Oh dear, Em but your comment made me laugh, fluffy!

Thanks for the recommendation Italian, have never heard of Zealando, will look at website. I'm having trouble working out my size! All my previous maternity clothes are size 12-14 but I was a 12 to start with. This time I'm starting from a size 10 so a lot is too big on the shoulders, legs etc but I expect I'll get a lot bigger as it's twins. So confused!

CremeEggThief · 14/09/2016 20:22

Sounds great about the course in Manchester, Fluffy. Your comment made me Smile too. DS hasn't quite resorted to that, but he called me a fucking bit cheaper a few weeks ago, in front of my friend and her son. I was quite proud of myself for staying calm, and telling him to leave the room, as he wasn't fit to be in civilised company. He was also fined 3 weeks pocket money.

CremeEggThief · 14/09/2016 20:24

Bit cheaper? Bitch.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/09/2016 20:27

Eek. It's a pity they can't stay babies.

CremeEggThief · 14/09/2016 20:33

I always say give me 40 3, 4 or 5 year olds (I've had over 40 Reception children on the carpet before on my own, without any teaching assistants) over 1 teenager any day of the week!Wink

Collieballs · 14/09/2016 21:24

Just did the weekly shop! DH lead me astray and it came in at £66 Inc £4 delivery. Mmmmmmm! That's the last time I ask for his help.

Ememem84 · 14/09/2016 21:36

Someone had told me that fluffy eek!

Couch is clean and fresh. We've moved her food litter and bed to the hallway (mostly varnished wooden floors Wink).

She's still under the tv thing. But she might move. I don't want to force her to move.

6th NSD this month, yay!

lilacclery · 14/09/2016 22:13

GrinfluffyGrin that's brilliant
Creme what age is your ds?
Ds told me he didn't care repeatedly the other night, he's 2! It was meant to hurt me!

Trying I'm also one who doesn't have standards. My work colleague irons at least one night a week for a few hours, I couldn't be botheredBlush
It's a Ford Focus zetec 1.6 diesel, putting deposit on in the morning. It's fabulous.

Anyone else had trouble getting onto mn this evening? Its been very hit or miss here!

Em bad puss! Did they mention any toileting issues at the rescue place? Hopefully its just a settling phase........

Fluffy you're a wise lady Wink

Creme eek! Am making the most of 10yo dd before she hits the teenage years!!

Have had a very productive day and am pleased, think I got most things ticked off the list Halo Also a LSD, bought a couple of books in the charity shop £3.20, one was a cupcake and muffin bake book which has inspired me to get baking!

Also spent £1.85 on milk and bread.

Made some banana muffins but unfortunately strayed from the recipe and they didn't turn out too well

Happy Birthday Needs ds Cake

lilacclery · 15/09/2016 06:05

It's very disappointing when baking doesn't work out after the effort. This is why I prefer cooking it's not so much of an exact science as baking is Grin
Will share the link to banana muffin recipe I used girlie it's all disappeared & I only ate two slices so it must have been good Smile I strayed from the recipe quite a bit so it was more crumbly than it should be

NSD yesterday, hoping for another one today.
It's the proverbial beans on toast chez nous this evening, just because :)
I was out of the house most of the day, I had a meeting straight after work till 9 pm, so quite behind with everything, but I woke up a bit earlier to do some chores.
All good here. Hope you have a good day everyone :)

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/09/2016 06:34

That's funny fluffy.
She's trying you em.
Can't wait for the teenage years, not. Already have a diva in the making.
Girlie will it be good with custard? If baking goes wrong hide it under sauce.
School uniform, work shirts and cotton wear gets ironed here, nowt else.

£6 on fruit yesterday.
Nsd planned today

WreckTangled · 15/09/2016 06:49

We had beans on toast last night.

I would like another nsd but we have run out of fruit and bread. Fine for me but Ds needs a packed lunch for pre school tomorrow.

Ememem84 · 15/09/2016 06:53

In a funny way I'm dreading having kids - I remember I my too well what I was like...

The rescue place didn't mention any toilet problems. But then her food, water litter and scratch post we're all with her in the enclosure (the small 5'x4' enclosure).

