Pink

No, you've been perfectly normal.

Do you need to see your GP?.

Pinkpeppermintteaforme · 29/10/2017 19:47

It just came on over the day.
I dreamt my Mum died last night -so real I feel really shaken.
Its a really bad time of year for me (accident/horrible event ) but its never been this bad so quickly.
DS is here now .I dont take any meds .
Thanks you are so kind , am going to try and do some of my old tricks to calm down

ememem84 · 29/10/2017 19:51

meadow I’d tell your manager if I were you. Sorry you’re having a rough time with sickness. Feel better soon xx

pink as far as I’m aware you haven’t upset anyone here. Please continue to post if it helps you. We don’t know each other but feel as though we do. And apparently there’s always someone here awake damm babies and sleepless nights take care of yourself lovely xx

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/10/2017 19:56

It's the thread that never sleeps. Due to all the babies knowing they can't be sacked Wink

Even I was up at 5:30 & I have no kids. I should be having lie ins all over the place Angry

needastrongone · 29/10/2017 20:05

pink, no no no you haven't said anything at all wrong. We just witter on sometimes. Loads on here understand. Stick with us. Please do.

Oh meadow, you poor poor thing, maybe do tell work now you think? Are you hydrated enough love?

Weirdly, I've an email for the race saying I won my age group too, so another cheque for £15 on its way. I can't figure out how they've worked the prizes but hey ho.

WreckTangled · 29/10/2017 20:06

Woo hoo need! What you you going to treat yourself to? Make sure you actually get something and don’t end up spending it on food/petrol/other mundane stuff.

pink Flowers do something that is calming. You knit? Drag something out and do a few rows. Stick something distracting on the telly. We're all here x

My ds is behaving really badly. He's currently howling. Sigh. Off I go to sort him out...

Loveabaconsandwich · 29/10/2017 20:31

FlowersBrew pink hope you feel better and have someone to look after you in real life

girlie sounds like you made the right decision, but obviously a tough one Sad

Hope the sickness passes soon meadow it sounds so awful at the moment

Well done need

And sending good sleep vibes to all the sleep deprived frugaleers

Not much to say today. But my new fridge/freezer arrived and it’s huge! Operation tidy our house continues

Although I worked Thursday and had my normal three days off, as DP was home too it feels like the end of a holiday. And now getting the back to work blues...

ememem84 · 29/10/2017 20:54

pink blue planet. Blue planet is soothing.

SnugglySnerd · 29/10/2017 21:16

It's so soothing I fell asleep and missed half of it!

Flowers for Pink and Meadow. Hope you both feel better soon.

Cagliostro · 29/10/2017 21:21

How are you feeling now pink?

I dozed through BP2 as well. With baby on me. All five of us on the sofa. Happiness that is ❤️

ememem84 · 29/10/2017 21:43

I watch Attenborough shows and honestly believe he makes things up. He knows he is trusted by the nation. So makes shit up.

SPOILER ALERT - fish which eat birds, flying sting rays, fish which use tools, gender fluid fish.

Also. Sea otters. And walrus babies. Cuuuuttttteeeeeeeeee.

Ds is sleeping. In his basket. Hoorah he has not settled all day. Unless on either dh or I. And when we’ve tried to put him down he’s screamed.

He has been in the basket for an hour. Asleep for almost 2. I am hoping that he is so tired he sleeps for ages. Fingers crossed.

Pinkpeppermintteaforme · 29/10/2017 21:53

Im in bed now.
Watched Blue Planet with DS next to me and knitted a bit of my hat Smile
Should have seen this coming but I didnt .
I have GP appointment this week for something else so can use that if I need to.
Stupid brain - if all else fails I will just walk and walk as it usually helps.

ChristmasSeacow · 29/10/2017 22:16

Pink you didn't say anything remotely wrong. So sorry you are feeling so anxious.

Busy afternoon and terrible evening with DD, I am not optimistic about tonight! Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll try to respond tomorrow. Really must go to bed now...

LonelyOversharer · 29/10/2017 22:20

Just keep going pink our brains are odd and peculiar things. They pull all sorts of crap just cos they feel like it. Keep knitting. It helps me so much, keeps my brain at bay (looks at masses of unfinished projects).

Dd1 just produced the DofE forms due back a week ago. I have filled in 8 pages. Gah. And I should have made a payment too. (£220 in all). She's so ditsy, but I love her.

em he is such a beautiful baby! I hope he sleeps well tonight for you.

