I would, it's not your fault after all.

Years ago I made friends with another podiatrist who was, to be honest, a bit mad. Not in the good way either.

She nicked a business idea off me and when I stopped going out with her etc she got a freind of hers to ring me pretending to be the agency and cancelled a weeks work! I didn't mind because I already had work booked elsewhere so I was going to cancel that week anyway.

But the other agency minded when I didn't turn up, they never rang me though they waited until I phoned them when I had a spare week then bollocked me and said I'd been seen working in a pharmacy the week in question. They wouldn't believe my side at all. It was mad pod who'd been working in the pharmacy, not me. I'd been in Birmingham.

Even when the other agency faxed them to show my time sheet they wouldn't believe me.

Worryingly she has found Jesus and has children now.

CremeEggThief · 06/06/2016 10:12

Oh FluffySad. FWIW, you're better off without her. It's awful when people are deliberately malicious.

CremeEggThief · 06/06/2016 10:15

I'm going to make the most of today anyway. I'm going to catch some sun in my garden, as at long last, it's sunny here. Apart from laundry, I'm not going to do my usual Monday housework and my lunch and dinner (pasta bake from the freezer) are already sorted.

WreckTangled · 06/06/2016 11:39

£120 odd on new sandals for both dc and trainers for dd. Ouch. £14 waitrose and £2 parking.

Ememem84 · 06/06/2016 13:13

cag glad you had a good trip!!

dont Oopsy! I slipped in Mac a while ago and am listing after the urban decay Alice in wonderland pallet.

babs wreck sillys. Be more sun safe!! ☀️☀️

I'm home from work. Mil issues took their toll on me this weekend. Had about an hours sleep last night and couldn't function this morning.

Have spent £16 in m&s on lovely fresh fruit (strawberries raspberries apples melon satsumas and pineapple) a wrap for lunch and a bag of Percy pigs.

Windows are open here to let the day and fresh air in. And I'm on bed with my lunch piggies and a fruit salad. Nap ready!

Tryingtosaveup · 06/06/2016 14:02

that's terrible Creme, they should at least pay you the £25. They're bastards treating you like that. I would write and complain but I suppose that would mean you wouldn't get any more work there , but the agency should complain to them on your behalf

Tryingtosaveup · 06/06/2016 14:04

Creme, I didn't know you could freeze pasta bake, in fact I didn't know you could freeze cooked pasta

CremeEggThief · 06/06/2016 14:16

It's not the greatest, Trying, but it's very handy for a quick meal, especially when you have to eat at different times. I have a portion of macaroni cheese and spinach in my freezer too.

babsmam · 06/06/2016 14:54

Oh em, hope you feel better after your day off.
Feel like the pied piper. Inset day and both dc have friends round. Dh and I going out for birthday tea later though

WreckTangled · 06/06/2016 15:11

Creme that's so annoying.

I got dd sketchers and she loves them I think I might be addicted to them.

It's 27 degrees here.

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 06/06/2016 15:56

Em that's the urban decay pallette I got... as well as a smokey pallette.. contour kit from mac.. I'm so naughty. I look forward to watching YouTube vids and playing round with the colours.

I need some new makeup brushes. Can you recommend any?

Apart from that I've been working today. It's boiling and I feel minging. My work uniform doesn't help. I've nipped home for a cold can of Pepsi max. My car reads 39c.

Ememem84 · 06/06/2016 16:07

3 hour nap and am feeling a bit better. Smile

dont I use a mix of brushes from body shop, Natural collection and Mac. All stored in an old jam jar.

I've put the Alice pallet on my birthday list. I'm not sure if it's limited edition but if it's still available in oct I'll have to hope I e been good!

Pre nap I took off my make up and have sorted my face out. Annoyed to find that all my clarins stuff is running out. At the same time!!! Gah. Hopefully I can eake it all out until after payday then stock up again. They usually have a wicked summer deal too so hoping!!

EvaDelectorskaya · 06/06/2016 16:27

Is that the same Alice in Wonderland palette as a few years back? If so I still have it and the colours are fab, but it put me off Urban Decay as I found the shadows so messy, I would end up with shadow from my brows to my chin! I never really used it much for that reason. Maybe that was just me though.

