Brrr..... it's a nasty day out there. It's bitterly cold out and currently lashing sleet.
I've been trying (and failing) to catch up over the past few days. There were a lot of posts about clutter. I keep the main living rooms clutter free but have a tendency to bag up stuff and put it in the spare bedrooms. It's mainly because the items belong to DH or DD and I don't know if they want to keep them/where they want to put them. Or we have visitors coming and I don't have time to sort the things then and there. Then it's a case of 'out of sight, out of mind' until the next time I go into that bedroom and remember I was supposed to sort it all
. Or we have overnight guests and I go in to do a quick tidy in advance of their visit. Must try harder!
As well as sorting out clutter, I'm trying to be a bit more organized about things generally in 2018. For example, at the start of each month I want to check what birthdays and occasions I have in the month. Instead of making three or four separate trips to the shop to buy cards, I can make one trip and buy them all at the same time. Little things like this.
What is is with men and laundry? If I had a €1 for every time I've gone to use the washing machine only to find it contains damp, stinky washing, I'd be a very wealthy woman. DH isn't a lazy person generally (the opposite in fact) so I've come to the conclusion that his brain assumes that putting dirty washing in the machine = dirty washing sorted. Whereas I see it as the first step in a process whereby step 1 is putting dirty washing in the machine, step 2 is hanging it up when it's washed and step 3 is putting it away when it's dry.
