Sorry to hear ds is poorly Wreck. Poor lad. I hope you got some sleep.

Lonely totally LOL at your dishy guy trouble. I really know that problem. I currently have a similar difficulty which is exercising my mind a good deal. I read online the other day, a quote from a mother: " Little does the bus driver know, that the "I love you!" that I shout to my kids every morning, is also for him." I thought that was just hilarious. Your room looks amazing btw.

Girlie We're just off to Ely, which is not far at all. Dh fancied a holiday away and I fancied having no extra work or long drive, so we're having a holiday 20 minutes away. LOL!

Nice clear sky today, I see.

I didn't get much sleep to be honest. Ds has still got a fever. We're going to stay with my sister tonight and I would cancel but dd and my sister and her dc are so excited. Ds says he still wants to go too.

ememem84 · 06/04/2018 07:48

Morning.

Ds stirred at around 1 (cried a bit but was still asleep so I popped his dummy back in and sssssh’d for a bit) then stirred again at 555. And then at 630 was singing to himself.

He seems ok. A bit snotty sounding. No temperature. His eye looks fine. He’s a bit grumpy but generally ok.

I slept a bit. Probably dropped off around midnight and woke up when he stirred at 555.

I don’t think we need the dr.

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/04/2018 08:05

Gws poorly DC.

ememem84 · 06/04/2018 08:13

fluffy interesting thread. Shame (for me) I can’t try most of the products. Damm no aldi Lidl Superdrug primark....

SunnyLikeThursday · 06/04/2018 08:42

Em If I'd had as good a night at that when ds was that age I'd have thought a miracle had occurred. Grin I think you're doing fine. If the eye is still troublesome the usual thing is to put one drop of Johnson's baby shampoo in a mug of warm water, dip a cotton wool ball and then just sweep it across the closed eye. Johnson's baby shampoo has the antiseptic in it that is used in eye surgery, and it sorts out bacterial conjunctivitis in short order, without bothering the baby at all. Good luck there. I know what it's like to have a worry with a baby in the night. You're doing a great job. If you do feel concerned you can always visit the GP anyway just to be sure.

I dont seem to be going into work again. I think have gone p/t and half-retired but not told anyone!! ..(I keep reminding my boss about my retirement/p/t request but he hasn't done anything yet AFAICS ).

We can work from home and boss is away.. I'd normally be in another office anyway on Fridays. but no one really expects me...

I wonder if they will ever notice!

I have actually answered all the emails done all that i have to do and am completely up to date on monitoring/ stats work ..

ememem84 · 06/04/2018 08:56

Thanks sunny he seems fine in himself fairly chirpy this morning not off his food etc.

I know if I need it I can get him an appointment tomorrow with our gp. They will always see babies under 1 any day same day. Pretty sure it’s mostly teething. He doesn’t have a temperature his cheeks are red and a bit warm but he doesn’t feel warm iyswim. His eye looks fine today. No wateryness. And he slept which is good.

He’s having a nap on bed now and hasn’t had any more calpols.

I’m off for lunch with the boss today. Ds is being looked after by Dm and df.

Laska5772 · 06/04/2018 09:11

..btw its not so bad as it seems.. I am logged to work just not sat at my office desk...

Unescorted · 06/04/2018 09:30

Em glad you got some sleep in the end.
Wreck I would be worried too...a week without improvement is not good. Does your GP do a phone back service so you can speak to the doctor without an appointment?

Sea if you are reading and not posting too much (understandable) have a huge hug.
Need hope things are ok for you.
Laska use the email timer to space them out. That way you will look busy all day.

I need to do the meal plan and shopping list... I am avoiding it. Even the washing is looking preferable. I also need to review the budget spreadsheet...we keep having to limp to the end of the month. Something is not right.

SnugglySnerd · 06/04/2018 09:40

I was reading that thread yesterday fluffy. Have just been to Lidl but only did a top up shop and of course bought pain au chocolat. I cannot resist the bakery at Lidl. Only spent £3 something. If Lidl was nearer I'd do more shopping there.

Rest of day should be NSD.

WreckTangled · 06/04/2018 10:25

Unescorted I saw gp last night and she said viral.

My gp has just called but I missed it. I had my bloods at 12 yesterday so can't be good news 😂

WreckTangled · 06/04/2018 10:41

Laska5772 · 06/04/2018 10:56

mammymammyIRL · 06/04/2018 12:11

I'm going to attempt an epic catchup I think!

It's been a spendy week, looking forward to not spending at all this weekend.

Laska5772 · 06/04/2018 12:16

Downstairs window facing drive..Car in drive. Doorbell working ( i've just checked!) They could have seen me if they looked .. . Parcel is for DH , no contact number on yodel card.. I'm going on holiday any-minute-now (TM). The house we're going to isn't free until 5pm and it's only a 20 minutes drive away, so we're trying to waste time at home so we don't end up wandering the streets unable to get into the house. Hey ho. I haven't tried very hard with the packing, so we may have a comedy shortage of things when we get there.

Laska5772 · 06/04/2018 12:49

Sunny thanks ! . am calmed down a bit now,, (but Feckin' Yodel!!)

Have a good break.. at least you can always pop home for anything you forget . and your usual local take-away may deliver there also !

SunnyLikeThursday · 06/04/2018 12:51

LOL! Yes you're right.

That was pretty weird people sweeping into spaces without seeing you. That's really not a safe way to behave.

Laska5772 · 06/04/2018 12:55

WOOOOOooooooo ! (and other ghostly noises!)..

Laska5772 · 06/04/2018 12:58

..Oh and I am now waiting for DPD to deliver a load of stuff from Pets at Home.. But they are usually good ..

mammymammyIRL · 06/04/2018 12:59

wreck that's fast turn around on your bloods and only small issue Smile
I've to catch up from at least page 25
Spends
Thurs - €25 on meal out with some neighbours and dm, also repaid €2 to her for parking on Sat when I'd no change
Fuelcard €55 for my car
Fri - fuelcard for au pair's car similar, minding boggling because it was refuelled two weeks ago and she's been away for almost a week.

Didn't collect Christmas Decorations yet in argos just kept reserving them again and again and now have reserved a 6' prelit tree and 150 decorations for a total of €15.97 but twice because I'll get them for work also and be reimbursed.

Unescorted · 06/04/2018 13:54

wreck hope he starts getting better soon. How do you go about correcting a vit D deficiency without sunshine.

Laska I see you.

The meal plan is coming along. I need a larger freezer so I can half prep or pre cook for during the week. Unfortunately it will require a larger utility room or a rejig / rip out of the current one.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/04/2018 14:12

You need to do a Kirsty on the utility room. She’s always suggesting ripping walls out. I’d love more freezer space too. I’d prep roast veg, roast potatoes, mash. Homemade breadcrumb stuffing. All the things I cba to do at night.

£10 aldi. Didn’t buy alcohol, 😇.
