£3 Wilko
£7.88 Tesco - we only went in for strawberries, white vinegar and cocktail sausages Sad Getting 40p cashback with Green Jin.

It is pouring with rain and very cold out here. I still have cold feet.

Loveabaconsandwich · 21/01/2018 11:53

I now have a limescale free kettle and a stinky vinegar smelling kitchen Grin

QuiteCleanBandit · 21/01/2018 12:31

Omg Love have just done mine and my sink #mustbebored Grin

LonelyOversharer · 21/01/2018 12:33

It's snowing thickly here, settling on the un melted ice and snow from last week brrr. Dd1 is out walking in the hills with her new camera, she'll be freezing. I'm resisting the temptation to go and find her (must let go a bit and let her have some freedom!).

Screwfix was £12.98 as expected, 10 sanding belts. Asda was £69.66 Confused ffs. I cannot be trusted. All sorts of stuff unneeded crap plus food, cat food etc. I'm going to try not to do any shopping (bar milk) next week. I will fail.

Right, going to see if the sander still works (It's been 7 years since I used it last).

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/01/2018 12:42

About 10 mins after I last posted snow started.
Sledging this afternoon instead of the cinema #frugal

WreckTangled · 21/01/2018 12:47

We had a bit of snow but it quickly turned into rain

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/01/2018 12:48

I will look at that coat as I still need a footy line coat.

mammymammyIRL · 21/01/2018 12:48

Love I bought descaler yesterday as my bff swears by it for toilets, think my lime is more stubborn than hers. Kettle didn't get sparkly on first go & I don't think toilet will either Sad

Lonely you're great at diy!
I must put lats back on ds's bed it collapsed under myself ds & dd this morning when we were watching a movie on Netflix

Dds tonsils are badly swollen so have booked her in to out of hours service €60 but our own gp would be €50 & I'd be down the time at work too, plus this way she'll have medicine quicker. Last time she was sick was early 2014

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/01/2018 13:08

Dri-pak do citric acid, you can dissolve them in water for de-scaling. For toilets you can bail the water out first then put it down.

Our waters like liquid calcium so I have to do it all the fucking time.

£2.58 top up shop. Two bottles of just milk lactofree milk using a coupon I found on mse, milks milk at the end of the day. Plus I got a 500 point coupon to use next week.
£12 fuel.

Lonely You will not fail.

mammymammyIRL · 21/01/2018 13:12

Will hunt that out fluffy ya I bail out the water too

needastrongone · 21/01/2018 13:15

Lost track of the thread in one day ha ha!!

Although I see a vicious rumour has circulated about me enabling about Ugg boots.... I deny all knowledge GrinGrin They are brilliant though, I have a pair for dog walking which are trashed now but have been the best shoes

Snowing here but we went out running at 7.30am, 13 slippy miles in the bag.

NSD here.

needastrongone · 21/01/2018 13:41

Also a pair of the Uggs for everyday use and they still look new.

needastrongone · 21/01/2018 14:07

Got your flapjack in the oven lonely, it's my staple flapjack recipe now. X

ememem84 · 21/01/2018 14:11

haha need I love my uggs. every year i say i'm getting rid. but we all know that if i do get rid, I'll need to buy a new pair. Ugliest effing shoes around (except crocs) but so warm. and so cosy. i know they do other styles and not just the suede sheepskin ones. but those are my weakness. (that and make up and shoes and clothes).

load of washing no 4 is on. towels are in the dryer, the "normal" clothes are hanging up to dry, I've done a jumper wash and now more clothes. sigh

also had words (again) this morning with DH re MIL. he skyped her this morning and again i noted she doesn't even bother to ask about me. I asked DH whether this bothered him. he says its because i show her no respect. i have pointed out that respect works both ways...and left it at that. he seems to want to continue the conversation though. not a chance in hell.

have also bee fairly sneaky/productive in that i've emailed the bank (not mine) but the bank which holds the account for our building and have sent them a letter (original to follow in the post) asking them to remove me from the account signatory list with immediate effect. This will hopefully have the desired effect and force the association to call a meeting to approve the managers retirement and appointment of someone new. it'll leave 2 on the account (being the old manger and one of her yes men - i may have also dropped in that she holds signed blank cheques....)

our apartment is going live online today i think. yippee.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/01/2018 15:14

£5 in nectar points recieved from E rewards plus the £5 I got off daily mail & £2.50 voucher today makes it £12.50 this week.

I want to use them to buy paint in Argos to do the downstairs cloakroom for free.

WreckTangled · 21/01/2018 15:44

Home. It's freezing. Going to have chicken pie, roast potatoes, veg and gravy for dinner.

PollyShelbyLifeCoachServices · 21/01/2018 16:00

Spends today 2 lampshades £35.. one reduced to £17 from 27 so really pleased with that .. they may go back if Dh doesn't like them though..

Also picked up some paint sample colour charts .. for our lounge.. we are probably going with grey walls .. even though I think we are a bit late to the trend! Grin

You've all been busy ! I need to read back Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/01/2018 17:15
Grin

I do love a coupon.

QuiteCleanBandit · 21/01/2018 17:39

Have just fixed the washing machine.
DH is very annoyed Grin
He was trying to work while swearing out what was wrong and stomped off in a huff .
I checked and removed the filter which was full of coinsHmm
He is so huffy Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/01/2018 18:12

Sledging after all today.
Cakes made to use up lemons and eggs. Ran out of sugar and flour now so I will make SC lemon chicken for the last Lennon.

I got a veggie haggis but dh put it in the cupboard not the fridge? Do you think it will be ok? I'm inclined to think yes as it's veggie
