Will have a mooch in Boots /SD later.

WreckTangled · 22/07/2018 12:08

Tayto it's a storage box! It has a lid too. Dd has put her special things in it Smile

Taytocrisps · 22/07/2018 12:10

Ah, I bet she loves it!

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/07/2018 12:30

Ah sorry quite, miss read.

Swept garden paths and under the hedge. Yep to the tip needed then to b&m for some slate.
It's hot, hot here. The 2 X down pores have evaporated now

QuiteCleanBandit · 22/07/2018 12:46

No worries life😚
Ive tried almost every hot cloth cleanser and oil out there Grin
Ultrabland literally changed my life!
No more huge lumps on my chin so worth every penny and never ever changing again

I do try the BS Camomile oil -very nice but Superfacialist just pips it for me have got 3 bottles stashed and last winter I only used half so very economical .
The worst for me was Liz Earle it stinks my face was a mess !

SunnyLikeThursday · 22/07/2018 13:09

snuggly That's great to know that you've done a music exam as an adult. Grade 6 piano must be quite something. You must have a lot of fingers.

I'm working away here on grade 1 clarinet, and it's going okay. Grade 1 doesn't include any of the hard notes, so most of the time there are no sudden shrieking noises though still some of the time. Also after 5 minutes of playing I end up gasping like a fish out of water, but I think that's meant to get better with practise.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/07/2018 14:15

Making holiday lists. Have quite a lot that I can cobble together from home so won't be too spendy.
Uniform list sorted waiting for 25%

ememem84 · 22/07/2018 14:35

We’ve been to see fil. He gave us a bucket of tomatoes from his garden. Frugal win.

Ds apparently likes whole tonatoes now.

QuiteCleanBandit · 22/07/2018 14:57

Mmmm lovely warm tomatoes -mine are nearly ready .
Have given up on the cleanser-everything is for scrubbing, spots and pore cleansing.
which gives me spots funny that ,perhaps its so you buy all the gels and spot creams in the same rangeHmm
Will stick with 9-5 for now

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/07/2018 15:00

£8 in Tesco, incl dh's lunch for next week. I have a fridge full of salad stuff. I bet it's empty by Wednesday.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/3311305-Kallax-owners-come-hither Cag You need this thread.

Cagliostro · 22/07/2018 15:28

Already on it fluffy 😳😂

QuiteCleanBandit · 22/07/2018 17:07

Hahaha!
Thats a great thread 😂😂😂
I hate ours-the cats sit on it and then jump down with muddy paws .
So useful though .

Well, after deciding I would stick with 9-5 BlushBlushBlush I popped into Waitrose and lo and behold they do their own Pure skin care range -all on 3 for 2 .
Cleansing milk was £2.50 so £5 for 3 200ml bottles.
Cruelty free Smile

Wrongwayup · 22/07/2018 17:24

£20 top up shop. nothing else needed as going away Friday and £30 fuel

Cag -sounds amazing

Em go for it - what's the worst that could happen?

Wolfcub · 22/07/2018 17:25

Was about to say it was a no spend day but just realised I bought a couple of ebooks this morning Confused

and Girlie I have been to 5 different garden centres this week - feel like an addict admitting something. x

LonelyOversharer · 22/07/2018 18:20

I have spent a small fortune today! Incredibles 2 is brilliant. If you get a chance, go see it! We had a bloody brilliant time. My dc go out so rarely, their eyes were like saucers going into the metro centre. How many almost 16yr olds are overawed by a shopping mall these days?? Ds said it hurt his eyes (all the lights and stuff to look at, not the movie)!

You must be melting life and creme it's 8° hotter on your side of the country.

We did take snacks from the co-op £8, but £6 costa, £18 slushies, £30 ikea and £17 asda. Plus £50 diesel, but that should do the week. If today cost me 2 days working, it's totally worth it Smile

mammynowanauntyIRL · 22/07/2018 18:49

Spends today £15 my share of afternoon tea at patisserie Valerie
£50 approx in m&s on new bras
£12 in primark on underwear and an Edinburgh tshirt
£10 in Superdrug on sunscreen & Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo(it was reduced)

WreckTangled · 22/07/2018 19:25

Mammy is it cheaper over here than in Ireland?

I spent two hours sorting the dc's room earlier and it's still not done! Looks a lot better though.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/07/2018 19:26

It's bloody boiling lonely.
I was gardening too.

The metro centre is senses over load I think. My DC have only been once or twice.

CurlsandCurves · 22/07/2018 19:28

Low spend day today. DS2 had a friend to play this afternoon. Spent hours at the park playing footy and messing about on the park itself. Only cost me a couple of ice lollies from the shop on the walk home.

Not looking forward to this week, going to be 27/28 here, toooo hot!

CremeEggThief · 22/07/2018 19:30

I'm another that's not that keen on the Metrocentre, unless you're talking about Ikea and the big Range they have there! 😀I'd love to see "The Incredibles 2", but might have to go on my own, as DS saw it with his dad.

Thank goodness it's cooled down slightly here; at least we have a slight breeze. It was so humid about 4.30; just like stepping into a thermal bath outside!😂

NSD.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/07/2018 19:56

I will take the DC on a rainy day this week to see the Incredibles 2.

Wolfcub · 22/07/2018 20:08

I remember going to the metro centre shortly after it opened - I still hate covered shopping centres now. Too many people in too small a space. Meadowhall is the worst it gives me palpitations

Creme my ds saw incredibles 2 with his dad too. If we lived a bit closer we could have gone together
