Fluffy did you indulge in The Ordinary stuff then? It's hardcore but I've a pigmentation mark on my cheek that might benefit. Get the SP50 on! What do you reckon so far?

Cagliostro · 04/10/2017 18:45

I reckon there's a balance to be had really isn't there. It's certainly made me realise how carbs are everywhere!

Re BFing I am lucky this time round that it's pretty much bog standard to BF long term in my friend group now. DD was mix fed from birth till 8 months, DS BF until 2nd birthday. Planning on letting this one self wean.

I'm not planning on seeking out baby groups BUT that is basically because there won't be time - we are out and about pretty much every day doing HE stuff where we have lots of friends (with babies and kids of all ages). I'll be doing baby rhyme time at the library though as my former colleagues are demanding I take baby in :o

£20 breakfast this morning, £5 bus.

Mackerel for dinner yay!

Quiet day tomorrow as both trampolining and Badgers (st John ambulance) are cancelled tomorrow. Nice excuse for a quieter day but still quite nervous about climbing club in the middle of the day because the woman whose DD was bullying mine - and who I realised was a bully herself too - will be there (at a different club but still there IYSWIM) - haven't been anywhere near her in months and I have no idea if she will talk to me or anything. You may also remember me saying someone had turned really nasty about the pregnancy - can't remember if I ever mentioned that it's one and the same person. And she hasn't seen me with big bump etc. I am just hoping she storms right past TBH.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/10/2017 18:51

Christmas £40 on bulbs must have got you a ton of bulbs?! I have been picking up 20 bulbs for £3 in Morrisons.....

I did wonder if missing the night feeds might mess with the day supply, I know when I was in hospital and dd was in SCBU the midwives still woke me up 2 or 3 times a night to express for dd Shock I was so knackered but its the night feeds that sort the supply for the day. Mother nature is so annoying Wink Fortunately its not forever.

Dd is back from her school residential, she had a fab time and I can't believe how much they fitted into a couple of days. She is hanging now though Grin film and bed for her.

I am trying to think what I got dd for her 10th bday and do you know I've forgotten Blush she is only 11yo now!! It might have been one of those scooters that you can stand on and wiggle to get it moving, otherwise I think Smiggle stuff, stationary/ craft stuff, lego, books etc

NSD.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/10/2017 18:58

I ordered the alpha lipoid acid. I was looking for something not to silicone-y.

I wear SPF 50 every day anyway.

Not tried it yet.

Cagliostro · 04/10/2017 18:59

Ohhh yes. Presents for 10yo.

DD is 10 but a young 10 IYSWIM so possibly not much help. She will be getting clothes and Jojo bows, maybe smiggle stuff, bit of Lego, she has mentioned hexbugs and is asking for playmobil roman ship but I'm not sure yet another playmobil set can fit in the house! She would really like 'her own screen' but I've said no as she's getting her first phone for her birthday six months later. I am pondering a family DS console or something. Oh also she will be getting Phoenix Comic books (corpse talk etc) as she adores them. And I have got her a cuddly pikachu :)

Pinkpeppermintteaforme · 04/10/2017 19:11

NSD today
Free flu jabGrin
I BF until all mine were well over 2 and anyone who mentioned it got the death stare and silence.
MYOB !
Really felt the support from my NCT group helped and as Cagliostro said itcwas the same in.my friends group to EBF .
Wierd my Aldi had run out of Washing up liquid as well.
Is there a national shortage Grin
The aloe vera one is lovely and I sometimes wash my hands with it at work instead of the skin stripping horrible soap as its so moisturising Blush

MeadowHay · 04/10/2017 19:19

Hi all, hope you are all.

I had the day off today, my sister had a 'graduation' from her apprenticeship in a nearby city and got me a ticket too so stayed at my parents' last night and we all drove up this morning at silly o'clock. Soooo tired, don't feel like I've had a day off at all!! Sigh.

I got an email about a job interview today! It was one that I applied for months ago :'). Have decided I may as well go as the pay is far better than my current job but I'm not sure if I will get it anyway and even if I do I'm not sure I would move already. I am going to have to book half a day's annual leave for that too though which is annoying especially as the building is opposite where I work now Blush but I haven't been there long and I've already been a bit flexi with my time for a GP appt and got dentist next week too so don't want to fake another healthcare appt in case it raises eyebrows or makes people worry.

Today was NSD though and tomorrow should be as well as I have a mozzarella salad I bought on the weekend to take for lunch tomorrow with other bits and bobs. The week has been going fast mind and I'm in training most of tomorrow.

Have I mentioned I've signed up to Birchbox? Anyone else get it or any similar beauty box thing?

