrug, and £10 Wilko on stocking up candles and matches as we had a power cut yesterday and I realised I was running out. Also on offer toiletries for my stash

Rightwayup · 11/02/2019 18:15

Well done girlie. Assume nice big pay rise. Pay rise = more plants

Justanothermile · 11/02/2019 18:18

Fabulous news girlie, that's utterly brilliant. Well done. You really do deserve it.

I haven't fully read back, even though I've only been offline for a day!

Spends
£140 for 4 months supply of dog food. Such a big outlay but it's really the most cost effective form of buying it as it knocks nearly a tenner off the cost of one bag.
£100 Ocado delivery.
£90 Amazon (£70 was spending by DD and she has given me the money).

Above are spends over two days.

Tonight's tea is vegan Shepherds pie, we had it last night too, I've just needed to make additional sweet potato mash for the topping and will serve with extra veggies.

Justanothermile · 11/02/2019 18:19

You should have popped to our house and sorted through our odd glove basket before you bought another pair life😁.

Justanothermile · 11/02/2019 18:20

And belated Happy Birthday to girlie DD and seacow.

Unescorted · 11/02/2019 19:21

Woooohhhhooooo! girlie

Wolf must be jam then. I have taken notes for next time I am without the vegetable haters. A green (mix steamed with a splash of white wine) one with creamy (mascarpone or ricotta perhaps) and added parmesan sauce would be lush. Smoked paprika across the top. Eaten with home made pita to dip in the runny eggs. Would it be wrong to pretend to throw a ball and lock the door as they chase after it?

em that sounds far too energetic for someone who is off poorly and brewing a small in their belly.

Cag lock the door next time.
Today has been hectic - it is year end looming and now all the things I have been nagging about since the summer are super critical.

Has anyone spotted sneaky recently? He was getting a hard time on another thread & I haven't seen him since.

LonelyOversharer · 11/02/2019 19:25

girlie FANTASTIC!! Very well done. StarFlowersStar

A level meeting done with dd1. Her choices are good. The uni course she is looking at is very competative (criminal law if you please!) so we have a long slog of begging for work experience ahead of us!

He's also looking into accessing some of the school bursary to pay for her transport. If we could get her a seat on the Cumbria bus I'd be made up.

£7 on milk and snacks. I've been freezing cold all day!

Ggreengrass1 · 11/02/2019 19:46

girlie great news, go youCakeCakeCakeWine

Girliefriendlikescake · 11/02/2019 19:57

Thanks everyone, you are all lovely! I really am shocked, this will be a massive learning curve for me and will miss my current team loads plus some of the other aspects of nursing that i won't get to do anymore. That said this means no more weekends, no Christmas or bank holidays (unless i want to work them!) so quite a few bonuses.

Right its a band up from where I currently am but the way the pay scales work mean I won't really see much of a difference to start with, in fact might even be slightly worse off as will lose my weekend enhancements. However year on year my pay will go up, top of band 6 is much better than top of band 5! Plus I reckon my millage will be high.

Have managed a couple of NSD which were much needed.

Bit worried about Sneaky hope he is o.kay.

WreckTangled · 11/02/2019 20:01

I was wondering about sneaky too

Girlie it's always scary starting new jobs. They let you know really quickly so must have been really sure that you're perfect for the job.

Wolfcub · 11/02/2019 20:23

Home finally. Absolutely cream crackered.

Need to put in my expenses tomorrow as the old bank account is looking a bit sad in places. Not all of today’s spends are revlaimable but most are
