Quiet day here planned.

DD1 has stayed home as not feeling well with sore throat and cold. Although I think she felt worse yesterday, I have given her the benefit of the doubt as I also have it and feel horrible.

DD2 appears to be potty trained Smile

snuggly once the twins finish with formula you will be minted! Well, maybe just one less cost. Good luck with the childcare people, total nightmare they are!

Used the now tv free 1 month movie pass yesterday so currently watching Sing. (Code is MOVIEFT if anyone wants to try it on their account). You can cancel straight away and still get the month free. Code for 1 month free entertainment pass is ENTFT. This is a general code, not a referral

SnugglySnerd · 16/01/2018 08:48

Yes Love I can't wait. Only a few weeks to go! Good news on the potty training front.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/01/2018 09:03

Snugg Or Chester? Doesn't that have a castle?.

Love Well done, your nappy days are over. Or are they? Wink

Just need two daily mails for the nectar offer today.

mammymammyIRL · 16/01/2018 09:43

Sugar wreck are the cupboards well stocked?
bacon that's fantastic about the potty training, was relatively painless wasn't it? Will use that code at weekend, there's a 14 day free trial also so would get 6 weeks then Grin bringing me up to beginning of March.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/01/2018 09:44

Think sunny said colchester which is where my mum is from!! A lovely city from what I can remember ☺

How old are the twins now snuggly? You won't know yourself once they are off the formula and potty trained! Although am guessing childcare will have kicked in by then 😕

Spa day today, heading off in a min 😊

Loveabaconsandwich · 16/01/2018 09:55

Ok... maybe I was a bit smug about the potty training. Pair of pants have been binned as they were that bad. But her only accident in three days so 😐

Now back to reminding her more!

Loveabaconsandwich · 16/01/2018 09:56

Have a great day girlie , you deserve it

WreckTangled · 16/01/2018 11:45

Oops mammy 26th not 30th. Dh gets paid Friday though. We both have fuel and there's loads of food so we're all good. We also have money in savings (get us!!) if need be Smile

ememem84 · 16/01/2018 11:53

Injections done. Poor baby. He grinned at the doctor and held onto Doctors medical students hand and made him bleed - ds has a couple of sharp nails we haven’t managed to cut yet! Made them both feel guilty for jabbing him.

Nsd so far. Tried to order a cot matress but Mothercare don’t deliver here - despite the shop telling me they do and I just had to select international delivery. Sigh. Will have to go in to town and get them to order for me.

ememem84 · 16/01/2018 12:06

sunny I wondered whether you’d be coming here. We have two castles and a zoo....

mammymammyIRL · 16/01/2018 12:13

Woo hoo wreck all's not lost at all so!

Taytocrisps · 16/01/2018 13:45

Brrr..... it's a nasty day out there. It's bitterly cold out and currently lashing sleet.

I've been trying (and failing) to catch up over the past few days. There were a lot of posts about clutter. I keep the main living rooms clutter free but have a tendency to bag up stuff and put it in the spare bedrooms. It's mainly because the items belong to DH or DD and I don't know if they want to keep them/where they want to put them. Or we have visitors coming and I don't have time to sort the things then and there. Then it's a case of 'out of sight, out of mind' until the next time I go into that bedroom and remember I was supposed to sort it all Blush. Or we have overnight guests and I go in to do a quick tidy in advance of their visit. Must try harder!

As well as sorting out clutter, I'm trying to be a bit more organized about things generally in 2018. For example, at the start of each month I want to check what birthdays and occasions I have in the month. Instead of making three or four separate trips to the shop to buy cards, I can make one trip and buy them all at the same time. Little things like this.

What is is with men and laundry? If I had a €1 for every time I've gone to use the washing machine only to find it contains damp, stinky washing, I'd be a very wealthy woman. DH isn't a lazy person generally (the opposite in fact) so I've come to the conclusion that his brain assumes that putting dirty washing in the machine = dirty washing sorted. Whereas I see it as the first step in a process whereby step 1 is putting dirty washing in the machine, step 2 is hanging it up when it's washed and step 3 is putting it away when it's dry.

Spends today

€73 at hairdressers (cut and colour)
€4.50 top up shop
€2 (approx.) in fruit and veg shop

Enjoy your spa day Girlie

Hi, Yes it's Colchester we're going to. I'm quite looking forward to it. It's not that big a difference from the distance we went to Ipswich for dentistry, so not testing my adventurous spirit too much. LOL!

