Thanks wreck that sounds positive. It's done by a company called "Diagnostic World" I've seen them around at our surgery before.

Welcome back pink

Yummy dinner, turkey and veg quesadilla. Best thing is I managed to cook it with DD2 in a sling and even more amazing, managed to eat it without spilling anything on her yay!

I've just ordered a Panasonic. Didn't want to pay the extra £40 for a fruit dispenser though.

I'm going Christmas shopping on 1 Dec. Must get DC to do lists as dd mighty outweigh ds at the minute

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2017 20:29

I've only used my fruit dispenser a few times. I could live without it. I only use one program!.

northender · 21/11/2017 20:49

Happy birthday Girlie and happy anniversary Wreck, I remember your wedding too, which got me wondering how long I've been on these threads.... It must be at least 4 or 5 years. I remember Fluffy was here already but not sure about others as I'm rubbish at keeping up with name changes.
Busy work day today. No spends as I took soup in for lunch.
Life did you manage spinning?

WreckTangled · 21/11/2017 20:59

I’m not sure how long I’ve been on here either but the wedding was three years ago! Think I was here a good year before that?

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/11/2017 20:59

No I didn't go to spinning. I think I'm fighting the DC cold. Don't want to lower my immunity by doing a hard cardio

Laska5772 · 21/11/2017 21:38

4 for £10 amazon children's books another pretty good deal , Ive just bought some for DGDs it takes the discount off at the paying stage.. it was free delivery also !

LonelyOversharer · 21/11/2017 21:49

I'm ordering bits and bobs from amazon pretty much every day. Got the girls each a little piece of silver jewellery on lightening deals, and ordered dd3 some sticky lego strips (2 width base plate strips, I'm guessing silicone) - one of only soecific things she's asked for. She's nearly 10 and asked for moon sand. As if! That hideous stuff gets everywhere.

Hi pink so glad you're feeling better. I'm about to embark on a nemo hat for ds, weirdly for me I can't seem to get round to starting it.

ememem84 · 21/11/2017 22:25

pink thanks for the gloves tip. I’ve had a look...not too pricey. Well yes they are but £40 ish for guaranteed grip warmth and dry? And I won’t grow out of them?! Might add them to Christmas present list.

Did see a heated pair... but £178.

Ds is doing ok. He’s still really warm so have given him a bit more calpol and have packed him off to bed. He’s ok in himself now though. He slept from around 439 to almost 7. And has been awake since playing with dh and having a bottle. He’s settling in his bed now. I’m in bed too. The sleep sheep is doing his thing. I feel sleepy too! Haha!

MyWhatICallNameChange · 21/11/2017 23:29

Happy birthday Girlie, hope you've had a lovely day.

Fluffy, I am on a prepayment meter. I need to sort out getting it changed into my name as Ex-h dealt with all that.

Tayto, I got the Maria Kondo book (I think that's who it is) It's lost among the clutter. Blush

Today we went the cinema (free as part of a film festival) then to Pizza Hut for a friend of DS's birthday - £20 spend there. Missed my lovely Cag.

I'm a Beaver leader and we had a reptile man in today so I got to hold lots of lovely snakes, I love snakes! And I was brave and held a tarantula! Best evening ever - quiet children the whole night! Grin

Cagliostro · 22/11/2017 01:48

Ah thanks mywhat Thanks and yay to tarantula holding! Star

I'm not sure how long I've been here. I don't recall any frugaleer weddings but I must have been here by then (perhaps I don't recall as I didn't really 'know' y'all then?!) or soon after as the Caglets came out of school February 2015 and I remember agonising about the decision on here.

Oooh naughty enabler laska I can resist all your Hush hints and links as I am crap at clothes shopping, but books?! 💸💸💸 Oh well will give me something to do while Cagletini finishes feeding (she is very slow Hmm) assuming my phone battery lasts.

DH is off today, I'm glad as yesterday was a real struggle hence not going to the party. Pretty sure they will put me on meds now. 😕 Anyway DH suggested meeting him after physio for breakfast, will see how I feel first thing though. Would be nice. Would also visit mothercare after to start sale shopping/stocking up. She's already grown out of a few of her tiny baby things, she is definitely growing! :) :)

Morning all.
Went for dinner yesterday with a friend, was my treat as she told me she's having a baby, I am very excited! £22
Got some Tesco vouchers through for money off particular weeks when you spend a certain amount so planned and booked food shops for the next three weeks. Maximised on offers we needed and packed in the essentials. Even managed to pre but some stuff for Christmas. Pay on dispatch.
Been finishing up present buying and remembered there's two aunts I still need to buy for so that's a bit disheartening but managed to cross off dm and db

@mywhat Very envious of your bravery, I don't think I could hold a snake and I certainly could never hold a tarantula
@em Hope your ds is a little less warm. When dd had her first jabs I was so sad. I think it was worse for me then it was for her
@life I hope the cold lifts soon and you can get back to spinning

LonelyOversharer · 22/11/2017 09:21

((We have five snakes))

Morning all. So far spent £300 on log lap to clad the small house new shed. My poor credit card.

But sold another saddle on ebay, so promising stuff. We used to sell Sealskin cycling gloves, they are rather brilliant, but ver pricey. Most of my yarn will sell too, yay! I've decided to move £100 chunks (as it comes in from sales) from paypal straight to credit card. It will all help.

Pouring with rain here, it hasn't really stopped since sunday. Carlisle is braced as the flood warnings have gone out.

