Have a lovely day tomorrow girlie!

Girlfriend36 · 20/11/2015 22:36

Thanks guys, I had two patients today who looked genuinely shocked when I told them I was going to be 37 so that was good Grin one was registered blind though Wink

It has suddenly gone flipping freezing here, dd has outgrown all last years vests so I will need to pick her up some tomos I think. Not sure what to do with the old ones? Don't know anyone to hand them down to and am thinking charity shops won't want vests? They are age 9-10yo.

babsmam · 21/11/2015 05:55

Happy birthday girlie

SpottyTeacakes · 21/11/2015 06:39

Happy birthday girlie!

My new phone contract tracked through topcashback at £28 but has confirmed at. £55! Really pleased.

Off to LaplandUK today I'm so excited! Will probably be a bit spendy for dh

Food shopping coming this morning and I've just realised I forgot to get cereal.

ipsos · 21/11/2015 07:23

Fluffy LOL! at your cat fraud idea. Smile

Happy anniversary spotty!

I'm half tempted to retry the central heating test but I've got a rotten sore throat and bad cough, so I might put it off for a bit.

Ememem84 · 21/11/2015 07:50

Happy birthday girlie

Today's spends £25 riding lesson.

Currently lying in bed listening to the rain. I have no waterproof trousers. So unless it stops I'm going to get wet.

Then back to studying. Have 6 days until exam. Eek!!

Dh has damaged his knee somehow so can't do anything. useful

fuzzpig · 21/11/2015 08:28

Got to break a £20 for bus fare today, driver won't be happy! Normally have a tenner from piano but the parent only had 20 so paid in advance for next week's. Unless I can scrabble about for change, might need to take some 5ps out of the change pot. Bad planning. I am really considering just paying out for a quarterly bus pass, it would work out cheaper overall and would save this frequent "oh shit I don't have bus money"! Blush

Starting to make better headway on Christmas shopping now.

DCs having a private trial of a ballroom dancing lesson this morning, as there aren't any classes of absolute beginners their age so they're going to teach them the basics! It's wonderful how accommodating they're being - stark comparison to the other teacher I emailed, who told asked me to pay the rest of the term fees before the first lesson if I wanted him to have a go! Hmm

I'm not posting on this thread very often ATM so good luck with your exam Em! Star

SpottyTeacakes · 21/11/2015 08:40

Eugh just had tesco phone up because our card hadn't gone through Blush dh got paid yesterday but hadn't moved any money into the joint account Angry

Collieputthekettleon · 21/11/2015 08:44

Happy birthday girlie! CakeFlowers

ipsos · 21/11/2015 10:28

Bosch just wrote to say they're going to send a new dishwasher under warranty, but they've currently run out of them so it might take a while. The novelty value of hand washing dishes while living in a building site is definitely wearing off now.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2015 10:45

Happy Anniversary Spotty. I'm sure the family wouldnt have given you money if they didnt want you to have it.

Happy Birthday Girlie Cake

Ipsos I would be furious at that letter. It's a major manufacturer of household appliances there's no way they've run out. What they mean is they don't have the precise basic model they give out in these situations. I would email the CEO, it is not good customer service to do this to you so near to christmas when you have paid a premium for a Bosch dw. www.ceoemail.com/s.php?id=b-9172. Perhaps they would like to order you one from John Lewis? Grin.

£2 on coke zero but will get £1.86 back on clicksnap. Saving them for Christmas in case anyone gives us blended whisky.
£1.56 on crisps for the Christmas stash.
£1.41 on dh's speshul milk Hmm.

CremeEggThief · 21/11/2015 12:26

Happy birthday, GirlieCake.

Happy anniversary, Spotty. Enjoy your day out.Smile

Pointlessfan · 21/11/2015 12:30

Just spent £39 on Pointlesscat's annual service and MOT and the vet found a small lump and recommended a biopsy. He also neds his teeth cleaned again. I love my little cat but I just saw pound signs when she mentioned the biopsy.
Anyway, going for a massage and shopping this afternoon with my birthday vouchers from September!

Lovely riding lesson to break up the study today.

On way there took old waterproof to Charity shop.

So lovely to be outside. It stopped raining for our lesson. Was all wrapped up so only my face was "out"

Back home and dh despite dodgy knee has made salami and cheese toasties and a pot of earl gray. And gingerbread. Yippee.

Back to studying now.

ipsos I would be calling them and demanding a new machine. Now. I hope it gets fixed soon.

happy anniversary spotty

babsmam · 21/11/2015 16:49

I have just booked my asda food slot for 23 Dec. Eeek

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2015 17:26

I'm wondering about a morrisons delivery the day we get back, last year we had to traipse up to aldi in the snow.

Bought a new slow cooker off tesco using clubcard boost. I've often needed two because the dw only goes on every other day and the bowl is dirty. It was £5 in coupons.

Those really efficient heat pump tumble dryers are coming down in price, I reckon they will be affordable next year.

Ememem84 · 21/11/2015 17:40

Oooh. Dh has bought a steam mop. Off of amazon. I am excited!

ipsos · 21/11/2015 18:41

Hi Fluffy That was what they said, yes. BSH Home Appliances Ltd they're called. Can't work out whether to get steamed up about it.

I've given up waiting for the wall guy to strip the wallpaper and done most of it myself with my Polti steam cleaner. Should get the rest done tomorrow. Now wondering if he's also rubbish at plastering. I would really prefer that that plastering is done right, but would feel bad firing him. Big dilemma.

CremeEggThief · 21/11/2015 18:49

Spendy day for once.
£9.60 on bus fares for me and DS. Return bus fares to go 6 miles and back.
£12.25 on cinema tickets for tomorrow, as they had sold out an hour before the film today.
£7.35 café.
£4 Tesco: on milk, popcorn for the cinema, and 2 selection boxes. They're doing them for £1 each currently.
£10.95 on my card for a gum shield for DS, who wants to start rugby training.
£22 on a Christmas jumper for me, on my Next card.
Phew!

ipsos · 21/11/2015 18:57

Okay, I wrote to their UK CEO. A nice polite letter. Not getting steamed up. No sense spoiling his day. Smile

ipsos · 21/11/2015 19:11

I took my £50 M&S voucher to the shops today and we admired all the lovely Christmas decorations and dining table accessories they had. Then I spend the whole £50 on black socks for dh and me and we went home. (Scrooge)

babsmam · 21/11/2015 19:13

I have 2 slow cookers fluffy.
Creme bus fares are soo expensive
Ipsos hope he is OK at plastering.

Nsd today

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2015 19:18

Good for you ipsos. I have family with those warranties and at the end they get offered pennies towards new appliances.

If you paid their premiums into a saving account you could buy a new one outright instead.

There's a really good offer on schwartz spices if you look on mysupermarket.com, quico clicksnap and topcashback snap'n'save.

Buy 2. Get 75p off at snap'n'save. 75p off at clicksnap and 50p off each if you buy different flavours at mysupermarket.

Clicksnap are doing cb on schwartz sc mixes too if you buy them at sainsburys, they work out at 45p each.

Pointlessfan · 21/11/2015 19:18

Hmmm, I put a curry in the slow cooker at about 11, tofu and veg. Left it on low and it's all cooked except the onions which are still crunchy. This has never happened before! I turned it up to high about an hour ago to get them cooked - still crunchy!
Had to do DD a bowl of pasta and pesto as she was hungry and ready for bed too. Am starving now!
