Purple, you can iron on fabric to fix it from the inside then just flip it over.

PurpleRibbons · 02/06/2016 11:53

Would that work on a huge rip, fluffy?

EvaDelectorskaya · 02/06/2016 12:21

€3 on bread rolls

Tuesday's spends:
€82 in supermarket

AuditAngel · 02/06/2016 13:18

Hello all, checking in from the Netherlands. Journey here was awful due to rain of biblical proportion. Spends on the way, £10 topping up the petrol, but as journey was so bad, will need to fill again to come home.

Also spent about £10 on coffees, other than that have used the €account. Bought some bits on site, but took a trip to local Aldi and other supermarket as ventured out to get cash.

EvaDelectorskaya · 02/06/2016 14:14

Hope everyone on hols is having a lovely time!

Just had a wander around a local baby shop at lunchtime, need to buy a few bits for DS1 but couldn't do it today as I was walking and couldn't carry them. It amazes me how there is a such a continuous need to buy new things to 'equip' a baby/toddler; I thought we had bought or been given everything we needed before he was born but every couples of months, we are spending more. Right now we need one or two new car seats, a new blackout blind, a new cot bumper and maybe a bath seat now that he has outgrown the baby bath.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/06/2016 14:29

It's worth a try purple I bet YouTube has a video.

WreckTangled · 02/06/2016 15:04

Dentist was ok. The scaling hurt so much I almost asked him to stop and I've had toothache since. He's such a lovely dentist though.

babsmam · 02/06/2016 15:49

£20 in sports direct, £20 in wilkos

Wreck do you have sensitive teeth. I always feel like I go through the mill at the dentist. Run sensitive toothpaste on your teeth straight from the tube. The nerves may be a bit jangled but should settle with paracetamol.

Hope Dd is OK north

It's never ending Eva, or at least it feels like it with kids

Happy holidays audit

EvaDelectorskaya · 02/06/2016 16:19

Definitely babsman, we are talking about trying for a second baby and I feel like we need to in order to get the use out of all the things we have bought. Another child probably isn't a money saving scheme in the long run though WinkConfused

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/06/2016 16:24

£5 petrol
£11 wickes, £7 worth is going back though because I didn't use it.
£8 sd card for the dashcam.

Painted the hall, stairs and landing white. Just got a bit of filling to do and then we can buy tester pots. Oh and painting the loo White too.

northender · 02/06/2016 17:03

Thanks for your concern re dd. nothing is sorted, the rash is spreading daily and the GP has no idea what it is so she's being referred to dermatology. Hopefully that will happen quickly as it looks really angry and itches like mad.

WreckTangled · 02/06/2016 17:13

Yes I do babs good idea thank you Smile I've taken pain killers and they have definitely helped.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 02/06/2016 18:16

Eva cot bumpers are not recommended iincrease cot death risk and increase iin risk of suffocation and strangulation so save your pennies.

Car seats go for extended rear facing something like joie stages extended rear facing til 4yrs then ff and then becomes a booster seat.

Baby bath seat check ebay, Gumtree and Facebook selling page loads for £3-5 bleach it n good to go.

Blackout blind get a groblind currently £20 from tesco it sticks to window cuts out more light than roller blind and can be taken with you on holiday and visiting relations

Ememem84 · 02/06/2016 18:19

Hope everyone is ok.

I am so tired. 😭 and am off to London tomorrow. Which I could do without if I'm honest. But hey ho. Will have a nice lunch somewhere.... But could really do without having to speak to clients and make small talk. And having to get dressed smart! Friday is my comfy day!!! #firstworldproblems

Spent £5 in boots topping up my travel bag (mini Deodourant, hand cream, toothpaste and face wipes). Feel icky if I don't take that stuff with me. Usually keep full size stuff at work just in case. But can't take the full sized on the plane. Sigh.

WreckTangled · 02/06/2016 18:50

Argh. Placed an order with next on Saturday was due for delivery Tuesday. Didn't turn up so next re ordered to be delivered today and guess what? Not turned up. I also placed another order yesterday with them and it hasn't come I'm really pissed off as I needed it for tomorrow Angry

ipsogenix · 02/06/2016 19:27

Em That's a great idea to look into relaxation options. I'd be interested to hear what you find out. My scheme is ironing to internet whale music, which is surprisingly effective, but I'd be glad to have some more ideas if you have any to pass on.

