Your or the company you work for? do you get a 10% finders fee?

Cagliostro · 09/08/2018 13:09

Thanks fluffy.

Love the name change breathe!

We have built more kallax. The library corner will be a den too with bean bags etc (Spiderman blanket is not a permanent fixture though) :o

I am shattered today, baby woke in the night (I very quickly got used to the 7hr stretch since we moved)

Yep total groundhog day with cleaning up after meals. Sigh

It’s a company I look after here which is a shareholder in a foreign company which is registered for Spanish vat. The foreign company was meant to offset vat paid for services against vat payable for charters for the boat it owned. Turns out they weren’t doing this.

We’re trying to wind the structure down as my client has sold the boat and has no use of the foreign company. But as there may be vat to reclaim we need to do that. Sigh.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2018 13:19

The other company should reimburse the fees he's paid them. Fun filled afternoon for you.

NSD & I got £5 shoppix and nectar.

ememem84 · 09/08/2018 13:21

Absolutely. We’ve put in a complaint and have been told “but you didn’t tell us to file the returns” so I’ve got our lawyers on it.

They’d absolutely have breached the co law here, and the terms of their constitutional docs. Not sure about in their jurisdiction. But lawyers are on it. And i have to phone Spain. ¡Hola!

ememem84 · 09/08/2018 13:22

Caved. £1.00 bag of popcorn. £0.90 Diet Coke.

ememem84 · 09/08/2018 13:24

My desk neighbour is eating the biggest most ridiculously large salad ever. So many prawns in mayo. His wife made it for him he’s back to training for some martial arts thing. I swear it’s the size of Everest (and looks so fresh and yummy and smells amazing - he’s been warned. If he leaves it unattended I’m swooping in!)

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 09/08/2018 13:43

We have lots of lovely rain here, hooray!
Nice and cool in Basildon.
Having a day indoors with my mum as we have been out everyday.
Going back home tomorrow, then DS2 will go on his next camping trip to Biblins on Sunday.

QuiteCleanBanditlovesdresses · 09/08/2018 14:29

Tipping it down here -bliss !
Knitting and rain watching

Bornlazy · 09/08/2018 14:36

Not a nsd after all as bought rolls to make us a true Scottish delicacy -a roll with square slice sausage and potato scone. It was amazing!

It’s sunny, but very windy here. As my mother would say a smashing drying day. I’ve been scouring the house for things to wash as I think it’s to rain tomorrow. Not so keen on the ironing it, or putting it away, or remaking the beds...

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 09/08/2018 15:22

blue really helpful story then 😐 some gps are useless, I asked about dds sensory issues once and the dr told me a totally irrelevant story about his sons twitchy eye 😕

cag your house looks so lovely!

We have had a day at home, dd is still freaking out at the sight of wasps so has been hiding out in her room. I've tidied up the garden and done a few jobs, will start packing tonight.

A much needed NSD pre holiday which I'm sure will be ££££

QuiteCleanBanditlovesdresses · 09/08/2018 16:04

Frugaleers
Ikea are recalling ther Sladda bike due to safety issues and several accidents .
Just in case anyone has one .
As you were .

Taytocrisps · 09/08/2018 16:06

I must have a guilty conscience. I had a nightmare that I was in a clothes shop and committed to buying €310 worth of clothes. I was quite relieved when I woke up Grin.

DD has a tummy bug so I took a half-day from work. Unplanned purchase of 7up. She's snoozing atm

Lonely good luck with the bank. Nothing ventured and all that...... I see what you mean about the creditors not accepting a dmp (I'm guessing that's a debt management plan?) when you've a proven record of paying back the minimum payment + extra. It's annoying because you could pay the debt back so much faster if the interest was frozen. Thing is, they don't actually want you to pay back the debt. They want to string it out indefinitely so they can claw back the exorbitant interest. Anyway, see what the bank say on Saturday. If they say no, would it be possible to move the credit card debt to another card with a 0% interest rate?

Scandi I run into delivery problems too only in my case it's Ireland. And I think em encounters difficulties too.

Cag I love the sound of the library corner. Is that DD1 with DD2 in the photo? Don't worry, the faces are indistinct - I can't make out any features.

It's grey and windy and cool here. And has just started raining. I'm glad I'm in for the night.

Flappyjack · 09/08/2018 16:16

Library this morning, then DM took us to lunch and paid :)

£3.00 play area, £9.43 aldi on fruit, bread, milk. Papaya is only 49p and I love it and no one else likes it...so allll mine.

Spent an hour and a half in the garden pulling dead flowers, sweeping stones off the driveway (from the pebbledash) and all the dusty bits and leaves which would have turned to mulch and mud with the rain tomorrow.

Dusty and tired now and DS2 wants to play. Typical.

Ooooh and forgot to mention yesterday DBS checks came through. Just waiting for references next.

Thatsnotmybookworm · 09/08/2018 16:45

Belated thanks for new thread @StoogingOn.

Spends yesterday £23 in Lidl.

Looks like today will be as NSD for me, although DH will have to stop for milk on the way home from work. I find it very difficult to predict how much milk DS will drink in any week!

SnugglySnerd · 09/08/2018 16:47

That looks great Cag.

Didn’t go to soft play in the end. Went to local NT place that we love. Ice creams have gone up a bit since last summer. £2.60 EACH! Still had one though. I can never resist proper ice cream. Dts walked all round the lawn holding my hands. So cute!

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/08/2018 17:33

Dropped my old bike to charity. Collected my euros £503, tried to buy short pj but the q was massive so dumped them, £2 poundland.

Flappyjack · 09/08/2018 17:55

Fjallraven have 50% off. Why isn't it my birthday. Dammit.

Cagliostro · 09/08/2018 18:10

Yes tayto that's my biggest baby :o she has been in there much of the day.

I have rechristened the slow cooker. Bolognese. Can't do it too slowly though as I was very disorganised so it's on high (I did cook the mince first anyway). If I can start using it regularly things will definitely be easier!

One more trofast to build. The Caglets have so many toys. They play with them all though so I don't have any more to get rid of.

My friend is looking for bean bags for the library (and quite a few other things) at ikea tomorrow.

Justanothermile · 09/08/2018 18:29

Hi. Can I perhaps re-join, I've name changed. I've had a major life event and came totally off here and social media in general for some considerable time. Ive got my shit together now, but it's taken a bit of time. I've logged back on to find masses of messages, even from MN. Thank you. I'd just like you all to know that I wouldn't have not responded just like that without reason, many of you guys hopefully know that much about me, least I hope you do.

I run a lot, have dogs, older DC, like a certain clothing brand, have a DH that struggles mentally. You might guess from that.

I'm genuinely sorry to have just zapped off the planet.

Not wishing to be mysterious either. Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2018 18:33

Oh we take everyone so welcome back.

Cagliostro · 09/08/2018 18:36

OMG OMG OMG!!! I am very very happy to see you here my lovely ♥️ we were worried especially because we knew you wouldn't just disappear. I am very sorry that you've had something bad going on :(

Huge huge welcome back, we have missed you xxx

WreckTangled · 09/08/2018 18:38

Yay she's back!!

Cagliostro · 09/08/2018 18:38

If the above is too outing/OTT please do report BTW, I just got all excited there Blush :o

Justanothermile · 09/08/2018 18:42

Usual shit from fluffy thenGrin

No, all's good. I'm so glad to return. I'm absolutely sorry, but had genuine reason.

How long before I start annoying you all? Grin
