Yikes. Well good luck there. Hopefully it'll all pass and you'll have lovely sunny beach weather to think about instead.

Wolfcub · 20/05/2018 13:08

Argh Em. I would stay well away from dm’s house harsh though it sounds. Could you drop df some supplies off if he needs them hostage money swap style so you are nowhere near the house or him?

Df took me for a walk whilst ds had contact, he says it’s a good job I’m so tough. A major compliment really as I’ve always been a complete emotional/mental health disaster zone I just don’t think he’s ever seen it

Ds has an activity this afternoon for an hour, I may need to draw some cash out for that and for parking Tuesday and Thursday next week. I emptied all the washing baskets and did all the washing yesterday, ds has somehow refilled them all 🤬

Leftover ham in sandwiches for lunch will probably do soup and rhubarb crumble for
Tea

Don’t worry wolf staying far from away. Just spoke to df. He invited us for dinner. Nope.

He’s also sad that they’ve “let us down” tomorrow.

I’ve told him it’s fine. We’ve sorted it. But he won’t have it. It’s one of those things. It happens.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/05/2018 13:27

We are at the beach! Beautiful day here so thought would make the most of it, dd is off having a lovely time and I'm relaxing with a cuppa and book 😊

em sickness bugs are grim, hope you all manage to avoid.

meadow when's your due date again?

Spent £13 in asda gota skirt for dd, was quite pleased as it's perfect for her show and was only £6, also got sanpro as AF is being awful at the moment.

ChristmasSeacow · 20/05/2018 14:31

Anyone got any tips about getting suncream (yellow stains) out of white school shirts? 😬

I’m frantically trying to clear various piles of crap as the new Cleaner starts tomorrow. DH is helping and I’m stopping frequently so hopefully won’t overdo it. I need to list a lot of stuff on fb...

Meadow I’ve pm’d you

QuiteCleanBandit · 20/05/2018 15:10

There was a thread about that Sea
I think the conclusion was that it doesnt come out.
Working on the veg patch/garden.
Tomato plants, courgettes ,squash and peas in.
DH has strimmed the f*ck out of everything and finally admitted that my raised beds are a good idea Hmm
Its only taken him 2 years to come round

Just had some Jersey Royals for the first time this year. Seriously delicious! Thought of you, Em.Smile

Meal Plan:
Saturday: veggie Spaghetti Bolognese (with Quorn mince instead of red lentils, for a change).
Today: mushroom and spinach Goodlife Kievs with Jersey Royals and mixed veg.
Monday: veggie Spaghetti Bolognese.
Tuesday: potato and mushroom frittata and salad, using the last of the Jersey Royals.
Wednesday: jackets with cheese and coleslaw/pesto and salad.
Thursday: pasta and pesto with avocado.
Friday: bean burgers, oven chips and salad.

Today has been an NSD so far. Friday's and yesterday's spends were almost all on card, as I have literally 12p in cash until tomorrow!
Friday: £10.50 bus travel; £6.24 Asda and £3 window cleaner and 60p chocolate bar, with the last of my cash.
Yesterday: £49.87 Sainsburys delivery; £7.25 Asda and £6.05 Costa.

WreckTangled · 20/05/2018 15:53

Went to a fête and didn't spend anything! Frugal win!

ememem84 · 20/05/2018 16:11

creme 🥔🥔 love a jersey royal. With butter? And mint?

Dh is still feeling a bit ropey (loads better than the last 2 days though) and again he’s been eating. So we’re having courgette risotto for dinner. Mmm.

We’ve just been out for a walk. Ds saw cows. And chickens. And geese. Eek! And a red squirrel. 🐂🐓🐿🦆

ememem84 · 20/05/2018 16:11

Today’s been an nsd. Woop

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/05/2018 16:59

£5.16 Tesco. Food for Dh.

We went to lunch but they sent out two raw in the middle burgers in 15 minutes so they comped us the whole bill. My steak was lovely.

