Pic of cutest dungarees ever 😍

Bad news and good news here. The bad - DH has been told by physio he can't run for a while :( at least, not long distances even of 5k etc. Need and others here will know how devastating that is. He's having some issues with hips and needs to sort posture. He also has some 'reasonable adjustments' to get sorted at work so we shall see how that goes, they won't like him slowing down Hmm

But the good news is, he got the extra job he was going for!!! Star It's a charity liaison thing, he will be dealing with each of three (very local, nearer than the one he works in across town) store's designated charity and helping them fundraise etc. The plan is to cut back on work in store by the equivalent hours as this job can be fitted in around other things and some of it even done from home. Yay!!!

Brilliant good news cag 🎉 Not so good with the bad news though

Loveabaconsandwich · 22/11/2017 17:24

NSD

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/11/2017 17:25

That is good news Cag.

Girlie I don't think you'll get much joy off Amazon. They just do what they like. Have you got a back fence they can throw it over?. I leave notes on my door "throw over back gate with cat flap".

One of dhs colleagues left him a bottle of champagne through the cat flap once. Now that's the kind of delivery you could get used to. Sadly never repeated.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/11/2017 17:33

That's good news cag.

Fml of to a&e in a bit as dd has hurt her finger. I feel over at work and hurt my arm but I don't need to be seen. £2.50 parkings

Cagliostro · 22/11/2017 17:47

Oh no life sorry about the injuries. Hope DD is sorted quickly

Fun filled evening for you then Life. Hopefully it will be quiet.

Laska5772 · 22/11/2017 19:04

You know ( but I'm conscious about possibly speaking too soon here ).. I have never really had problems with couriers /posties here.. We do have a shed to leave things in though..

Laska5772 · 22/11/2017 19:10

DR tells me that the huge mole they took off my back a few weeks ago is just a mole.. That's good..

DS has a job interview ( permanent job!!) all fingers xd.. Its a 'career job' with training with the team (in the council) he is working with now and they encouraged him to apply.. It would be so great if he could finally get a permanent job. He's 27 and so far its all been temporary contracts.

£105 ish in Sainsburys . That's for all meals/drinks for the weekend guests though I hope..

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 22/11/2017 19:14

Yeah I know fluffy pisses me off tho, luckily one day my neighbour kindly took a package in they had dumped on the doorstep. She also pointed out that she had been home all day.... they could easily put round the back if they wanted.

Hope you and dd are okay life

Those dungarees are amazing cag yay and nay to your dh for the good/bad news.

Laska5772 · 22/11/2017 19:16

Cagliostro · 22/11/2017 19:26

Fab news about the mole, great that you got it checked!

I love dungarees too! Dd has some really nice fat face ones and also has dungashorts for the summer.

Cagliostro · 22/11/2017 19:36

Dungashorts! That's a cute word if ever I heard one. I suppose the one I bought count as those then (I bought tights too in case it is still cold when she fits them - it's hard as I don't know how fast she will grow!). I also like a, erm, dungadress? :o

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 22/11/2017 19:39

We’ve always called them that! Yep dungadress too Grin

Laska5772 · 22/11/2017 19:41

Great news about your DH. Cag my SIL did a housing charity job as part of her job with John Lewis and loved it so much she ended up going P/T with JL and got a P/T paid job doing events for with the charity. Its opened up so much for her ,

Cagliostro · 22/11/2017 19:55

Cool laska! It's definitely something DH is interested in despite his best efforts to display himself as a grumpy people-hating git :)

But but but... why aren't the normal ones called dungatrousers :o

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 22/11/2017 20:11

Cag have googled why they are called dungarees. It’s interesting but I won’t bore you all by posting it on here Grin

SnugglySnerd · 22/11/2017 20:21

I'm off to Google that too then...

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/11/2017 21:01

Well that was a fun evening out. A&e was packed. Neither of us have breaks. Both sporting dressings/ bandage. Mine is causing much hilarity.

Good news on the mole.
Y meadow has gone again. Come back, we don't mind vomiting stories. Hope the family visit didn't finish her off

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/11/2017 21:02

Thumbs up!!Grin

LonelyOversharer · 22/11/2017 21:47

Tee hee life how long has that got to be on for? My mum chopped through the tendon between her thumb and index finger (vom) and was in plaster 'thumbs up' for 6 weeks! Take it easy.

I can't be bothered with anything just now. So much to do, and I'm sitting in my bed.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/11/2017 21:51

It looks like an uncooked pastry life, what did you do?.

Laska Best to check. You still worry though.

SunnyLikeThursday · 22/11/2017 22:46

Hello :-) I've got totally behind again. Everything is very frantic here as I am helping with house buying and running Beavers and writing a grant proposal still, and organising ds's tooth coming out under GA.

The latest fun is that I have to make up a powerpoint presentation with four slides and I have to record my voice over it to explain the whole grant proposal in 5 minutes. Oddly, it always comes out at exactly 6 minutes and on the last slide I always mispronounce a complicated latin word. It's weirdly enjoyable, as challenges go.

I hope everybody is doing well there. I hope to have time to stop for a bit soon.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/11/2017 06:14

It's better this morning so I will take it off. I wouldn't have gone at all but my arm was heavy and pins and needles in my hand.
I feel up the stairs and landed on my hand.