Em - I wasn't aware the Clarins summer deal was particularly good, I'll have to look out for it in that case, there's a few Clarins products I really like and I have a voucher for my local stockist Grin.

Spends today
€63 in Lidl.
I think I've stocked up pretty well though, I'm trying a new system where I go to Lidl one week and then a more expensive supermarket the following week as I don't have time to go to both every week like I did when I was on maternity leave. Will see how it goes!

Spends Sunday:
€6 in local shops on bread and beach snacks.

needastrongone · 06/06/2016 16:53

I'm just picking up from Creme's last post. Sorry to hear of the 'misunderstanding'. Really bloody annoying and at least they should pay your travel card, you've based your plans around this weeks work!

No idea on make up, sorry Smile

No spends at all over the weekend as I've been out and about with DD.

£80 Abel and Cole. Annoyed.com as I forgot to change my order and didn't need half of it.

Busy week this week and I'm working extra and training a lot and negotiating DS's exam period, plus pony needs shod and booster jabs to fit in. So, I'll post when I can.

BBQ tonight as it's so glorious, and we have food from the weekend.

Ememem84 · 06/06/2016 17:30

eva ive always found its a good deal. Although usually travel size products. I haven't found anything that works on my skin as well as clarins. am lucky in that dm knows the products I use so always stocks me up for my birthday. So I only really have to buy once a year for myself.

Back on taking care of us now. I've neglected myself and Dh. We haven't been eating properly. Haven't been sleeping. And have been super stressed. So. Healthy grilled ginger lime salmon and crunchy veg noodles for dinner. I've just drunk a couple of pints of water with cucumber (must drink more as I'm feeling awfully dehydrated at present) and have a meditation/tai chi thing tomorrow after work.

I also thoroughly enjoyed my pineapple earlier 🍍

apivita · 06/06/2016 18:22

Oh creme that sucks!! Are they paying you back for it??

Paid £112 for children's swimming. Brought food to work. Starting count down soon!

WreckTangled · 06/06/2016 18:26

Dh is awful. If I make dinner and put salad in a bowl on the table he won't touch it. I think it's teaching the dc the wrong thing, plus I wonder why I even bother Hmm

Who was it who mentioned Sheffield mutual? I wanted to say a big thank you as I will very soon have £75 worth of love to shop vouchers and I'm going to treat myself to either s nutribullet or a nutri ninja (any recommendations?) with it. Plus I'm saving for the dc. The company are brilliant as well.

Work tomorrow dreading it after an awful run in with a patient on Friday. I snapped at her and it was totally unprofessional but she was so, so rude to me and it was the last straw after a whole day of dick heads.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/06/2016 18:32

TBH patients need telling sometimes.

60p on a tile sample.

Is clarins cheaper in France? em?

ipsogenix · 06/06/2016 18:41

Good to know that 6 is complex age. I have noticed that the year 2 boys are a bit more volatile, now I think about it.

Trying, thanks that's kind of you to say. We're all a bit single track in our family, so good at science chat and rubbish at tennis and stuff like that. He's obviously following us along in that.

Fluffy that's very weird about your mad friend. I hope Jesus is ready for her.

PurpleRibbons · 06/06/2016 19:17

NSD hooray!

Ememem84 · 06/06/2016 19:28

Not sure if clarins is cheaper in France. Maybe with the exchange rate. But then there's he cost of getting there...!!

apivita · 06/06/2016 19:32

Can I ask a question quickly? (I was the buzzing insect for a while...so I am one of the regular ones!).

You know I was changing jobs, got the one in London etc etc. So is has been decided that since its some sort of joint venture, they were thinking of doing it one contract, secondment to second place. Now they are thinking of doing it .5 .5. Ie, .5 contract at each place. I've never worked 'part time' before (although it adds up to a full time job if that makes sense)...

My question is, how does taxation work in that case? If each side pays me 30k each for example, rather than earning 60k and then paying 40% tax, how would tax work? 20% each side? Confused

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/06/2016 19:45

I think you'll pay 40% because the taxman will know how much you earn overall.

WreckTangled · 06/06/2016 19:47

A second job is taxed at 40% anyway isn't it?

apivita · 06/06/2016 19:56

Thanks... Ans how would that look for the pension? Any idea?