I've been to Jersey zoo and it was fabulous too. My favourite teddy bear comes from their shop.

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/01/2018 14:06

My parents' house just went on the market. Eeek!

Loveabaconsandwich · 16/01/2018 15:23

Strange times for you sunny, your parents have already moved though?

£858 on a new corner sofa. Money is from the chunk of £s PIL gifted us. This is the ‘nice’ item spend, the rest is going on the mortgage, a new driveway and then towards a new car.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/01/2018 15:38

had lovely couple of hours at the spa, its a new one at a local leisure centre and was very nice. I had a body massage which was really lovely and I feel much better for it Smile on the way out I noticed a sign saying if you had a 50 min treatment use of the spa was free so I got my gift card back Grin will have to go back now Wink

Spent £4.40 on swimming before the spa and the massage was £48, its a rare treat and given I don't drink, smoke, buy new clothes, eat take aways or go out its more than justified Wink

Need to pick up cat biscuits later as have run out, have had words with dd who I feel is a bit too generous with her cat biscuit portions!!

WreckTangled · 16/01/2018 15:47

Glad you enjoyed it girlie! It's worth doing, I can't wait for mine!

Successful nsd Wink

frazzled3ds · 16/01/2018 16:09

Hooray! Today is a NSD!! Yippee :)

ememem84 · 16/01/2018 16:16

Nsd here too. We were at my parents earlier and then SS kicked off big style. So much so mum was worried I’d crash the car on the way home (he was kicking off but ive Learned to ignore him when he does it in the car) or wouldn’t be able to cope with him. So she came home with me.

While here she’s cleaned kitchen (all the while berating me for having such a gross kitchen - some places were grim...) hoovered the living room (and dusted) and has folded laundry.

Ds is a super grouch. But I guess that’s what three injections and teething do. He coughed at the doctor too. Doctor told him it was a “really really bad cough” and have him one of those lollipop stick things to hold. It’s his fake cough. Nothing to worry about.

He’s shooting a temperature at present. But that’ll be the vaccinations. Calpol is my friend. And his. He’s currently asleep over my shoulder. Not ideal. But necessary today. At least he’s wuiet.

I’ve settled on the couch to watch Netflix.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/01/2018 16:53

The now tv code isn't working for me Sad. I've got a two week trial on my account so I'll use that.

£1.30 two daily mails, I've linked both nectar accounts to our mymail accounts. Should get 1000 points each for that because I did it via the nectar app.
55p pitta breads. It's doner kebab night. The only meal I don't mind cooking. Much.

A fake cough so young Grin

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/01/2018 17:02

Love no they're still in their house. The house here is bought but they have to sell the previous house before they can move. Much excitement.

ememem84 · 16/01/2018 17:09

Yeah fluffy it’s an “ahem ahem” type cough. He’s just learned the noise. Also the pigeon coo. His entire face is smushed info my shoulder. He’s snoring away though so I’m just sitting tight. I have to pee. But I’ve been here for an hour and if I move he’ll wake up. This is the quietest he’s been all day.

Lsd. I’ve asked dh to bring pizza and garlic bread home.

mammymammyIRL · 16/01/2018 17:29

Em I've gone to the loo with a sleeping child or feeding child attached to me #desperatetimes Grin

I'd a tidying technique like tayto one time but then that spare room became the au pairs room & other one a playroom & the remaining spare room is only guest room so needs to be available Smile

Em my dm is visiting and will not lift a finger, she might bring her plate to dishwasher if dc remind her to or guilt her into it

Girlie glad you'd a good day at spa, definitely deserved. Dh got me voucher for a spa for Christmas. Last two times I got voucher for there from him I was pregnant Smile

Wolfcub · 16/01/2018 17:53

On the way home. 6.80 for lunch and 2.80 for two coffees. No spends I can claim back. Train was horrendously delayed this morning so got to work very late and it’s looking the same going home. Apparently it’s snowing there and the roads are lethal if all our local Facebook groups are to be believed.

ememem84 · 16/01/2018 17:54

mammy I resorted to putting dsbin bouncy chair outside the bathroom and peeing wth the door open. Catface also watched.cos she doesn’t like to be left out....

Ffs. My life is glam.
