Oh thank goodness wolf CAMHS waiting lists are horrendous and it couldn’t have come soon enough for your DS, shame about the timing but it’ll be worth it.

North that’s a shame about the assignment. Glad it was practice and the feedback will be useful in future assignments too. Not fun to have extra workload now but it’ll pay off.

Em deep breath, and try not to imagine where DH can stick those paint samples 😜 this too shall pass though. I hope DS is better soon too.

Cagliostro · 16/10/2018 18:48

News here too. I said yesterday about DH offering different shifts at the new store. Well they said no.

Basically because they can’t afford to lose him at the current store. And they know he will leave altogether if he’s stuck with these shifts much longer (he’s been looking at other options). So they have FUCKING FINALLY said they will change his shifts here. Yay!!!

He was never supposed to be stuck with lates anyway. Basically a previous manager fucked up everyone’s contracts which meant that the existing staff didn’t have any obligation to accept lates, so they didn’t.

Big relieved exhale 😅 Not entirely sure what the new pattern will be. Expecting a mix of lates and earlies now which I think could work well as then he can still be involved in more home ed stuff on the lates days. In particular though they have agreed he will no longer work Thursdays which is HUGE as they are really difficult in terms of the Caglets’ schedule (to the point where we may have had to give up which would have been genuinely devastating as DD is getting so much from Cadets). Other than that things may be variable but we can work with it whatever it is. No matter what it’s an improvement on the current situation!!!

SummerDaize · 16/10/2018 19:18

That's brilliant Cag. Phew!

I just stood up to take ds to bed and then remembered it was cubs night so we had to go shooting out of the door instead. It seemed weirdly counterintuitive. He was very obliging about the lightning clothing change.

SnugglySnerd · 16/10/2018 19:21

Great news Cag and Wolf!

Justanothermile · 16/10/2018 19:26

I kicked the leaves anyway life, there were plenty of them...

Lovely walk actually, it's good to be alive.

That's fantastic news wolf and cag, a relief for both.

I've done a marathon training plan for my friend this afternoon, and am figuring mine out now for April next year. It's interesting doing it for someone else, based on their life and their training plans.

If you can figure where you can change things, that's progress north, I absolutely admire you studying with a full life.

ememem84 · 16/10/2018 19:30

Amazing news cag that surely will make things so so much easier for you xx

I’ve been to the gym. Trainer had me slamming medicine balls (8kg) to the floor and catching as they bounce and throwing them up and catching. Stress relief.

Home. Ds was splashing in the bath. Dh’s words when I came through the door were “that’s right, wave it about like a weapon” I had visions of what was going on. But he was encouraging ds to wave his bath boat around not his willy

Nursery bag done - ds is going tomorrow. He’s much brighter this evening. He’s eaten loads and his temperature is down to normal. 35.9. Dr said that anything between 35 and 37 is normal. So I’ll send him with the prescription paracetamol and ibruprofen (think it’s ridiculous that I have to ask the dr for paracetamol on prescription when I can just buy calpol but it’s nursery rules).

Dinner done - Dm left loads of leftovers in the freezer so we went for a freezer dive and cane out with spag Bol. Yum.

Outfit ready for tomorrow. Bags packed. And I’m in with ds again tonight. Dh offered to stay with him but I need to. My poor babboooo.

I'm so cold tonight! Apparently it's still 15 degrees outside though? No heating going on yet I'll put a dressing gown on over my clothes if I have to.

Lovemaltesers · 16/10/2018 19:35

Great news cag and wolf!

I am super duper irritable today. Ahhhhh.

NSD

Cagliostro · 16/10/2018 19:38

Lovely pic jam I need to get to places like that more often for sure :) That’s great about planning some training for a friend, they are lucky to have your knowledge on hand :)

I’m feeling quite good tonight :) got more housework than usual done and it’s almost bake off time!

Summer don’t worry about how much is profit exactly. I go by the sunk cost fallacy. However much you spent on the instrument to begin with, either way it’s gone. So even if you pay fees etc on the sale you still have loads more money than you did yesterday, and that’s awesome, the number is just detail. :)

Cagliostro · 16/10/2018 19:40

Em aaaah life with baby boys (and toddler boys, and older boys and...) :o I would have assumed the same on hearing that sentence

WreckTangled · 16/10/2018 19:43

You wait until he learns the windmill em...