Couch was safe this morning. We put a couple of bin bags on the cushions. None on dms cats liked the rustley noise. Or the feel of them. Looks like Millie doesn't either.

She found her food last night (I've not been leaving much out - not to starve her just so I can see how much she's eating) so that's good. she is getting braver just not while we're around. I have to keep reminding myself baby steps. Baby steps.

I wanted to try and move her today to the hallway but the electrician is coming this morning and will be in and out.

Hoping for nsd today. I have to drive in as it's bucketing down today.

WreckTangled · 15/09/2016 07:14

Hot here today again, looks like it's the last day of it though.

Ah em I would be impatient too I bet you just want to give her a big stroke Grin

Ememem84 · 15/09/2016 07:34

wreck omg I so do!!! She looks like in time she'll be super cuddly!!

SnugglySnerd · 15/09/2016 07:39

I am going to Waitrose this morning. Haven't been for ages as it's quite expensive but I have a voucher for £8 off and 2 more for 50p off things that we need anyway plus the 10% off certain things with my My Waitrose so it should work out slightly cheaper than usual shop I think if I can resist all the lovely treats

Collieballs · 15/09/2016 07:40

A nice day is forecast here too! I think I'll get all the washing done and out on the line. Tomorrow's forecast is awful.

Is it too early to be looking forward to the weekend? This week has been really crap.

girlie I need to make a banana-something today. They're going black already! Again. Any excuse for cake in my belly Grin

It looks like our new house is EPC E! Oh my days. Going from EPC A+ to E will be a shocker this Winter.

AGenie · 15/09/2016 07:52

Fluffy I LOL! so much at your comment about cats. It's absolutely true.

Your course sounds brilliant. Your enthusiasm is infectious and makes me want to go too. Smile

Can I ask a question about the business of having nails done? I've been referred for counselling to see if getting rid of some stress can help with the health problems in the family. I was saying to dh how incredibly helpful it is just to have a chat to someone about problems and to get another perspective on them. He said, maybe that's why women have their nails done and go to hairdressers such a lot, not just for the cosmetic effect, but to have a chat about life problems.

I wondered if I might ask whether you all get that sort of benefit from visiting nail bars? I assumed you went because you wanted your nails to be a different colour, but now I'm wondering if I'm missing a whole lot that I hadn't known about before.

SnugglySnerd · 15/09/2016 07:57

That might be true, Agenie, my hairdresser also does my mum's hair, and a couple of my friends. I joked with her once that I worry about her talking to my mum as she knows far too much about me! She told me it's considered bad form to discuss clients with other clients.
I know I always feel better after meeting up with my best friend. I see her about once a week and we usually have a good rant!!

Mummyshortlegz · 15/09/2016 09:00

Yesterday £38 on my first months gym membership, if I can go five times a week to gym / classes I'll have made that back in a week. £52.50 on hair cut, she's now gone on maternity leave so not sure what to do. £2ish in Tesco on a birthday card and some peppers.

Meal four out of my roast chicken tonight. I stripped it and then divided it into three and froze two bags so it'll be fine. We had roast on Monday, orzo risotto, chicken fried rice and tonight is fajitas. The chicken cost £3.50 and it's feeding 3.5 of us at each meal.

northender · 15/09/2016 09:28

Just catching up on the past couple of days.
Italian great news about your dh's raise.
Wreck I think that rate for recorder lessons is outrageous, you're not a bad parent.
Need hope ds enjoyed his birthday. Did he have a driving lesson on his birthday. When we bought my car last year ds commented that maybe this would be the car he would learn to drive in (He was 15 two weeks ago) eeek!
Collie good luck with the house hunting
Listen to Fluffy about spindryers, she speaks the truth, they are life altering in the winter. I love seeing the amount of water that comes out, even from things you wouldn't expect.

I've been fully back at work this week as in seeing patients, running clinics rather than just office based as I was last week. It has been okay so far, just hope the angiogram doesn't mess things up, it's next Saturday (fun weekend treat!).
Updated our finance spreadsheet this morning and we're doing well so far in September. Starting to think about Christmas now & jotting down present ideas.
Building work is noisy today so I'm taking my mum out to our local market town for some charity shop browsing.