Girlie Being woken up multiple times to express sounds awful I'm not gonna lie! Shock You mammas are hard! Grin

Need Cag I love carbs. Grin

WreckTangled · 04/10/2017 19:25

I had to do that too girlie it's really not fun! I used to go down to the where ds was and sit and express so I didn't wake the other ladies in the room up (there was four of us) pretty soul destroying at 2/3am in the morning!

Good luck with the interview meadow!

I'm so spotty right now for no reason Angry

LonelyOversharer · 04/10/2017 19:35

You didn't cag but I'm so not surprised. DO NOT let this stupid horrid woman make you feel bad if you see her (I'd look right through her and carry on if I saw her). Chin up, bump out!

Cagliostro · 04/10/2017 19:42

Ha, I love that! I shall ensure I do that thank you Thanks

Luckily we have friends with us who all know what she's like - pretty much everyone does TBH except her loyal twitter fans

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/10/2017 19:43

Pink Cool. I feel fine after my jab. Bit tired in the evening but who isn't.

Meadow I worked with a woman who moved jobs a lot, always upgraded each time and really well.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/10/2017 20:03

I remember you saying she reacted badly to the pregnancy. Fuck her is what I say. YY to bump out, shoulders back, head high.

Good luck meadow on the interview. No point saying medical as someone is bound to spot you if you do. Tis law of sod.

I'm giving her the cash. I've got some playmobil to wrap up but I had a chat with her and she is ok with the money for her purse. I promised her a trip to the metro center or Newcastle later in the month of she wants it.

Christmas is a whole other nightmare.

thewaitresses · 04/10/2017 20:22

The rainbow salad was amazing! Good old JO 🌈 I had to tweak it slightly to achieve a NSD so used sunflower rather than olive oil.

In other frugal news my washing dried outside all day and I'm managing to get two wears out of the babies clothes these days!

100yearsdotcom · 04/10/2017 20:28

Thanks lonely and sunny, DD is 6.5 months and weaning now but I'm happy to keep feeding as long as she wants to. It's good to hear others experience cos like mammy says everyone likes to poke their nose in!

em don't worry too much, newborns have different needs every other hour and like you say he may have had a growth spurt or just needed to regulate your milk or just wanted more boob snuggles! I was told loads of stuff I shouldn't do then did it all as it helped and as long as I fed on demand, either expressed or direct, things worked out just fine.

WreckTangled · 04/10/2017 20:31

I just booked my flu jab at boots. If my surgery aren't going to be accessible enough then they can shove it and I'll go elsewhere. It's still free Grin plus I can pick up a Christmas catalogue to peruse whilst I'm there.

100yearsdotcom · 04/10/2017 20:35

cag you are made of awesome, she smells. End of.

Loveabaconsandwich · 04/10/2017 21:04

Struggling to keep up at the moment.

My reduction from working three days to two was/is looking like it will be agreed from January, and got told this about 10am by my boss. Conversation with him at 2pm then suggested with other people’s maternity leave and potential backfill going on in the new year, I could be asked to do more again . I await my paperwork to see how things get worded Hmm

Just a really bizarre day in general with various goings on and lots of HmmConfused. I wonder sometimes if I live on a different planet to other people Grin

£4.20 lunch

Flowers cag hopefully you just won’t see the toxic woman/daughter

needastrongone · 04/10/2017 21:43

What's this flu jab thing?

Hope the 2 days reduction goes well Love and you actually get what you asked for.

Meadow I do Birchbox and I meant to reply last time you asked. I really like it, it stops me spending strangely as it feels like a treat when it arrives but it's a tenner a month. Sometimes you get stuff that you won't use but then you get something that you really love but wouldn't have thought of buying at full size. I'm using an Origins serum at present that is wonderful and I would buy full size but didn't even know about! Not going to lie, you occasionally get the odd crap item Grin

needastrongone · 04/10/2017 21:48

waitress, cheers for the approval of the rainbow salad, the Balinese Chicken curry was absolutely wonderful, definitely a keeper in my recipe rep,

needastrongone · 04/10/2017 21:49

Life I even asked DD what she liked when she was 10 and she couldn't remember!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/10/2017 22:02

Love I have had a few days like that recently!! People are strange.

100yearsdotcom · 04/10/2017 23:23

Hope it works out for you love

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/10/2017 05:55

Thanks need. I can't remember either.
How you get the hours you want love
100 feed your baby how your like for as long as your like.

Loveabaconsandwich · 05/10/2017 06:33

People are very strange girlie !

Thanks for the good wishes need and 100 .

£4.70 parking. Where i’ve been parking for free is now dark and horrible to park in the pitch black at 6.15. So doing more later starts and may have to pay to park when going early Sad

Loveabaconsandwich · 05/10/2017 06:34
