Christmas that card of your ds's sounds wonderful. Have you seen the children's book "Billy's Bucket"? He might like it. It's about a little boy who only wants a bucket for his birthday and then when he gets it he can see an ocean of fish living in it and it is a wonderful adventure. Maybe it would give you something chat with your ds about if he is thinking buckets just now.

I just blitzed the whole kitchen and hall and dining room and am sitting by the french windows in glorious sunshine. I saw the dawn was just after I got up at 6.30am this morning too. Good!

Feel for you snuggly was doing the same - but with my bed! "Just a little wee" according to ds, who came in at 0430. Yes we have a plastic sheet on our bed (my new matress is not getting ruined), but a nice one that doesn't make crinkly noises when you move. I took him out of night time pull ups a few months ago, and this is our third accident (he is 4 though Confused ). I left him so long as I'm lazy and hate changing sheets in the middle of the night.

Aldi calling this morning and wherever the dc's vitamins are on offer. More coffee first.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/02/2017 09:26

Snuggly. I read that as your going to get your Dh "done".

Well done to your ds sea.

£106 cashback came through, I was only logging on to ask where my CB was.

northender · 14/02/2017 09:38

snuggly and knitting, I feel your pain with those wake up calls but am thankful we are past that now!
wreck glad you're going to go with the HR advice.
ipso I'm with need, go with the flow in the holidays, don't overthink it. Recharge the batteries as best you can.
Adora hope the plumber gets things sorted within a reasonable budget.

Half term this week for us. Miserable weather in Devon at the moment. It's supposed to get better around lunchtime so planned activities are on hold. Forecast looks okay for drive back tonight.

Ipsomatic · 14/02/2017 09:42

Fluffy How is your dh getting on?

mammymammyIRL · 14/02/2017 11:23

Aldi email just came through
The tea towels I like are available from Thurs 5pk for €5.99, I will get two.

Beeneatingburnttoast · 14/02/2017 11:56

Half term here. Done a day at work this week so now on holiday too! Most of my colleagues half term is next week as I live in a different county. Woke up with a stinking cold though Sad

Made myself get up and go out shopping with older DD

£34 on school shoes
£40 in tkmaxx on trainers for DD, toddler sleeping bag and reduced PJs

Spendy day already.

DP went food shopping so frugal shopping went out the window so lots of treats Grin

I got two boxes of Maltesers for Valentine's Day. My favourites Star May go and be poorly in bed later accompanied by the maltesers

Tryingtosaveup · 14/02/2017 12:15

Happy Valentines Day, frugaleers.
DP and I have been cutting wood for the fire. I won't buy logs (too mean) so use the wood the builders rip out or from frees that have had to come out of the garden. Lots of people in my village give me their off cuts. Reckon I have enough to see me through next winter.
DP taking me out for lunch ( when I can drag him away from Facebook)
Beautiful day here although very frosty this morning.

ememem84 · 14/02/2017 12:54

£3.55 on a sandwich. Which probably is extortionate. However. Look at it!!! Mexican chicken onions cucumber tomato lettuce white bread. So tasty. And I managed to fit it in my mouth #bigmouth

mammymammyIRL · 14/02/2017 14:28

EM was it not le yum Grin
trying you're dead right

mammymammyIRL · 14/02/2017 14:31

I'd chicken curry for second day running at work. Yesterday with cous cous, today with rice. I made it Friday I think, and after cooking the meat & veg off discovered my tub of curry sauce powder was almost empty. Made up a blend of turmeric/cumin/madras curry powder/garlic and then added some pepper sauce powder and boiling water to the mix, it was amazing le yum

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/02/2017 14:37

ipsos I think he's ok, dr not worried and I will sue them if their wrong Smile

£4.30, cat food, coffee beans & aldi knock off frazzles. Dh knocked the grinder over, coffee beans everywhere and I'm too lazy to get the dustpan out so I vacuumed them up and now the vacuum smells of coffee every time you use it.

Trying You do so well with your wood pile, deep freeze and home grown veg. You just need some rescue hens for eggs.