My ds calmed down after quite a bit of loud screaming. He needs the routine of school I think. Or just a fixed routine. After a week off he's had a screamy thing for the last 3 nights. But, I trimmed his hair round his ears (he refused point blank a proper haircut) and had a decent bath and hair wash. Small victories.

We must not forget to go to school tomorrow.

AdoraBell · 29/10/2017 22:23

NSD

Cagliostro · 29/10/2017 23:02

Ohhhh em 😍😍 such a cutie. What a fab head of hair too!

Keep going pink Thanks

Got to get up and out the house early tomorrow. With a newborn. And two other kids. Yikes. Buggy is built and change bag packed though. Need to buy a tiny hat (everything we have is too big) and possibly some sleepsuits in small baby size, have plenty of vests that fit well but most of the sleepsuits are swamping her tiny limbs! 💖 She's just so diddy. Just realised she is now 100 hours old. That's crazy!!!

Also need to go to Boots, and maybe look for a feeding pillow. She's slipping off regular cushions at the mo.

ememem84 · 30/10/2017 01:18

Happy Monday y’all. I went to bed just after my last post. Ds was asleep.

I heard him stirring about 30 mind aho have changed a nappy and we’re now feeding. He is quite the snotbags. Sad face. I think annoyingly we’re going to give reflexology a miss. I’m going to have to email and see if I can get on another course. If not it’s £40 I’ll need to try and get back although may lose it as I’m cancellation is 5 days before.

Sigh.

SunnyLikeThursday · 30/10/2017 04:03

Just here sending the sleep vibes again. I hope everyone is Zzzzz-ing peacefully.

WreckTangled · 30/10/2017 06:01

Eugh back to school and work. Dc up at 5:30. Today will be £24 for ds’ swimming lesson but that’s it.

Had to scrape ice off my car this morning, urgh, but on the plus side the street lights were on Smile

LillyLollyLandy · 30/10/2017 06:41

Morning all.

Pink and Meadow - thinking of you both and hope you feel better soon. Be kind to yourselves today.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. I fell off the thread at the weekend and so have lost track completely!

Need excellent running skills! I really need to get back into it, keep on running, you’re inspirational.

Girlie as a dog owner myself I think you’ve done the right thing. You need to look after you too.

Cag I thought BFing for the 3rd time would be a piece of cake too. Boy did I get a surprise when it wasn’t!!! My nipple was also far too big for DD2 at first so I ended up kind of squeezing it a bit so that it was more pointy and she could latch on that way. Hopefully that makes sense...

What a handsome boy Em. Hope his sniffles go soon. Has your DH recovered yet? I think the first few weeks post baby are the hardest for any couple. Even with our 3rd, DH and I have had some mega rows. We’ve now come to a sort of truce about how we divvy up childcare responsibilities and “me” time at weekends. I get up on Saturday morning and let him lie in, then he gets up and we all go out for brekkie etc. He goes to gym and I have the 3 kids, then he gets back and we swap. Sunday’s we do more of a 50:50 split in that I get lie in and then take the kids for the morning, then he takes them in the afternoon. Works ok so far...

I was lulled into a false sense of security last night when all 3 kids were fast asleep by 6.30pm. That has NEVER happened before. DD1 and DS have slept soundly all night. DD2 meanwhile...I’ve been awake since 2am...am on train to work and struggling to stay awake. Bloody teething!!! And my nipple is red raw from her comfort feeding. Yowch. Poor me.

I did however manage to fill a flask with tea and put together a fruit/yoghurt/granola mix and an afternoon snack so have at least saved myself about £6 today so far! Frugal start to the week!

Happy Monday everyone!

LillyLollyLandy · 30/10/2017 06:42

Also sunny I was meaning to ask - what’s the 2% credit card surcharge? I’ve never had this on PayPal and I can’t see anything about it in the T&C on my account Confused is there something I’m missing?

Loveabaconsandwich · 30/10/2017 06:44

Hope things are looking better this morning pink?

Happy Monday too lilly. Just enjoyed my frugal travel mug of tea on the train Halo

WreckTangled · 30/10/2017 06:45

Eugh just noticed how round I’m looking in the middle. Must lose some weight.

Pink I hope you’re feeling better this morning, things are always worse in the evening.
