Everyone welcome.

Can you add more syrup etc and try again over a gentle heat?

OP posts:
Myturnnow4 · 25/07/2015 20:03

I should have done but I just recklessly added the cornflakes. I'll still eat it.

All.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/07/2015 20:32

It's what the cornflakes would have wanted.

Hello to everyone!

Shocked at that job advert! Really hope something is done about it, such a disgusting attitude.

Another spendy day, but all budgeted for on YNAB. Hate seeing the account dwindle to much though. Got ds 1 the rest of his uniform, a school bag for €10 in TK Maxx, they had a great range! Lunch boxes and drinks bottles. But it's done now, phew. Need to save better for this time of year, it was a huge chunk out of our salary this month.

Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday night! We cancelled our sky a few weeks ago and it was cut off today. We never really watched it, but it feels weird not having the option now!

Myturnnow4 · 25/07/2015 21:09

I'm so relieved that the end of the month is in sight. I think I'm going to come in under budget at this rate. I've not done too badly. Underestimated how much I spend on petrol and over-estimated how much I spend on food. I'll adjust for August and that'll be my first full month under my new circumstances.

Myturnnow4 · 25/07/2015 21:09

And I meant to say, fluffy that made me smile which is saying something today. Thank you.

Would love to do away with sky but husband would have a long slow agonising (for me) death.

Trying to be frugal but I'm shit at it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/07/2015 21:35

Could you have a Now tv box instead?. You can buy daily sports packages and get cashback for the box off topcashback.

You're not shit you're just not practised at it yet.

ipsos I take photos of the toys they genuinely seem keen on and farm them out for xmas and bday presents. It does get boring saying no, but they've seemed to get used to it!

Spendy couple of days, got holiday money yesterday, £28 chiropodist, £6 chemist (verukka stuff), £50 supermarkets which included underwear, polo shirts, a jumper and a water bottle, £24 Chinese, £13 swimming goggles, £13 watch for ds to replace the one he got for xmas and lost on boxing day- he needs to learn how to tell the time so needed really.

Tomorrow planning cinema and lunch out, kids are at childminders mon-wed so we try to make the weekends a bit more interesting in the school hols. Eeeek Spendy days.

I would like to get rid of sky too but we only get three channels without it.

I also get cross when recipes don't turn out well or, like today, I feel lazy so get an old El Paso meal kit and its rank.

I just fell down the stairs getting ds a drink Sad will await a bruised bum

SpottyTeacakes · 26/07/2015 07:21

Anyone good at decorating? We are going to get some paint testers this morning but I don't know what colour to go for! It's for our kitchen black tile effect vinyl, cream units (a country cream), a dark beige speckled worktop and then peachy cream rectangular tiles. So it's all quite light and beige atm (all free so not complaining) but need something to make it less so Grin any ideas? It's a pretty big kitchen it takes up half of the downstairs of the house (not a modern house).

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/07/2015 07:28

Farrow And Ball Elephants Breath? goes with everything.

Goes on like a dream too. Hows the bruised Bum?

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 26/07/2015 07:34

Thanks fluffy I'll get a tester of that. It's very painful! It's actually my hip (which is already bad) no bruise to show though Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/07/2015 07:45

Oh dear, you must have really banged it. We had a dodgy stair years ago, I was always ending up on my bum.

If you look on their website it suggests colours to go with each other and what sort of room colours look best in eg south facing or east facing etc. It's really useful even if you don't buy from them because it gives you combinations you might not have thought of.

Waving was away for two days at a wedding but haven't posted in longer.

Was feeling a bit ropey yesterday after drinking at wedding so bought a 7" personal pizza & ice cream on my journey home, then pizza burger & chips for dinner too so off the frugal wagon & diet one too! Today will be better. I'm home & planning to stay here!!!

needastrongone · 26/07/2015 09:03

Morning.

£25 on pizza last night as I got home from the hospital later than I thought (MIL had another op). Frugal fail but I wasn't in enough yesterday to bung something in the slow cooker.

Stocked up the wine and beer chiller and bought pony feed with the livery money saved for this month.

Need to menu plan as I have lots of veggies to use.

I will go with your DH collie if you don't fancy it Grin

I got the same letter about line rental going up by a pound from plus net. It is only £12 over a year, but since I'm guessing I'm losing £1400 in tax credits I could do without that. Could have paid for it out of the overtime I've had over the last few months, but that's literally been wiped out.

I'm dithering over cancelling Netflix. Was going to do it but they started sending messages about how I won't be able to sign up with the same price package again.

TheOnlyPink · 26/07/2015 10:43

rafals I don't think the new Netflix package is much more expensive. We only have it a few months and pay €10 for 4 devices. Don't think it would be a massive change if you changed your mind? Those emails are to scare you into keeping it!

Omg collie just worked out how much dh car costs us a day, out of curiosity. It's €11 a day!! Shock I'm the same with the washing, trying not to use the drier, but not getting much chance to use the line. Lashing again today.

spotty hope the fall wasn't too bad!

Should be a NSD today. Need to do a meal plan and a tesco delivery. Don't trust myself to stick to my list if I actually go to the supermarket, and even more so with the kids with me. It's lashing rain here today, this summer has been so rubbish!

babsmam · 26/07/2015 10:55

Lashing with rain here too. Happy holidays. Waiting for the holiday food shop. Reassuringly the lady we are letting from has had sainsbury food deliveries before. I forgot about 'fun' Cornwall single track roads. Going swimming this afternoon. 425 miles and the dc want to swim!
