Hope you are feeling better today wreck
Tayto that's so annoying about top, all yellow flowers sounds a bit unusual too, did they mix it up with an order for all yellow maybe Hmm

Our chucks are still laying they get half layers pellets & half rolled oats, I never see them these days because they're still indoors when I put out their food at 6am & are gone to bed when I collect the odd evening Sad

Sunny you poor ds, do you do Santa presents or was he aware presents came from you?

I've filled my spreadsheet with gifts but not prices yet, dd has rather a lot because I forgot three things I'd bought during the year for her. Grin

that sounds like you're settled into being a frugaleer quite well

SnugglySnerd · 01/12/2017 06:48

Oops Tayto. I'd be fuming if I did that. So annoying.

Should be NSD providing I have some stamps to send a couple of birthday cards. Did more Xmas shopping online last night.

WreckTangled · 01/12/2017 07:09

Yes thanks Smile it's just this cold giving me a constant headache.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2017 07:16

My DC are currently outside in the snow. Thankfully all but 1 of our neighbors are fab and love watching them.
Hope the sleep helped wreck.
Thishat December and January sound tight but your will get there as you have the right frame of mind.

Christmas shopping today. Spendmcspend.

WreckTangled · 01/12/2017 07:17

It didn't life! At least I don't have work today and only need to pop to M&S for food for our picnic tomorrow.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2017 07:21

Take it easy then wreck today. Lots of self care.

SunnyLikeThursday · 01/12/2017 07:45

Mammy It's okay he's never been one for strange men in red suits coming down the chimney. He knows they come from me. Smile

needastrongone · 01/12/2017 08:34

Hat, it's great that you are taking financial planning so seriously. Keeps you in control.

Interesting morning at the farm at 6 am nearly sliding into the iron gate on black ice, my car stopped literally 2 cm from the thing and me shouting 'shit, shit, shit, shit' as it slid closer. Grin

Off to drop the dogs at the groomers, grab petrol, shop, then do a run. Running club Christmas do tonight, could get messy!

needastrongone · 01/12/2017 08:35

The pony rolled about in the snow for about 5 minutes this morning, I'd post the video but would out me, it was so funny!

WreckTangled · 01/12/2017 09:45

Oh I hate black ice! We've had the odd flake of snow but it's back to being sunny. The wind is so cold poor ds has forest school this morning!

£25 M&S on picnic food for our trip tomorrow (it's our Christmas trip so don't mind spending) also included fabric softener
£7 something in Greggs on a sausage roll for me and three sausage baps which I took to dh and his work mates as they're working outside. Got me some major wife points Grin

LonelyOversharer · 01/12/2017 10:18

We have the lightest dusting of snow! But only because we're in the hills. Ds was quite dissapointed it hadn't snowed at school. He got a certificate this morning, very proud.

I'm at home. Washing machine and dishwasher on. I'm going to fill a bin bag downstairs next, then see about the rest of the washing up. I have 4 clear hours. Must get on...

LonelyOversharer · 01/12/2017 10:22

need eek! Lucky escape. Ice is awful. Silly pony! My ddogs are full of beans too. If my amazon parcel comes soon, I'll take them for a (rare these days) daylight run. They'll be beside themselves. We're used to plodging in the dark atm.

Dd1 and I had a lovely half hour last night, looking at pics on pintrest. If any of you need a bit of light relief, put "dog shaming" into the pintrest search. Very funny.

WreckTangled · 01/12/2017 10:30

I'm having a proper blitz of the house today. Starting with the kitchen.

ememem84 · 01/12/2017 11:23

no snow here.

Washing machine on. Ds fed. Mummy has had s cup of green tea because we ran out of milk. I blame dh and his desire for steamed pork buns yesterday. THey use a lot of milk.

So £1.39 will be spent on a litre of milk.

Ds and I are going out to lunch with Dm and df. I also have to take the bins out - I left a bag of rubbish by the front door thinking dh would take it on his way out. It was right in the way of the door. He moved he bag but didn’t take it out. Ffs. So now I have to wrestle two bin bags Ds and his car seat a changing bag and my bag out the door in a bit. Sigh.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2017 12:25

Spent a fortune. Most of the way through my list now. Most disappointing m&s sandwich. Turkey, bacon cranberry and bloody stuffing. Bleurgh stuffing. Should have known though.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2017 12:26

The retail park is chokka too

Life, good that you're working through your Christmas list. Nice to get shopping done in the week as well.

Went to the German Market in town today. Had to withdraw £40 as dh walked away from the cashpoint looking very worried. After thinking "dear lord do we noy have any money left" turns out that he had forgotten his wallet. Bought us all food, doughnuts and a new hat for dd2. She does have a hat but am feeling guilty about all her hand me downs and second hand stuff.

needastrongone · 01/12/2017 16:27

Having hand me downs and second hand means you are doing your bit for the environment hat, 'tis all Smile

Spends today
£60 Dog groomers.
£126 Sainsbury's (presents invluded there though and some booze for DS, DH and Dsil, who is coming over tonight).
£72 fuel, I was running on fumes.

WreckTangled · 01/12/2017 16:45

School fair tonight. I'm giving the dc £5 each. Have done loads today even got all the bedding washed, dried and put back on.

Dd got her extra spellings today I tested her on them before she practised and she got them all right. They don't seem very hard to me though.

Thishatisnotmine · 01/12/2017 16:58

need it has been really nice getting to look at all the lovely clothes I had packed away and use them again. And so convenient! Forvsome reason my dm keeps commenting on it but it would be ridiculous not to reuse everything. And I remember my brother wearing things of mine as a baby!

No snow here either.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2017 17:16

This I think it's v sensible to use hand me downs and is certainly nothing to be ashamed of. I did it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2017 17:17

Spendy day. Most of list done then my family renage on no presents, 6 more to buy and most of them want vouchers. Ffs

WreckTangled · 01/12/2017 17:31

My friends and I all do hand me downs for clothes etc

MissingMo · 01/12/2017 17:54

Dd lives in hand me downs, between sil and a good friend of dp I don't think I've bought more than five things myself. That's including all the presents she got as well
