WOohoo!!! Yay!!! Congratulations cag beautiful Rowan. Xxxxxx sending much love xxx

I’ve just been up with ds (changed ds burped - he did the loudest most hilarious burp for a small person I’ve ever heard!!) and he’s now back in his basket. Almost asleep. Almost. He’s fighting it and has escaped from his swaddle must learn to do this properly so baby doesn’t escape

mammymammyIRL · 26/10/2017 04:07

Ah beautiful, congratulations. XXX

Loveabaconsandwich · 26/10/2017 06:36

Congratulations cag and cagfamily. Beautiful name for a gorgeous girl! So glad she is finally here 💕

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2017 06:51

I'm so glad you're both ok Cag, Rowan is a beautiful little girl 💗

Frazz I was looking on a home brew forum & it said most newbie problems were lack of hygiene based. I suppose they just want to get it all going & don't sanitise for long enough.

SunnyLikeThursday · 26/10/2017 06:59

Great news Cag! Welcome back, and well done. Are you okay too?

WreckTangled · 26/10/2017 07:00

Yay cag!! Congratulations! I feel bad I still haven’t sent the snow suit but my friend has it and I won’t see her until Sunday Hmm hope you’re getting some sleep Rowan is gorgeous and a perfect size Smile

I think we’re going pumpkin picking today. Will take £20, the have fair ground rides too.

Another £5 claimed in nectar points. I got £5 in Amazon vouchers yesterday.

Christmas food shop now £126
Dhs nectar £24. Using that one for January food.

WreckTangled · 26/10/2017 07:52

Yesterday I also spent:

£15 Christmas presents for my dad
£10 for my mum

I think I’m just not going to buy for grandparents etc. As my sister said, they’re Tory and brexit Blush voters so it’s their fault I’m so poor Grin

So that just leaves:

Sister and bil
Sister and her boyfriend
Brother
Niece
Step dad
Dc stocking bits and dd main present

I think that’s it. That’s much more manageable!

OP posts:
Loveabaconsandwich · 26/10/2017 08:01

Oh on that basis I don’t need to buy my parents Christmas presents either wreck . Everyone else still gets one

Typically, on the one day I get up at 6.30 to go to work, everyone else sleeps in Envy

I had a lot of heavy change in my purse this morning, so lightened my bag by buying a pastry

Taytocrisps · 26/10/2017 08:30

Congratulations Cag and a warm welcome to our littlest frugaleer Rowan. She's beautiful and so perfect!

I took today off work because I thought we had parent teacher meetings which are usually daytime. Turns out it's a meeting for 1st year parents and it's in the evening. I didn't bother cancelling the day off because I have visitors coming this weekend and I've a million last minute things to do.

WreckTangled · 26/10/2017 08:36

Love maybe we could all save ourselves some money this year by not giving gifts to Tory voters?! Grin

Congratulations Cag she is beautiful, you are so lucky - 3 beautiful children. Hope you are o.kay and not to battered.

'D'dog pee'd inside again last night Angry so a bit cross about that one as I spent ages trying to get her to wee outside last night before bed. Hmm just as well she is cute, think we may have decided on Penelope/Penny as a name....

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/10/2017 08:39

Wreck that is a brilliant idea and also Brexit voters Wink (hmm maybe thats the real reason I'm not buying for my brother and sil Wink Wink )

needastrongone · 26/10/2017 08:42

Ah Cag, wonderful news. What a fabulous name, so lovely. You take care of yourself and your family first and foremost.

We've not bought adult presents apart from for parent for years and that includes nephews and nieces over the age of 18. When I first met DH, all his siblings DCs were under, and there's loads of them! Birthdays and Christmas cost a fortune. It's way more manageable now, financially and logistically. Do it if you can.

needastrongone · 26/10/2017 08:43

girlie, it's probably stress, give it time. It might take a while chuck x

WreckTangled · 26/10/2017 08:45

Need I do think it’s best but because my grandparents etc are so generous to us and would never stop even if I asked I do feel bad.* With my siblings I only buy for the ones without heir own dc as they obviously buy for my dc and I think it’s only fair. I saw a good idea on another thread actually about getting the dc’s drawing put onto a tea towel.*

CollieBobs · 26/10/2017 08:47

cag congratulations! She is gorgeous and a beautiful name. How are you doing? XxX

girlie In wonder if GirlieDog would benefit from puppy training pads at night whilst she settles in? They are like massive absorbing mats that you pop on the floor. Has she done it in the same spot both times or is it different places? I know nothing about dogs though! Blush

LSD day today. Hopefully catching bus or train so somewhere nice as my anxiety has gone a bit bananas again! I don't want to be at home

needastrongone · 26/10/2017 08:51

Makes sense wrecked and understand if no DC are involved. The DC's primary school did the tea towel thing once, I found them the other day and they really made me smileSmile

I was going to suggest paddy pads and not to show ANY sign of irritation at all. There's also a FB site called Dog Training Advice and Support which is brilliant, I'll try to link.

First load of washing is on and I need to get moving with packing etc. The Tesco order for the cottage is taking shape. We're taking bolognese with us to have on Saturday night when we arrive. My friend is coming over for the evening & bringing a pud. The bolognese is already in the freezer, the tesco order includes alcohol and lots of breakfast goodies so we're sorted up to Sunday lunch which we plan to eat out so we should actually be okay until we can raid the local butchers on Monday morning! We're hoping to eat in most nights but I'm planning meals that are simple to put together. I'm ordering sandwich supplies and soups for lunches, but I'm sure pasties will be popular too. Sorry for the boring chat but it helps, a bit like talking to yourself!! Just hoping for a quiet week away & to keep spending down as much as we can.
Ds is off school again. He went back yesterday, but shouldn't have done really. His temp is just as high as at the start of the week, poor thing, he's never usually ill.
Have a good day everyone.
