Ds has very recently got home. We are getting a takeaway.
Ocado shop coming Late tonight

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 14/10/2018 19:32

Yes mammy boys definitely do, ds1 (17) ate so much between the ages of 13 and 15, I thought he would burst, ds2 (13) is going the same way, he eats so much bread, I buy 4 loaves a week!

QuiteFabULousDahling · 14/10/2018 19:37

The tinned chickpeas are roasted as well in the Jack Monroe recipe -chuck them in quick !
Keep a few aside after roasting to put on the top with a drizzle of olive oil .

Think its cumin and garlic as well.
Im lazy and use garlic olive oil.
Cag you dont have tupperware Shock
I am terrible for buying it -DH gives me the look Hmm
You can never have enough!

Wolfcub · 14/10/2018 19:38

I definitely agree boys seem to eat loads. Ds is a bottomless pit, his female friends don’t eat anything like as much

WreckTangled · 14/10/2018 19:45

Dh hates all my Tupperware but I don't have nearly enough!

SummerDaize · 14/10/2018 19:49

I remember thinking that tupperware catalogues were fantastically exciting when I was a kid.

ememem84 · 14/10/2018 19:52

mammy beautiful doggo. Japanese Akita I think you’ve said before? Gorgeous boy.

I’m planning on organised mumming once we’ve moved. I think it’ll be a good one for me. I’m starting out with the mindset that dh won’t help. So anything he does do will be a bonus. Shouldn’t be like this but we’ve lived togetber for about 9 years and it’s always been that way. I’m going to focus my rave on cleaning and making sure ds learns to pull his weight (so eventually when he moves out and finds a partner he does his fair share).

eBay things listed. Yay. Waiting game now. I never bother selling books. For me it’s not worth it as postage costs are so high.

We’re watchinn the nfl on the bbc. Remembering a few years back when we went to Wembley to see it.

I go through stages of Tupperware, getting rid of bits I haven't used in a while, then regretting it when I realise that it would have been perfect.
I do have a small Tupperware box that looks a bit like a soap box, I got it for free from a stall when DD1 was a toddler, so it is still going strong 18 years later.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/10/2018 19:55

Dd and I really don't eat that much, today Dd has had cereal, a cupcake, tuna sandwich, crisps, some grapes and just now had a veggie sausage roll with avocado and cucumber. My friends boy would eat that before lunch!! She might have a yogurt later maybe.

I'm so tired tonight, another early night.

I'm leaving the boots in my Amazon shopping basket and will get them tomos I think..... 😍

WreckTangled · 14/10/2018 19:57

Mammy love your dog!

Em when I first met dh he still lived at home but did all of his own washing, cooking and hoovering of his room etc. Maybe in your new house you should have separate washing baskets and you can each do your own Grin

Cagliostro · 14/10/2018 20:10

Awww gorgeous あきた (just showing off with the Japanese keyboard there don’t mind me 😳😂 that says a ki ta) he looks so snuggly!

Nope no tubs or anything ATM as I kept getting annoyed with losing lids. But that was partly as we had fuck all storage and so it just ended up anywhere randomly in the kitchen. But now we have enough space to theoretically have an official Tupperware Shelf. This is very exciting. Just need to work out what to get. Stuff to keep things airtight in the fridge, a box to take out cut veggies etc for baby to have if she gets hungry when we are out, and freezer containers as currently use freezer bags and they all get stuck together and have to be decanted into something to reheat anyway so it’s not saving any effort really. I think I’ll need to buy quite a lot really. Shame :o

Watching strictly. Awwwww backstreet boys. That takes me back! I showed the kids I Want It That Way last week as they’d never heard of them. Which then of course meant I had to show them the eBay song.

Bornlazy · 14/10/2018 20:15

I can confirm that teenage boys never stop eating - start stockpiling food now mammy Grin

Cag could you not just keep the leftover soup in a bowl or mug covered with tinfoil in the fridge? I would recommend the soup mugs that the poundshop sell they are a bit like this but cheaper.

ememem84 · 14/10/2018 20:22

I love the backstreet boys.

Woah - I've gone rogue and added red pesto (as well as roasting the chickpeas!) hope it's ok!

Ikea do good Tupperware... Wink

WreckTangled · 14/10/2018 20:41

Soup is very forgiving. I chuck anything in and worst case I just add more chilli flakes, salt and pepper Grin

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 14/10/2018 20:46

I have a sistema soup mug and one from the pound shop and they both travel well, I just make sure that it stays upright.

Cagliostro · 14/10/2018 20:47

Can’t store anything in bowls as then we don’t have enough for breakfast 😳

Cagliostro · 14/10/2018 20:48

You know what I reeeally need to do, is get my OT housing assessment and beg them to get the HA to grant permission to take a cupboard out so we can buy a dishwasher.

WreckTangled · 14/10/2018 20:49

Cag order a from a Chinese which delivers in plastic containers Grin

WreckTangled · 14/10/2018 20:50

Oh cag cant you just do it? We've redone our whole kitchen including taking a cupboard out. Can't remember the last time we even had anyone in tbh. No one some places end up in such a state!

Wolfcub · 14/10/2018 21:08

Shopping delivered. Chicken packaging has been chopped right into so it’s gone in the bin and a refund has been requested

SummerDaize · 14/10/2018 21:11

I've had this dilemma so many times in rented houses. Once when I was renting just a bedroom, I moved in and it had a bright orange ceiling and it was honestly mindboggling. In the end I just asked if I could paint it and they said yes, and that they also thought it was mindboggling. LOL!

kitkat6 · 14/10/2018 21:19

Food plan done for the week:

We had a woopsy on was back from swimming as both boys wanted a happy meal they asked very nicely and I couldn't be arsed to cook anything else.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/10/2018 21:25

Thanks for all lovely comments about ddog he's the best boy. Mad to go walking, full of enthusiasm but he's reminded of his age very quickly then.

Lovemaltesers · 14/10/2018 21:27

£98 on two child passports applications
£12 on two sets of passport photos
£3.50 Tesco
£85 music lessons for DD1

DP still hasn't sorted his passport renewal. I might have to go on holiday without him, but then I guess the real holiday would be his if I had the DDs with me 🤔

Yesterday's spends
£23 Sainsbury's
£70ish spent by DP in Tesco
£30 M&S (£25 gift voucher used) on boots for DD2
£38 Clark's on trainers for DD2

A spendy weekend!