Right, back to winding yarn. I have about 30 60 cones of acrylic 4ply, so am winding big "project packs" off, to see if they sell better than the cones by themselves. I'd much rather have 30 balls of different colours than one cone of the same weight. We'll see.

Must shop today. Morrisons for my coupon. Plus a £50 spend gets you 10p off per liter of fuel this week.

ememem84 · 22/11/2017 10:22

Morning all. Ds is full of beans today!! Yay!!!! We’ve had all the smiles and sticking out tongues. Phew. Normal baby.

Today is an indoors day here I think. Have chores to do and the car is in the garage for servicing. Hopefully can pick it up later today - Dm and df will drive me there/look after ds so I don’t have to faff with car seats.

Will also get on with Christmas shopping, meal planning and shopping list.

I’m meeting the vicar of our local church next week. Just called to chat about getting ds christened. I didn’t mention to him that we don’t go to church regularly but he said as long as we know it’s there that’s ok.

Cagliostro · 22/11/2017 12:10

£52 mothercare 😳 Got some seriously lovely stuff though that would've totalled nearly £94 including a bigger coat, swimming costume etc. That Little Bird range is pricey but got a couple of reduced bits that are just sooo cute including dungarees! (I know mywhat shares my view on dungarees :o)

Loveabaconsandwich · 22/11/2017 12:16

Currently sat in my bed in my PJs, thinking about having a nap. Really shouldn’t though as keep having insomnia.

Sounds like a good plan with the ebay stuff lonely. It’ll look like small amounts, but doing that you will soon get the debt moving downwards

I need to find some Christmas cheer as I just can’t be bothered to shop. Was meaning to go out to the shops today, but quite frankly can’t be bothered. It is frugal to not want to shop though Halo

Our amazon prime year ran out on Friday. DP has cancelled to see if they do a deal like last year. So no little purchases either which is frugal too. But I do miss it Blush

ememem84 · 22/11/2017 12:28

£28 on magazine subscription for Dm for Christmas from DS.

have been looking at the black friday sales that everyone seems to be doing. have been tempted by some of the baby things but don't need it just yet. DS has enough stuff for now. we will need the basics for when he hits 3 months (on Christmas Eve) - vests long sleeve body suits etc and also some trousers etc but will grab those next time i'm in town.

am just enjoying an early lunch while he's asleep. after lunch and after he's had his bottle we're going to go and sit in "his" room - i'm going to pop him in his cot so he can wiggle about in it while i sort through his clothes.

i am meeting a friend for lunch next week and she's having a baby girl so am going to send a bag of stuff to her.

Thishatisnotmine · 22/11/2017 13:16

emem gladyour ds is feeling better, its so hard not to worry when they are poorly.

I spent just under £12 yesterday in Morrisons and got everything I needed (including a pack of my beloved dark chocolate digestivesBlush they make me so happy!). I used the calculator on my phone to ensure I didn't spend more than the £15 I had. £1.60 today on a bottle of milk and carton of milkshake for dd from the Co-Op.

I also made meatballs which are now in the freezer, the mince layer for a cottage pie with lots of veg and lentils in it and a chilli with kidney and loads of black beans. I feel so accomplished!

SnugglySnerd · 22/11/2017 13:30

Cag I adore babies and toddlers in dungarees. Cutest thing ever! DD2 has hers on today.

NSD. Very windy so staying in unless we have a nap failure in which case we'll have to go out so they sleep.

DD1 is making cakes with granny. I'm hoping it takes a while so I can have a rest!

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/11/2017 13:59

£10 Tesco. 5ltr sunflower oil, 2kg sugar, 2 organic soya milk, vitalite.
£8 Aldi oven chips, 42 slices of ham, white bread, Mayo.

3 week shopping ordered, £70 but not coming out of my account till Friday. I had £30 of vouchers.

Hat That's how it makes me feel.

love We've got a free month prime from when I ordered some cat food. I bet they do an offer because grand tour starts again soon.

Laska5772 · 22/11/2017 15:09

£20 haircut.
We have weekend visitors so need to go to sainsburys later for food.
I have also upgraded my kindle as amazon had the paperwhite on offer 25% off (mine was pretty much the oldest model and although still working ive wanted one with the backlight for ages now) . But with case it still came to just under 120 .. im still trying to justify this to myself actually

Laska5772 · 22/11/2017 15:11

I think ill send the Boden jumper back .. dont really need it

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/11/2017 15:16

There's a rumoured 25% off at sainsburys clothes on Friday.

LonelyOversharer · 22/11/2017 16:15

Oh I hope so fluffy need pjs for all but ds, and want to get my big girls some jumpers and jeans.

Morrisons was £87. But, a side of salmon for £12, two 750g mince and a chicken, turkey leg (such good value for £4.60) plus all veg/cereals/basics. I'm aiming not to top up until December, bar milk, and cat food (not on offer).

Got my fuel coupon. Filled the big car. £73. Got £6.60 off it. My poor credit card.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 22/11/2017 16:28

I love seeing babies and toddlers in dungarees, dd always had a pair up till about age 5yo!

Had a nice day, worked extra today which will be nice bit more money on pay day. Its been dark and stormy here all day, think will batten down the hatches, light a few smelly candles and stick a film on tonight!!

Spent
£1 on a drink
£54 on dds main birthday present, its a massive lego set that I think she will really like and was reduced on Amazon Prime to £54 from £84 so a good deal. I don't have AP so got a friend to order it for me! Have taken money from my savings to pay for it and will hopefully pay myself back next month!

Have also just sent Amazon a snotty email as they have twice now left packages on my front doorstep, its pure luck nothing has been nicked Hmm