Cagliostro · 16/10/2018 19:49

Thankfully that passed DS by wreck :o

One of his nicknames as a toddler was wobblewilly though 🙄😳

SummerDaize · 16/10/2018 19:58

Thanks Cag. I do see what you mean. I kind of wonder if I could do it again as it was quite nice to renovate and instrument. Definitely good fun stuff. Relaxing too.

Justanothermile · 16/10/2018 19:59

You know what cag, it’s a recent decision and I’m not sure I’ve mentioned it or not, but I’m going to get my coaching badges via UKA athletics. There’s a few stages involved but funding available too if you know where to go to ask.

It makes sense, running is all I know. I’m reasonably decent at it. It give me the most happiness and inspiration seeing some of the challenges folk overcome to do it. I know how to train for distance but not the short stuff. I’m ready for a new direction.

Life is good 😁

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 16/10/2018 20:01

Thanks north, I'm feeling better and managed to eat a small amount. Good luck with your assignment.

Great news Wolf and cag

Sounds like a good gym session em and glad to hear that ds is on the mend.

ememem84 · 16/10/2018 20:03

Hahahaha!! Dsis has a kid in her class a couple of years ago who did the “elephant”

I’ve been frugal and am giving up my nail appointments until just before Christmas. I had to cancel my appointment today and have just soaked the gels off and filed my nails back. So £79 saved. I figured that given we’ve got loads of decorating etc to do I’ll just ruin them.

We’ve recieved £331 back from the lawyers. Wahoooo. So that’ll pay for the insurance.

WreckTangled · 16/10/2018 20:04

That's great jam I physically can't run so hats off to you.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 16/10/2018 20:11

Jam, how long will it take you to train to become a coach?
Will it mean you will be training the next generation for the Olympics?

QuiteFabULousDahling · 16/10/2018 20:20

Thats great news Wolf and Cag and glad you got tupperware !
Wreck its wierd as its 16 here but DH has just made me a hot water bottle .
We havent even lit the first fire yet so no heating either.
Thats so brilliant Jam wish I could run but I cant .Ill settle for wheels Grin
Lovely pic -I love getting out and appreciating the seasons .
Its drawing in here ,lights on the bike tonight .
Glad DS is better and hope you get the paint sorted em
Very pleased with the £9 Asda slowcooker Fluffylinked to a while ago.
Chilli is perfect -Im going to keep my big one for joints now.
DH is ill -so sighing and telling me repeatedly

Cagliostro · 16/10/2018 20:31

Oh jam that’s brilliant! You’ll be able to help so many people 😍🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Loving Danish week on bake off.

My heating has been on for a few weeks, not constantly of course but now and again. In future years we will be more concerned with efficiency and cost cutting but this year I am just enjoying having heating so I don’t give a damn about the cost :o not that I know how to use it yet really I just ask DH 😳

Justanothermile · 16/10/2018 20:42

Ha thank you. I'll be happy to help my club mates and the other local clubs round here. It will be good to give back. My PT does a lot of out reach work with schools and is always looking for volunteers to run clubs. Running only ever makes me feel positive. I'm honestly met more selfless folk involved in the sport than anywhere else. And folk overcoming amazing challenges. You can do the badges as quickly or slowly as you want or need to. Smile

Justanothermile · 16/10/2018 20:44

I'm with you on the seasons quite, there's something lovely about each one. Autumn tops it at the moment, early autumn. Oh the colours.

Watching Bake Off too, come on Raull Grin

ememem84 · 16/10/2018 21:06

bedTime for me. I had secretly hoped dh would stay in with ds. As I let ds eat his crispy toast I. Bed this morning so have had to de crumb the bed. Quietly. Because he’s asleep. Snoring away like a train.

Catface is on the end of my bed watching over him. She’s leaning against his cot purring her biggest purr. I’m hoping it vibrates his bed so he stays asleep. Poor little mate is so snotty. I swear I’ve never seen so much snot before. Eugh.

Jam, that sounds fantastic, good luck with it all.

QuiteFabULousDahling · 16/10/2018 21:43

Autumn is my favorite but then again a Spring day or a snowy winters day ..
Its having something to look forward to ,a change that I like and knowing whats coming next .
The comfort of familiarity.

I thought of Lonely earlier .
I was on Ravelry and there is a pattern for knitted acorns 😍
I can imagine Lonely making them but it cost £7 Confused for one pattern so not frugal .
