Lost a big post due to being timed out of app Angry

Cag I'm guessing you're normally a person who says ya ok meekly whdn things don't go exactly how you want but internalise the upset. I think you need to channel this & on exaggerate the upset & the conditions you are living with and in to your advantage just this once to get you & your family out of this situation & you can go back to being you albeit happier & more comfortable after you've achieved this massive thing for your family. Stamp your feet, cry, get angry etc etc

I also have some of those toothpaste things but not as advanced as ems. Must root them out!

Just spent €30 cutting my hair including €5 tip

Ye know I've been debating buying a kindle fire with my deposit back from franchise fee? Well yesterday I talked myself in & out of buying one. Into amazon basket & out etc.
Then I put my frugal head on & said just buy a cover with integrated light for your regular kindle and use iPhone for everything else.
Well cover was £29.88, but kindle fire 7" 8gb was £29.99 & I'd £7 Amazon credit bonus from buying Amazon vouchers & I'll sell current kindle! Debated £10 extra on 16gb but micro sd cards can be added and pretty sure we have some at home. Smile

€10 on slimming class.

Mummyreindeerlegz · 24/11/2016 20:42

£53 in Aldi. That includes a big piece of ham for Christmas Day (ill cook it in Coca-Cola the day before I think) and a turkey parcel as the centre piece for a family buffet in two weeks (£7.99), batteries and a naughty baked cheese. I was pleased with that, the turkey parcel looks great and I'll buy a nice loaf of bread and people can slice it and make their own sandwiches as part of the buffet.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/11/2016 20:43

Nsd hurrah

allthebestplease · 24/11/2016 20:46

Enjoy the kindle if you use it every day then its good value.

Wildernesstips · 24/11/2016 20:54

£13 in Wilkos on Christmas paper and bits.

Good luck with the housing meeting Cag.

mammymammyIRL · 24/11/2016 20:57

Mummy I've been admiring the turkey parcel too

Was in Lidl €20 on food, €16 on q set of musical instruments, Christmas slipper socks & sweet tins for stockings

Mummyreindeerlegz · 24/11/2016 21:03

Mammy - we are eating it two weeks on Sunday and I'll report back. It cooks from frozen in 2hr45 which is handy!

mammymammyIRL · 24/11/2016 21:14

Please do mummy hosting dss his wife & 2 children this year. Can't wait

ememem84 · 24/11/2016 21:44

I've just watched who do you think you are.

And am inspired to find out more about my family. On mums side we've been asked not to long story on dads side no such instruction so I may take a trip to my parents tomorrow (again) to see what I can dig up. Might also visit our archives.

Tryingtosaveup · 24/11/2016 22:08

Em, please post pics of jar and contents.
Cag, write everything down in a logical sequence outlining 1) why you will soon be UNINTENTIONALLY homeless. The unintentionally is important. Include why you cannot afford the increased rent. Include the evidence that you lost your job through disability and cannot work full time or regularly
2) explain that 1 DC does not sleep and therefore keeps other DC awake and this is affecting the health of them both. As is cold and damp.
3) explain your disability and the fact that you need to be near facilities. Explain the symtoms and if possible get letter from GP to support.List your meds.
Have you applied for disability benefits? If you have them give evidence of them.
Hope you don't think I am lecturing it's just that I have helped other friends apply in the past. It is meant to be helpful.
Good luck.
£4.20 in motorway services because shortish journey was delayed by 2.5 hours because of accident and I was starving.

ememem84 · 24/11/2016 22:10

Will do trying. I am excited to smash it.

Needastrongone · 24/11/2016 22:18

Hey Girlie. That's not like you. Hope you are okay. Tiredness can make me teary too. Hope you get a break.

Ham in coke is yummy!

I wonder if the patient number figures break down how many GP's and practitioners there are, and the demographic of the patients etc? And the socio economic background of the area. Etc.

£9 training for DD.

Cagliostro · 24/11/2016 22:36

I have wondered about moving oop up north. TBH if the Caglets were still at school and miserable and we were all friendless here (as we were until we started home ed) cutting loose would've been pretty easy (we have DSCs here but they are now adults). But we just can't now. DD is so damaged by what went on at school and the main thing to have healed that is getting a good group of really good friends. As a family we have built up a really good support network and I think DD would be the hardest hit if we left it, even if we did end up somewhere else with a thriving home ed scene, in all honesty I believe leaving this one would destroy her :(

We do want to move away from the immediate area (the particular section of the town where we are - it's a massive town but with very distinct regions within it IYSWIM) as the school is here and being near it is quite upsetting (remembering the bullying etc) so the ideal solution would be the other side of town. But thanks to living near Gatwick (and therefore being fairly near London too) it's fecking pricey.

