Hi all, new to this thread. Fuzz pig, I use cornflour to thicken curries etc. Put a heaped teaspoon into a mug/jug and add a little bit of water and mix to a thin paste. Stir into curry and cook for a further 15 mins. Works for me!

girliefriend · 29/07/2015 14:59

Fuzz that seems really unfair Angry

I have been in town all morning, went to the local museum as stuff going on there ended up paying £4 to look round a lego exhibition Hmm dd loved it though. Dd bought a soft toy which I have told her will come out of her own money - she is a soft toy addict Grin

Tea and cake was £3.50ish

£4.50 in Wilkos on a paint brush and an insulated lunchbox reduced to £2.50!!

Umm think thats it.

Not too bad considering it was a good morning.

Frugal wins - cycling in so saved a good £4.50 on parking and took a pack lunch with us for lunch.

babsmam · 29/07/2015 15:03

Oh collie we will come round for tea. We lufs a roast dinner. Don't bother with the cafe on the beach if you ever come. It's decent and a local church are doing free beach games with a bit of religion thrown in which we can ignore.

lilacclery · 29/07/2015 15:26

fuzz I just take off the cover for an hour and it thickens up that way.

SpottyTeacakes · 29/07/2015 16:10

Fuzz that's rubbish Sad

We're having spag Bol for dinner.

Dd just lost her first tooth! Hence an urgent text to dh to bring home 50p. She's only just five!

After spending £50 on some new walking boots and the gaiters that I had to have to match I made amends with a frugal tea - used leftovers, turned the gas off early and ate out of the pan, thus saving on washing up space. I think that cancel's out the spending.

Fuzz - sorry to hear that. I'm not entirely sure that's legal. Can he check or speak to someone in ACAS to see if that's legal? Or HR? They can't just demote him. They can say he doesn't have the IT skills but was that in his original job description? Otherwise it's a case of them having to send him for training whilst he's still on this same job band.

Nsd.

AdoraBell · 29/07/2015 22:09

Yes fuzz Get him To double check it's legal.

We had a day out, NSD for me but DH paíd for lunch, entry To an otter/butterfly centre and afternoon tea. Probably about £80 all in.

See you all on the Augusto thread.
