Thanks meadow if I’m honest I’m not ok going back to work. I’m sad at leaving ds at nursery which is ridiculous as I know he loves it and it’ll be so good for him. And I need to go back to work for me.

I wanted a lovely “final” day just me and ds and have had a shocker. I’ve cried and cried and shouted at him and feel so guilty for that. He’s done nothing other than be poorly and not sleep.

I will be ok though. I know it. Give it a couple of days and I’ll be ok.

Nsd today.

I think you can pay them into any bank but you have to pay them in as a deposit.

em don't beat yourself up about it. We all have good days and bad days. There are days when work bleeds into home time and vice versa.

Ah Em I wish I could give you a very big inmumsnetty hug. It’s so hard wanting a perfect day and it not Going as planned don’t beat yourself up you are tired and Ill and have lots of emotions swirling about understandably. Try and get an early night and as someone else has said concentrate only in getting ds to nursery and yourself to work in a semi clean outfit that’s all that matters

Hi all not caught up at all with the thread, you lot are too chatty!!

We had a great wend in Southampton, went to marwell zoo which was brilliant. Reckon spent about £30 on lunch and gift shop, my mum paid for us to go in.

The drive home was hard going as I was so tired, we must have walked miles!!

Today was a NSD

Ah em, that's awful. It's so rubbish when you want something to be just so and it isn't. When you feel better have your planned last day on a weekend.
It's tough being a parent, guilt for working, guilt for not, can't help them when they are ill, getting to the end of your tether and being human.

So today £6 superdrug, £9 Tesco, £27 gloves reduced by 10% with scout discount in millets.
Manchester tomorrow on expenses, rubbishes for steps and macros though.

Em I know you'll miss ds but I also know how much you love your job. Honestly it's great to be you again rather than ds' mummy for a few hours of the day. The day will fly by.

Awful nights sleep here. Really quite concerned about what could happen with DPs job. I need to do some job hunting for both of us as I should contribute more too as it’s not just his issue if he has to take a pay cut.

Which is crazy because it’s not like I haven’t done this before. Ds has been to a full day of nursery before. I’ve been to work before. Yet I’m feeling nervous anxious sick! 😂 it will be fine

Today’s outfit of choice is a pair of burgundy red trousers, a white t-shirt tucked in at the front a black blazer and leopard print flats.

Em that sounds like a great outfit. Nervous is ok whilst you’ve done all this before it’s still new too. Once you get in the office and have a cuppa with your colleagues you will be fine and we’re all here

Ds is on top form today. Singing smiley and super happy. Makes it much easier. And the sun is shining.

Not only am I struggling to keep up with the thread, April was spendy! Must try harder!

Well lifelong the revive active was for me! Everything else was for ds, and I guess medicine cupboard had gone a bit bare so needed restocking

Early lunch today as I'm bored. I've got couscous salad with feta, carrot sticks and humous and a pulsin orange choc chip bar. Yum!

mammy yes slept ok- I had night nurse which helped. And Dh slept in with ds. I have just shaken the night nurse off....

I miss ds so bad! Which is ridiculous as I’ve done Nursery before and have done work. So why? Why do I miss him this much?! love that little guy.

Morning has gone fine so far. 24000 emails to go through. I’ve read the last months and will file the rest.

Having lunch with dh now. He’s buying sammies.

I feel super confident today but also anxious.