Cag well done for enjoying your leaving party. I still dream and daydream about my old friends in my last job. If you feel low for a while, just hang on in there. The brain chemistry takes a time to get into the equilibrium again after a loss, but the good times will come again once you're into your new life.

I get my electronics stuff mostly from ebay, but there are a lot of different shops online too. If you google Raspberry Pi and Arduino then that will get you to the right places. The BBC have just commissioned a new tiny computer and are going to make a tv series about it so it might be well worth you finding out about that and joining in. I think the machine costs about £13.

Well done on the councelling lilac. Great news.

We're pottering along here enjoying our holiday. Ds has developed a belter of a temper and I'm not sure whether it is a growing up thing, or if the gluten-free fish fingers that we're introduced this week are turning him into the hulk. He's doing lots of climbing in parks though and really enjoying it.

I've been relatively sensible about money. Smile

needastrongone · 02/06/2016 19:31

Sorry your journey wasn't great at all Audit, and really sorry to hear about your poor DD's rash North.

What colour/s are you considering Fluffy?

Spends today.

£40 (but £0 really as had a credit note) on comfy camping chairs for the horse box, my originals were so cheap and so crap.
£30 Pony and chicken feed.
£40 Aldi, including socks for myself and food for the weekend, another competition.
£30 cleaner.

Took food to work for lunch. Tea was quiche, chargrilled courgette, and baked sweet potato with onion, cheese and harissa.

The house 2 doors from us has sold in 3 days, under priced for sure at £485 Grin

needastrongone · 02/06/2016 19:32

£k that is, £485 would really have brought the offers flooding in ha ha!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/06/2016 19:41

I used to love electronics at junior school. We used to do circuit boards.

Need It'll be a farrow and ball colour. Probably Joas White. I'm doing the bedroom afterwards. You know how I like my pretentious paint. It sounds like your neighbours need to move in a hurry if they under priced.

wreck email their CEO, to let you down twice in one week is pretty shoddy.

£3.74 on two pizzas. The mince smelt funny so I binned it.

needastrongone · 02/06/2016 19:46

Divorce sadly Fluffy, young couple, married less than 3 years. Goes off to Google Joas White.......

ipsogenix · 02/06/2016 19:53

Sorry to hear about your neighbours Need. What a shame.

Did anybody else have this amazing rainstorm the last few days? We had a huge amount of rain in one night and I see that the Seine has risen 5m (Yikes).

I just did my end-of-month numbers and learned a thing. I thought this month wouldn't have been spendy with house things as I haven't done any big house projects. However, we have been working away at fixing bedroom blackout curtains and varnishing the climbing frame, and that, with a few other things, has really mounted up. Must watch out for that in future. I suppose this is why the YNAB budget exists so that I would get a warning when exceeding reasonable expenditure.

EvaDelectorskaya · 02/06/2016 19:55

Eastmids, I didn't know that about cot bumpers, is there anything safer you can use do you know? We actually have one in place currently but it only covers the top section on the cot and DS is banging his head on the side when moving around, causing him to wake up.

Thanks for all your advice, will check out the groblind in Tesco, I didn't think of going there but that sounds like a very good price for one.

Hope your trip goes well Em and lunch is very nice indeed Smile

babsmam · 02/06/2016 20:10

Ah that's sad about your neighbours need.
Ah wreck that's naughty of next.
Hope you get some rest Em and your trip is OK.
No rain here Ipsos, just cold and windy but the sun did break through tonight.

I'm really sad for the bhs staff today but in frugal news I wonder if there will be a decent sale? I liked bhs for various stuff.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 02/06/2016 20:36

Eva someone told me tesco had groblind on offer I won't take full credit.

You can get these bar bumper things just popper round two bars each lots wahm make then or an air bumper so goes all way round but let's air flow through.

My 18mth old has since small a cellular blanket rolled that's then tucked under mattress one end rolled and pushed tight between bars n matress in the general area where he would roll n bang head on side.