Cagliostro · 14/02/2017 15:42

Awww Seacow that's so cute of your DS. I love the random stuff kids decide to write! DS was always a reluctant writer - still is TBH, he finds it a lot harder than DD ever did - but I particularly remember a journey home last year where he suddenly got an irresistible need to write - a list of all the rubbish he'd seen on the way home that should have been in a bin. Confused Grin Quirky little dude. :o

Had a nice day so far, DH left his cards at work yesterday so got to the till at Tesco after and realised he couldn't do our top up shop. So nowt in for breakfast. I suggested a Valentine's breakfast date so we got up early and went to Harvester - turns out their unlimited cooked breakfast is back, so DH certainly made the most of it. :o Under £20 for the four of us, although it was nearly more - I saw DH giving both £20s, and knew it shouldn't have been that much, so I checked and they'd accidentally added an extra all-in breakfast at £7.50! Glad I checked, as DH was happily paying. Went to Morrison's after, got a few bits for the next couple of days including their dine in deal which seems a bargain at £15 for 5 lovely items - will do us a couple of different meals.

Just been doing home ed stuff this afternoon then back out for tap later. Must be more organised this time and NOT be so late we need a cab!

Ipsomatic · 14/02/2017 15:43

That's great fluffy. I love your phrase "Doctor not worried". It's always weird when GPs look sanguine about things that might not feel that great to the patient. Good news to hear that things seem okay though.

OP posts:
SnugglySnerd · 14/02/2017 16:07

Fluffy he may well be getting "done" after the twins arrive, I think 3 is enough!!

DD helped me make a big chocolate cake. Just waiting for it to cool down so we can decorate it.

Needastrongone · 14/02/2017 16:20

Love Italy too Em. I know this isn't any comfort, but I do think sickness is a good sign, as the hormone levels are really kicking in. When I had a miscarriage, this was the only pregnancy where I didn't get sickness. Sandwich looks lovely.

Stunning day here, really sunny and spring like so I've been outside most of the day as why waste it? Did a class then did a track session, an hours cleaning inside, cleaned out my chickens and then did a 4 mile walk with my dogs.

I have a contact for battery hens......!

Spends.
£5 Class.
£25 Trail running magazine subscription as they have a free head torch worth £25. I might cancel after a month...
£7 Amazon.
££££££££££ on the new Hush collection!! (refraining for now..).

Valentines passes us by as it's our anniversary tomorrow, 18 years.

mammymammyIRL · 14/02/2017 16:25

Living Social 50' Hose on Reel Missed out on this last year and wasn't going to let it happen again. Our wood pellet delivery was estimated at 824.01 and cost 780.06 and this hose comes in at 23.98 including delivery so we're not down any extra money.

snuggly my dh reckons you're not safe in our house at all. We got the dog 'done' a few years ago as it wasn't fair on our bitch to be having pups, then dh got 'done' last summer and last month the cat got 'done' and if the new cat that has fostered us is male he'll get 'done' too.

This poor cat has a lump on his neck since yesterday, like he's swallowed a tennis ball, he also has a mark behind his ear which I think could be from a fight. It doesn't appear to be hurting him so I'm thinking abscess or dislocated shoulder, will see how he is this evening.

cag my dh would do the exact same thing as yours.

WreckTangled · 14/02/2017 16:27

Tip of the day: when sending an instant message to a colleague about your boss ensure you are sending it to said colleague and not boss BlushBlush

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/02/2017 16:30

Omg. Oh you didnt do that?

CremeEggThief · 14/02/2017 16:34

Oh no, WreckBlush. Is it the mean boss?

Fluffy, glad to hear that. I was wondering too, but hoping no news means good news. X

Ipsomatic · 14/02/2017 16:36

Oh my goodness Wreck I have done that before too.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 14/02/2017 16:53

I did! It was the mean boss but he was in a good mood and luckily I wasn't saying anything bad but was being a bit gossipy Grin

Needastrongone · 14/02/2017 16:56

mammymammyIRL · 14/02/2017 16:59