Wolfcub · 20/05/2018 17:00

4.50 on ice cream for ds and I after his performance
Em courgette risotto sounds nice. I usually make mushroom risotto but it sounds like I ought to investigate a courgette version

£40 ish today after an afternoon in the pub. The team lost the footy but it was right down to the wires and last minute of extra time. They displayed the better sitting behaviours though. Poor ref got threatened by the other team coach. He was a lovely bloke too, fab with the kids.
£20 for the coach

Wolfcub · 20/05/2018 18:05

Wooop I seem to have managed to have sold tickets I had for a comedy show for my birthday in a couple of weeks

OP posts:
Wolfcub · 20/05/2018 18:07

Life that’s awful. We’ve had parents and the coach’s wife threatened before but never the ref

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/05/2018 19:00

Awful lesson to teach the kids 🙄

LonelyOversharer · 20/05/2018 19:00

We have been for a nice walk just a couple of miles from home. We tend to forget the lovely scenery on our doorstep.

Nsd. Finally. Turkey roast dinner for tea. Using up lots of little bits of veg. Enough turkey left for a creamy pasta in the week.

ememem84 · 20/05/2018 19:20

Courgette rissotto wasn’t great. No risotto rice. Used brown basmati instead. And no wine. And no lemon. And no cream cheese. Apart from that though....

My eBay listings are a go! Hoorah. Hopefully they’ll sell. If they do I’m £55 up as a minimum.

ChristmasSeacow · 20/05/2018 19:39

Good result there Fluffy. Did DH get an edible burger in the end?

I’m having chorizo hash tonight. Suggested by someone helpful (can't remember who though - Unescorted maybe?) when I asked about quick meals. I had chorizo that needed using anyway so winner. Mmm, with a fried egg on top.

Glad the ferret is okay Lonely. Also glad the ferret is many miles away from me Wink

ChristmasSeacow · 20/05/2018 19:41

Ooh, I have a £10 Boden voucher to use tonight. It would probably be more frugal not to use it. Hmmm.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/05/2018 19:47

No I bought him something in Tesco. The food was really good though, usually it’s pretty meh these parts. We'll go again but not order the stupidly thick burger.

Order some socks, they always need replacing.

ememem84 · 20/05/2018 20:02

Ick. Raw burgers. In the USA one a couple of trips they’ve asked me how I want my burger cooked? Medium? Rare? Eeeeer no. Well. Well well. Well done.

I’m all for rare steak. But not burger.

We are trying ds’ bedtime without a dummy tonight. So far it’s been 5 minutes and he’s crying. He is tired. So I’m hoping he just drops off soon.

He usually cries a bit when he’s tired. Then it all goes ominously quiet.

ememem84 · 20/05/2018 20:12

And sleep.

Nursery news latter and menus arrived.

This weeks food includes: salmon and crushed new potatoes; vegetable lasagna; lamb curry.

And he will be learning yoga from July. Well. The babies who can crawl will be. Ffs. #middleclassmuch?

Lots of butter and black pepper, Em, but no mint in. Let yum!

MeadowHay · 20/05/2018 20:28

Girlie DD is 19th June Shock ! I am hoping it comes sometime that week because that way I'll have three weeks of mat leave to relax/enjoy myself/get as prepared as possible (there are still things we need to buy!), but also won't need to be induced or anything...but I guess no baby arrives to schedule!

I don't like risotto. One of the few meals I just don't enjoy. I just feel like the texture is just...not appealing.

Em What are you selling on Ebay? Also your nursery sounds like something out of a book or tv show (in a good way!) Shock!

DParents came round with DB earlier today and they brought me a big bottle of washing liquid that they got a good deal on weeks ago but kept forgetting to give us, and a Tesco Finest white chocolate and strawberry cake which DH and I will soon be tucking in to. Frugal win Grin.

How hard is matched betting? DH used to do it a bit when he was unemployed for awhile and did make a couple hundred quid but he never seemed to properly get into it the way other people seem to here and elsewhere on MN. His subscription(s?) to the site that gives you the deals will have expired now too. I'm considering getting him to try and show me how to do it on mat leave for some extra money given we're going to have very minimal income but am anxious that I won't be able to do it Confused. Also if anyone has any other ideas about ways to boost income whilst on mat leave I'd appreciate them as we are potentially going to struggle.
