girlie dd1 has those ones in the knee length, as school shoes!! They will last you years.
Mine are 3yo, 2yo, last year and brand new! The old ones need cleaning, but are good as gold.

Just done s bit of work (painting) anly about £10 worth, so barely worth it, but I know the order needs to go out tomorrow. Trying to herd dc towards their beds, dp is negotiating with ds...it's rather funny to listen to.

NSD.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/10/2018 22:26

Omg lonely they are all lush!! I love boots, if money was no object I'd have about 50 pairs!!

Right off to bed I go, night all 😴

AdoraBell · 14/10/2018 22:54

About £16/17 spent at a local food festival, that included my lunch. DH paid for DDs food.

I would also spend £££ on boots if we were swimming in 💰.

Grocery delivery tomorrow.

Cagliostro · 14/10/2018 23:15

Noooo there’s no way I could do that wreck they are quite “on it” in terms of good tenancy etc - which I’m fine with TBH. Apparently we can ask for permission after a year anyway so all I want to ask is that due to my health needs they let us do it earlier.

That’s assuming we actually are allowed of course. The lady who told us that when she showed us round also told us the attic was empty 🤔🙄

Cagliostro · 14/10/2018 23:35

Ooh not quite caught up yet but @Bornlazy could I please have a code if I’m not too late and you’re definitely not needing it? I was going to order DD a puddlesuit on M&S so if it’s valid for that it’d save a few quid :)

Also forgot to say thank you for the early years activity link I’ve got it open on another tab now and will look up that Facebook group too 💐

WreckTangled · 15/10/2018 06:25

Ah ok cag. I'm sure they'll let you seems silly not to.

My tcb account is at £47 and I have £7 confirmed. Almost there...

The cat woke me up at 6 Angry he was grooming against the airing cupboard and it was banging every time he moved.

Wolfcub · 15/10/2018 06:37

Morning all. Rotten nights sleep again last night. I am aiming not to spend anything today

ememem84 · 15/10/2018 06:37

Ds has a cold or is teething.

He went to bed at 7. He felt warm and was a bit snotty and had a cough. But otherwise fine. He was tearing round screeching and chasing dsis and me. And being chased.

He woke up at 9 crying. Then again at 11. Then stayed awake until 2 (with me) then dh took over (I had to ask him to no volunteering). Then he fell off the bed (I think) at 430 - i went back to bed so left dh with him. Then was awake again at 530.

It’s been exhausting. Mostly because I haven’t been sleeping well so needed a decent sleep last night.

Off to work we go.... 😴

SummerDaize · 15/10/2018 06:57

Sorry to hear that Em. That's a rough night, right enough.

I also had a crappy night and dh was on call all night, so I will go and find out how he got on.

Bornlazy · 15/10/2018 07:26

Cag I have sent you a code.

ememem84 · 15/10/2018 07:38

I’m suspecting teething. But on DMs advice we’re going to the dr today. I’ve emailed work and have told them the situation. And I’ll be in when I’m in.

Someone is happily singing and eating pieces of apple at present #fraud

SummerDaize · 15/10/2018 07:55

LOL! I totally remember the fraud thing. My ds used to practically tap dance in the doctor's office no matter how ill he was. It was very frustrating. Good luck there.

LonelyOversharer · 15/10/2018 07:56

em unexplained bad nights are the worst. Has he got any molars yet? They were either hell or not-even-noticed here.

My new boots are the first pair of shoes I've bought for myself in 16 months. So averaged out over that time, quite reasonable! Basically something I wanted, and possibly shouldn't have just bought.

We are on such a go slow this morning. And there is frost on the car. Brrr.

WreckTangled · 15/10/2018 08:10

It's 12 degrees here. Crazy mild. Next ten days looks similar. Hooray for not having to put the heating on!

SummerDaize · 15/10/2018 08:38

We have rain here and the radiator in the kitchen is on. It feels so odd sitting with my back against it enjoying the heat after feeling so cooked this summer.

CurlsandCurves · 15/10/2018 08:57

em ooh, rough night. I know what you mean about fraud, they’re always bright and breezy like it never happened whilst us parents are absolutely hanging! I was kicked out of bed at 3 am by DS2 having had a bad dream. His mattress is really soft so not a great nights sleep.

Miserable rain here and cold. My living room is like a laundrette, got all the ironing out to get done later. But first, Zumba and food shop.

I’m definitely going to make some soup this week, spicy red pepper and lentil as I’ve got a few peppers that are about to go soft in the bottom of the fridge.

Curly girl meet yesterday was fab, met it’s of lovely curly ladies. We had a product swap so I got rid of some mousse I’m not using and a hair masque that my hair didn’t like. And I picked up a curl refresher spray that I’ve been meaning to try.

ememem84 · 15/10/2018 10:16

Dr thinks he’s brewing a cold. Or teething. But she was very lovely and checked him over. He’s due his 1 year vaccinations on Friday (dh is taking him). Dr said she’d still do them if he was the same as today so that’s good.

He was as happy as while we were there. Smiling and laughing etc. Little bugger.

She’s prescribed some paracetamol (which I could have bought myself but nursery won’t give it unless it’s prescription).

No molars as yet. So it could be that too. But dr said they don’t tend to present with a temperature. He’s on the high side of normal now but was at 38.1 first thing.

Instructions are to call if he gets worse and to take him back.

£27.

I'm really enjoying the little bit on the ebay seller's page that says how much money I've made in the last 60 days. It encourages me to sell more.

tbh it's not a real number as it was mostly things I sold from my parent's flitting, but it's encouraging, nevertheless.

Grr to children and bad nights! DS was okay last night, thankfully, but the night before he was awake from 3am to 6am. Couldn’t say why but I think it was stomach ache (he’d had the runs earlier seems okay now though). I had a lie in yesterday but was still knackered all day. It was a very unproductive weekend. Dd has been waking very early too because she has a cough.

Well today is DD’s first full day in nursery. DH dropped her off at 8am and she was bawling her eyes out. I checked and they said she was fine after 5 mins and has had a lovely play in the garden this morning and poked leaves through the grill cover of the fish pond (her favourite Garden thing). They sent me a link to register for an app where I can see photos from her day and exactly what she’s eaten, nappies etc. Seems like a lot of work for them but it’s nice to know she’s fine.

I am meant to be wfh but am finding it hard to get into writing my paper as I am thinking about the kids. I emailed my accountant instead as I had lots of things to discuss with him about starting work, activating my dormant company etc. So at least I’ve done something important. I am sat in Costa this morning as the Cleaner is in the house and I don’t want to get in her way or be distracted. Current tally around £6.50 for two rounds of hot drink, just to justify my table. Worth it for the peace though!

Right, back to the grindstone...

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 15/10/2018 11:00

I find pets can be like that as well with looking like death at home and then jumping all round the vets room! They like to make liars out of you.

I'm back at the Dr's as gastritis is quite bad, not sure they can do much other than give me antacids but thought I should get it checked.

Bornlazy · 15/10/2018 11:16

A broken nights sleep is so draining. I am awake every night at some point , but I find I need less sleep now that I am older.

Girlie I wonder if you have helicobacter pylori. It might be worth testing you for it.

ememem84 · 15/10/2018 11:29

seacow is the app “Tapestry” ? I love it. At our nursery they print all the pictures from the kids “career” with them and present you with a book on graduation.

We also upload pics from our weekend etc so they can see what he’s been up to. Apparently they like involved parents...!

Thanks born he just told me to double up on the omeprazole for a week and go back if no better. I'm pretty sure this is as a result of taking naproxen and possibly using volterol gel? Very annoying though as means I really can't tolerate nsaids at all 😞