Cagliostro · 24/11/2016 22:45

And yes you have all analysed me totally correctly I am NOT one to kick up a fuss, ever! Even in my assessment for ASD a big part of the discussion was about my passivity :o Blush I find it really hard to stick up for myself, it's slightly easier fighting for my kids though.

I guess I'm just scared that no matter how much evidence I give them, it won't make a difference because you have to go by the set procedures and rules anyway.

mammymammyIRL · 25/11/2016 05:36

Girlie I hope you're getting some rest, I felt like that Sunday eve and was in bed at 7.15pm, just exhaustion on my part, I had an early night mon & tues too to get myself back on track.

Cag maybe your dh could do the legwork in this battle if you're finding it hard work.

Allthebest I had been reading a lot prior to light in cover being broken & loads of books have been downloaded via bookbub which are free. I used to use another download site & a programme called calibre must get back into that too.

Yeah it's Friday Grin
Someone said they are watching The Missing, I love it haven't seen this weeks episode yet though.

WreckTangled · 25/11/2016 05:53

Girlie hope you've had a good sleep and feel better.

Pay day! Including Christmas bonus which is more than the £30 I was expecting. Not loads but I'm not complaining.

Will be spendy. Have transferred money into joint account and we're going to Lapland uk later. Work first though and ds woke up at 4:30.

mammymammyIRL · 25/11/2016 06:23

Enjoy your day wreck
I went in to see dc before work & covered ds up & ended up waking both of them I'll be eating breakfast at work now!! Ended up lying in with him for 30 mins Hmm

Em I know you like make up & products. Birchbox have 20% off a subscription for Black Friday or 50% off first box, wonder would that give you your fix as it were?

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/11/2016 07:04

Happy Friday everyone.
Black Friday CBA

ememem84 · 25/11/2016 07:58

mammy omg! I'll take a look....

I'm actually hoping they don't deliver here...it could start something crazy. 😀

CollieMonster · 25/11/2016 08:06

girlie hope you slept well and feel better Flowers

Em we watched it too and it blew me away! Although Danny was a bit of pleb. I am interested in my ancestors and have done some digging. I am going to carry on searching.

I would LOVE to move up north. It's not an easy move though Sad salaries up there are actually pretty good (for my industry anyway). And obviously houses are much cheaper. Perhaps we will make the move later in life! We always have more fun up there - they have so many big parks / green spaces.

Mummyreindeerlegz · 25/11/2016 08:08

£32 on a computer game. Dh wants it for Christmas so the kids are giving him that. I set up a camelcamelcamel alert and it's down from £40 so happy with that.

ememem84 · 25/11/2016 08:34

Dh is meant to be taking me out for breakfast today.

He's still sleeping. Catface is tearing around chasing one of her mousies. Poor things they don't stand a chance. I'll get out of bed to find material and catnip and fur everywhere....

She slept next to our bed last night. When I went to bed she toddled in and sat next to bed. And stared at me.

At what time does breakfast become brunch?

Dh has to go shopping today as today is the last day to post things to guarantee delivery to aussi or NZ for Christmas. He's hijacked my day off. My tv watching chillin day off. I've agreed to breakfast. Then I'm coming home. And settling with my bucket of tea and the telly.

mammymammyIRL · 25/11/2016 08:43

Relax em it's your day off enjoy not having to get up to an alarm clock, although if you're hungry, keep nudging dh until he falls out of bed and wakes up to take you. Last minute shopping Angry

We were going away for a concert tomo night, it got postponed to March as one of the singers had an op on his foot, we're going to Dublin anyway so will be a meal out and some Christmas shopping. I need to figure out what's needed for who and tick a few off the list. Should have done this all week before Black Friday shouldn't I! It's my task for tonight though.

Consider what you already spend in boots monthly em and weigh it up. I'm not really a beauty products person so I'm considering getting the 50% off one box.

Needastrongone · 25/11/2016 09:02

I am Grin at the massive generalisation that we northerners are living in houses that cost £3.50 and living the high life. Have a look at what it costs to live where we do. Any area with excellent schools, rolling countryside and still good access to the transport network will come at a cost.

Bought some presents on Black Friday and used TCB.

ememem84 · 25/11/2016 09:07

He's up. And we're off for breakfast. Pancakes bacon eggs and sausage. Mmmmm. By the sea. Mmmmmmmmmm.
