We got to Manchester just as the transpennine departed Sad everyone is queuing for a burger (no trolley service) including me

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/05/2018 20:19

Might have to carry out some internet stalking behaviour and see if we can track need down. Bring a stalker is ok right??

Oh wolf, if you didn't have bad luck you would have no luck at all at the minute.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/05/2018 20:21

That’s shit wolf, at least your ds will be looked after. Is it a licensed burger van? It should be a thing.

Tiddly supermarkets have that effect on people.

Free yoghurts on checkoutsmart & clicksnap.

Wolfcub · 01/05/2018 20:23

Scrap that burger king have run out of burgers 🍔

Unescorted · 01/05/2018 20:25

wolf it annoys me when the don't hold trains a couple of minutes when they know there is one coming in with loads of people who have been diverted.

Unescorted · 01/05/2018 20:26

There is a Leon on the ramp or Carluccio upstairs.

Wolfcub · 01/05/2018 20:33

unescorted Virgin asked them to hold it Transpennine refused. I am very very close to losing my shit. There are an awful lot of passengers waiting what is likely to be a tiny train.

Unescorted · 01/05/2018 20:35

They are dicks. How long have you got to wait

Wolfcub · 01/05/2018 20:37

15 mins for it to come in and then bun fight to see who gets on it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/05/2018 20:40

The driver is currently refusing to depart because too many people are on the train. You couldn’t make this up. I have a bloody child protection meeting for ds In the morning in the middle of work. Sorry to vent.

Unescorted · 01/05/2018 20:47

The Piccadilly push.

ememem84 · 01/05/2018 20:48

wolf say what now?! Too many people on the train because the other trains were delayed/late/cancelled and people want to go home

I really hope you get home soon xxx

Unescorted · 01/05/2018 20:49

They never cease to suprise me.

WreckTangled · 01/05/2018 21:00

Oh wolf what a shit time you're having. Is it a child protection conference? We have loads of them at work, try not to worry Thanks

Wolfcub · 01/05/2018 21:13

It’s a CIN I’ve been on the other side of the table previously so not worried in that sense but it’s just another thing on the list of things to deal with on my own

Unescorted · 01/05/2018 21:17

Do you need help?

Wolfcub · 01/05/2018 21:18

No, but thank you, all of you listening to me vent and being so supportive is help enough

LonelyOversharer · 01/05/2018 21:19

Just a thought, but has anyone ever sent anything to need? Or recieved a parcel with a return address? Or is that a step too far stalkerish? I just hope she is ok.

I hope you are a bit nearer home now wolf clearly commuting is a lot shit, especially when you have sole responsibility.

A quiet evening working here. I have been painting Robins. Pretty and theraputic. I have 8 tiny mice to sew up now to send to the States tomorrow.

Unescorted · 01/05/2018 21:20

If that changes let us know.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/05/2018 21:48

Hope you are on the move wolf. Defo email the CEO.

ChristmasSeacow · 01/05/2018 22:44

Home yet Wolf? I’ve only just caught up on this evening, sounds completely hideous. The last thing you need right now, you must be knackered.

Glad your day was fine Em.

Sunny I’m glad DS enjoyed the dancing and that you also managed the separation!

northender · 01/05/2018 23:02

Well done Em on first day back. The pic is lovely.
Girlie well done on your run, I'm persevering with my circuits etc, it's tough but it definitely works.
wolf sounds like a nightmare journey

Busy but good day here. Dh has been to see his football team play in an important match in Scunthorpe. They lost and now the m62 is closed in 3 places so the sat nav is taking them all round the houses. Not a good night for him.
No spends for me today

UsedToLoveMorrissey · 02/05/2018 06:57

Beautiful photo em. I remember me and DH singing nursery rhymes on the way home to try and keep DS awake so he'd settle down to sleep at home at his normal night time routine. Hardly every worked!

wolf horrible journey home! Hope all goes well today.

The shopping comes today, so it's a make and bake day. Soup, bolognaise ( I do have lentils, might add a few in) and cake. Clearing out the cupboards I found white sauce or lasagne. Not had that for ages so might have that for dinner. With wedges. Yumm.

Started writing a list of all the loans/ccs we've had over the years, together and separately. It's do hard to remember which loan we had at which address and we rented for a while and I can't remember every address either (well over 20 years ago). I'm going to do the PPI thing starting with going to each individual website and seeing if there have a form. Hopefully they do.
