I like both, Life, but I think the lighter grey edges it. My carpet is in between the 2 colours.

£4.05, posting my mum's birthday present to Ireland. Made one of the soups (parsnip, carrot, potato, onion and ginger) and it was delicious. Lunch for today, tomorrow and a portion for the freezer. I'll make the leek and potato on Thursday.

I've finally caved and set the heating to come on for 3 hours at night and 1.5 hours in the morning. It's 8° C here today and I can't hold out any longer. Brrr!

NeversellahouseCollie · 18/10/2016 15:54

life we have grey ! Very similar to the light grey and it looks amazing!

NeversellahouseCollie · 18/10/2016 16:09

We have had quite a bit of legal progress today! Tomorrow is a big day for us according to the solicitor and Estate Agent! I bet it won't be though Grin

Fingers crossed for you, Collie.

WreckTangled · 18/10/2016 17:05

Collie fingers crossed!

Nsd. Came home early from work as felt ill, thought I was going to be sick all the way home but now I just feel achy and hot and cold. If I stand up I feel really rough. Hoping because I haven't eaten today I'll be ok. Dh got the dc from school then went back to work. He's alright sometimes.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/10/2016 17:43

Light grey it is. Dc are 7&9, no pets anymore. It's bleachable so would be OK stain wise. Will order it tonight while still half price

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 18/10/2016 18:05

Oh no wreck wonder if its that vomiting bug the rest of your lot had?

Collie progress is progress Smile

Cag yes your housing situation is tough, are you on the council waiting list? Did your kids get an ASD diagnosis? I had storage heaters in the flat and they are a complete PITA, I found this little oil burner in Argos to be brilliant and more economical then the SHs.

boobs eek to that link - so much temptation!! Might be a good place to spend some birthday money!!

Ugh laptop being slow will pop a link on later!

NSD.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 18/10/2016 18:24

link for cag!

CremeEggThief · 18/10/2016 18:39

£20 on a pair of navy chinos in the Fatface sale online. It's the one shop I can't resist!

Half price is an excellent bargain on the carpet, Life.

Hope you feel better soon, Wreck. Starving might just stave off the vomiting. I do this if I feel sick and I'm sure it's not hunger pains.

WreckTangled · 18/10/2016 19:06

That's what I'm hoping creme. Although I'm still shivery I haven't felt sick properly. I fancy some toast but I don't think I should risk it.

CremeEggThief · 18/10/2016 19:12

No, I wouldn't either, Wreck.Brew

Wildernesstips · 18/10/2016 19:23

Wreck hope you feel better soon. I woke up with another cold and I have barely got rid of the last.

Wow Snuggly!

Cag have you tried an oil filled radiator? Not sure how expensive they are to run - we had one in our old house.

NSD, which is just as well as I just had my credit card bill with three flights to Canada on it. I do have savings to cover it though.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 18/10/2016 20:03

8 apparently they don't deliver here. happy to take my money though and not tell me

Refund initiated.

AdoraBell · 18/10/2016 20:43

NSD.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 18/10/2016 20:54

Justvestablished I have 11 eyeliner pencils. Must use.

Must not buy more.

Anyone use no7? I have 6 money off vouchers to be used by 30 oct. Happy to pop in the post if you want. Three skincare and three make up (both £3 off I think)

NeversellahouseCollie · 18/10/2016 20:57

Thanks everyone! I've bitten all my nails and twiddled my hair until it breaks off. Really hoping for good news tomorrow

In lighter news - accidentally purchased a £13 HD film on DHs XBOX! I pressed a button once too many and it was bought. Just like that! Totally my fault but kinda scary how easy it was so we have deleted payment details from his account so it can't happen again. We will watch it this weekend and turn it into "move night"!

northender · 18/10/2016 21:12

Blimey, this has moved quickly, I have tried to catch up a little but not fully.
snuggly what a bonus!
collie I so hope everything works out for you.

Had a lovely weekend away with dh, not frugal at all, but budgeted for. We also managed to pick up quite a few Christmas presents.
Back on the frugal wagon now though, spreadsheets updated. Freezer & cupboard audit done & we have enough meat, fish etc to feed us to the end of next week when we go away with friends to Wales for half term.

Dd has her drama show tomorrow night so we have my parents and 2 of my aunties are coming for tea beforehand. I've just made a big fish pie and a cottage pie and will leave them in the oven on timer when we go to work in the morning.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/10/2016 21:13

Home brewed beer.

Opinions?.

Tryingtosaveup · 18/10/2016 21:32

Definitely light grey lifelong

Shesgotelectricboobs · 18/10/2016 21:32

fluffy yes.

I bought df a brew your own kit a while ago for Father's Day. I think he basically just had to add the water. It was great.

Also "bought" my first Christmas present. Pre-pre-ordered dh a Nintendo mini. It looks ace.

Tryingtosaveup · 18/10/2016 21:39

Forgot to say good luck Collie
NSD 12th I think this month.

Eva50 · 18/10/2016 21:41

Yes, I think the light grey carpet. We have light grey with a dark grey fleck which I hoped would camouflage the Labrador hairs - it doesn't - but hoovers up pretty well.

£57 in Lidl. I really felt as if I got a lot for my money. I still need to get coffee and a quiche but that should be me for the week. I picked up a weekly offers magazine I Lidl and they have pj trousers, adults for £3.99 and children's for £2.99 starting on Sunday. I thought they would make a good Christmas pressies for my boys.

Cag I really like the idea of a prefab.
