I forgot I had a cheque for €60 to lodge into my account. I left it out on the kitchen counter (so I wouldn't forget to put it in my bag) and then dropped some roast onion on it Blush. Oops! Hopefully the bank machine doesn't reject it.

CurlsandCurves · 16/10/2018 22:22

Aw em that’s so sweet, being purred to sleep 😍

Bed for me too.

NursieBernard · 16/10/2018 22:31

NSD except parking at work, hopefully the same tomorrow. Packed lunches all made. Now to sleep before another 12.5 hour shift tomorrow.

ChristmasSeacow · 16/10/2018 23:22

I think I love all the seasons... until I get bored of them! I’d hate to live somewhere that was hot all year round.

Great news Cag and Wolf. I really hope CAMHS makes a difference.

Frugal but lovely day with DD, just a small top up shop for salad and fruit, £6. Had a friend round for a bit and then cuddled DD and read her as many books as she wanted (and that’s a lot of books!). I’m in the office for the next 2 days, I’ve made a packed lunch for tomorrow (lovely ham hock, egg, tomato and new potato salad with salad cream. THE KING of comfort food salads). Will buy a tea as I’m only a visitor and don’t know how the kitchen kitty etc works. But will hopefully be very LSD.

Have a call booked with my accountant before work. He’s lovely but I somehow always feel naughty when he says he needs to speak to me HmmGrin

ChristmasSeacow · 16/10/2018 23:32

There’s a fairly thick layer of dust on my Estée Lauder advanced night repair. I think I need to make a bit more effort Grin

Cagliostro · 16/10/2018 23:36

See I’m sort of the opposite with seasons. I really struggle with the change more than the weather itself IYSWIM. Autistic need for consistency I guess (odd because in other ways I am totally happy with spontaneity). I would probably be happier somewhere that had the same weather all year round 😳

Yummmmm I’m craving potato salad now!

thistimenextsummer · 17/10/2018 03:06

A small, middle of the night hello 👋. A night of being unable to wind down enough to sleep, followed by a couple of hours of fretful sleep (dreaming about work, of course!) before being wide awake again. I've given up on trying to get back to sleep just yet and am using the time productively to (very quietly!) blitz my housework. Work is really playing on my mind atm. I spend a large part of my day guiding young people through strategies to deal with stress and I'm usually very good at taking my own advice but middle of the night runaway thoughts get to us all from time to time!

Wolf you must be so relieved for the camhs assessment. Waiting times are ridiculous!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/10/2018 07:00

Nursie That’s awful you have to pay parking, do you do 4 day weeks?.

Jam Congratulations, you’ll really enjoy that & you can make money from it.

Free divine choc bar on Shopmium.

ChristmasSeacow · 17/10/2018 07:06

Poor you This, I’ve been through phases of work-induced insomnia and stress and it’s awful. I’ve never resorted to housework though!

LonelyOversharer · 17/10/2018 07:28

Morning everyone. em I had no idea just how much snot such a tiny person can produce!

quite knitted acorns you say...I love making up new things. I never buy a pattern for toys, except Alan Dart ones, as I wear them out and feel guilty on how much money I make from him. But only his patterns are copywrited, he's happy for people to sell the pruducts, and I always say it's his pattern.

What I haven't done is start to sell my own patterns. It's an income source I've not dipped into yet. I have a full (almost identical to the book) hungry caterpillar set that would make an epic knitting book oneday. I have made about 8 sets, never sold one for less than £60, once one bid up to £210 on ebay...I cried at the time as I was so skint (about 8 years ago now).

Just a £10 spend yesterday in the co-op, but I need to do an asda online as we're running low on dog food.

jam go for it! I have a feeling training/helping runners will be right up your street x

WreckTangled · 17/10/2018 07:35

Dd has lost both her school cardigans and ds has lost both of his jumpers. Ffs. I can't afford to replace them so they'll have to go cold until summer.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 17/10/2018 07:43

Is it worth contacting the school to see if they've a lost & found wreck

WreckTangled · 17/10/2018 08:02

Checked lost property for DD's already nothing there. Ds only lost his this week so suspect they're still in the classroom 🙄

thistimenextsummer · 17/10/2018 08:21

Thanks sea - my night didn't get any better but my house is at least acceptable (for today!) on my way to work and have that kind of Uber-energy that can only be achieved through sleep deprivation - no wonder babies and toddlers have it in abundance 😂
Planning on buying a large coffee if I can get to the cafe in the next 4 minutes

mammynowanauntyIRL · 17/10/2018 08:22

Fingers crossed for ds's

Just checked my shopandscan balance and will have enough for €60 worth of vouchers tomorrow.

Pink date has been announced for June next year in Dublin so will be purchasing tickets next week €80 + booking fee, I absolutely adore her.

WreckTangled · 17/10/2018 08:35

Mammy I can imagine that pink is a great soundtrack for you right now

Yesterday was a nsd. I was considering topping up fruit today (strawberries and raspberries) as ds loves them BUT being frugal and telling myself we have pears and apples in the fruit bowl which he can eat. I can get more soft fruits in the weekly shop.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 17/10/2018 09:04

I've been before but she's the ultimate girl power songwriter for me. I follow her and her hubby on instagram too, they rock as cool parents too.

My dc seem to be eating very little fruit these days, I've asked them when we're shopping to choose their favourites and they're not pushed.

SummerDaize · 17/10/2018 09:42

thistimenextsummer have you tried knocking back a magnesium supplement in the middle of the night if you can't sleep? They used to conk my out in 15 minutes flat. I can't take them at the moment but I find sunflower seeds have much the same effect.

I'm pottering on with day here. I have 2 weeks and 5 days until my clarinet exam, so I'm working at being non-rubbish by then. Good fun and still costing nothing. (The practising anyway)

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 17/10/2018 10:03

Morning all just catching up, I had a bit of crap day ystd as had an awful headache which I think was caffeine withdrawal 😕 I was trying to reduce the caffeine due to the gastritis but I seem to fix one problem only to cause another!

Also dd had a problem at school and I'm now waiting on the deputy head to contact me, don't really want to say too much but needless to say it's more stress and worry!

Anyway thankfully I'm day off today, plan to catch up at home and do an aldi shop.

SnugglySnerd · 17/10/2018 10:04

Well this morning has been fairly stressful so far and I forgot to buy milk on the way back from school so will have to wrangle dts back into pushchair and go to shop. After Teletubbies though. I need 5 mins with a coffee.

ememem84 · 17/10/2018 10:16

Morning. Ds deposited at nursery. Was very much a dump him down with toys and speak to his key worker outside so he can’t see me deal. He cried. So sad. Guilt guilt guilt.

Anyway. Hopefully not a spendy day today. Lunches made. I have £5 in my bank account. Payday on Friday.

Tomorrow I have a beauticians appointment which I need to pay for. But the funds won’t come out of my account immediately so can deal with an overdraft temporarily. I have an authorised one of £500 anyway. But really try hard not to go into it.
