Eeeeeeee!!! She’s back!!!! Yay!!! I’m sorry you’ve had a tough time my lovely but glad you’re back! Xxxx

I’m attempting to update my MacBook. And sort out my iCloud storage. I have reached the limit of the free 5gb and was paying £0.79p per month for my 59gb storage and have now exceeded that. So it’s pay £2.99 a month. Or wipe photos and things. I’m attempting to transfer all photos from my phone to my Mac, save them to a usb and then delete from both. Not all pics. Just the rubbish ones.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 09/08/2018 20:13

I did have a quick look at Lindy Bob Wreck but they weren't quite right, it needs to be lovely quality, budget of around £100.

This thread just isn't the same without you Jam sorry about dpony but sounds like he has a wonderful home and will be much loved.

Justanothermile · 09/08/2018 20:14

Wow cag that's fab. Especially the price reduction and space, plus the location sounds perfect. You deserve it, it's been a long time in less than fantastic surroundings. How the caglets coped with the change?

Thanks life

Cagliostro · 09/08/2018 20:18

Aw thanks :) we really struck lucky! Caglets are over the moon too, they have struggled a little with the change but they are doing so well and have been brilliant at helping with unpacking, building and cleaning etc. Such a positive experience for all of us.

Justanothermile · 09/08/2018 20:20

Thanks em, how's the move going?

Oh fabulous about the job life, you deserve that, it's been a while coming. Same hours?

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/08/2018 20:35

Same hours, in town though so not hugely frugal. But I walk or cycle so no car or parking fees. It evens out. I can WFH though but more travel. Swings and roundabouts

mammynowanauntyIRL · 09/08/2018 20:36

Just another mile delighted to see you back GrinGrinGrinGrin missed you loads & worried about you.
Not sure if you were here when I made the decision to separate, nothing much has changed yet but it will.

€1 christening card
€7 eyebrows
€25 hair

Oh wow pony is sold - will miss hearing his funny antics but I'm sure you won't miss the early mornings going to him in bad weather

ememem84 · 09/08/2018 20:40

Move is going well jam

We are outta here on Wednesday. Removals come on Thursday. Sold On Friday and will have money in the bank. Woohoo.

Then have to find somewhere else

In the almost 8 years we’ve been here we’ve paid off £120,000 off our mortgage. How insane is that?!

WreckTangled · 09/08/2018 20:40

I wish dh would tell his boss to stuff it and go self employed. But he won't. He says it's because he doesn't want to take the risk whilst the dc are young but I think we would be fine, there are loads of people who would have work for him. Plus he gets all het up about not having any specific trade on paper but he's been doing this for 15 years now and practically manages the jobs whilst his boss is off fannying about.

ememem84 · 09/08/2018 20:41

And my iCloud storage has resolved itself. I deleted some tv shows I downloaded. Duh. That’d be what was taking up the space then....2 seasons of pretty little liars.

We've got this one. It's a heavy one though, I think you'd need an extra pair of hands to put it up. I struggled.

SnugglySnerd · 09/08/2018 21:16

Jam!!!!!!! So pleased to see you back! I've missed you and our Jamie Oliver recipe appreciation! Sorry to hear things have been tough. I have thought about you often (we all have) and was so hoping all was well. Sorry about dpony too. Welcome back.

WreckTangled · 09/08/2018 21:24

Laska5772 · 09/08/2018 21:54

DGS staying this weekend. Realised that hes outgrown all the things we have for him in y toys and activities (hes now 5 1/2 so spent £50 on two big boxes of Lego basics in Tescos and also about £30 more on other toys and things for him today . He was pleased! weve spent all evening doing Lego ( brings back memories of when Ds was the same age ) .

BreatheSlower · 09/08/2018 22:00

Laska, it's possible that Sunny may have namechanged twice in quick succession.

It's really cold suddenly here. Our house central heating thermostat is clicking on at 17 degrees. That's a big change from sitting sweltering at 32 degrees two days ago. It took me a minute to figure where the jumpers live. Brrrrr...

Justanothermile · 09/08/2018 22:01

Wrecked - taking that leap is hard, very hard. I can get your DH and his reluctance. Not necessarily right, but real for him.

You can rely on me for the JO books guys 😂

Part time sounds perfect Laska. An ideal scenario.

Pork sounds good Bandit, slow cooked is just the job!

Hello Curvy!

Hope you’re okay Snuggly.

I’ve had wine, so spelling and actually making sense may not be the greatest!!

Laska5772 · 09/08/2018 22:06

Laska5772 · 09/08/2018 22:08

oh its me being tired.. scrap last post , no need to reply breathe

Unescorted · 09/08/2018 22:23

Good to see you back jam. Sorry it has been turbulent.

I am on holiday... It is going to be a relaxing one...the hospital didn't find enough of a change in my eye for them to do anything more than continue monitoring it so that is as good as a fix in my book. It is also going to be super frugal because we have an invitation to camp in a Belgian field for free.

Em glad the house has resolved. I didn't realise that you had to go to court to sell and buy property in Jersey. It sounds quite hands on. More entertaining than the paper shuffling here.

Cag I am really pleased your new home is improving your outlook. It is something that I have been rattling on about - housing and environment are so much more than the number of boxes that can be squashed in. I am considered a heretic by some because I rather build fewer than ones that will need replacing in 20-30 years. My other soap box is capital gains tax relief for non doms and owners of more than one property.... Imagine if we had an economic environment where a house was somewhere to live and not a tax efficient money making mechanism for the wealthy.

Unescorted · 09/08/2018 22:25

laska it took me a few scroll backs to work it out too. Happy Birthday breathe belatedly....
