Anyone thinking about skipping the latest booster?

WoolyMammoth55 · 26/09/2023 12:11

I've had 3 jabs in total so far, and the last one made me REALLY poorly - couldn't get out of bed for a few days, crazy fever, hallucinating.

They didn't stop me getting Covid, which I've had 2 positive tests for since the first jab, and which was mild compared to how bad I was after the last booster!

I've been invited for the next booster and just can't see why I'd get it. I've had 3 jabs already so must have some protection, right? And since I keep getting it despite the jabs, I'm fairly likely to get it again in the next 6 months whether I do or don't get jabbed?

I can't see the upside.

I'm studying hard for a career change and have 2 little kids. If I had a reaction like last time I'd really struggle to keep all the balls in the air...

I'm being offered the booster because of my high BMI but don't have any co-morbidities, blood pressure good, not pre-diabetic, generally well.

Curious to know what others are thinking?

It is shocking, you'd think there would be some impact on their careers for attempting to publish garbage for the last three years @theides

They have an entire website of papers that are such nonsense they've been unable to get any published, all making nonsense claims about the vaccines. This is genuinely suprising because normally you can get anything published if you pay enough or go to someone like Aseem Malhotra.

Said website: https://correlation-canada.org/research/

With all papers such as:

2022-08-02: D.G. Rancourt, M. Baudin & J. Mercier, “COVID-Period Mass Vaccination Campaign and Public Health Disaster in the USA”,

EDIT: I swore I woudn't get dragged into more debunking of nonsense anti-vaccine groups because they spring up like no-ones business (and the same old posters keep linking them on MN).

But this research was done by a team of physicists and someone describing themselves as "herbalist, health & wealth coach". Not an epidemiologist, statistician or clinician in sight, which explains why their work is so low quality and confuses association with causality.

people need to be jailed for such outrageous scaremongering, they all can't be wrong, but some are beyond the pale !

Seems like there's no need given their reports are so obviously crap they haven't been able to get much attention @theides

A team of non-experts who do not work in research or as scientists have attempted to publish multiple nonsense reports to scare people about vaccines - fortuantely they are such low quality they've been unable to get them published anywhere and they are pretty low profile.

Ideally they won't be profiting from this, though many similar groups are, and they do have a handy DONATE HERE link for those who want to waste their money!

JassyRadlett · 02/10/2023 20:29

Hang on, are you saying you don't like to get your virology and vaccine research from two physicists, an environmental researcher and a medical translator/copywriter?

God you really are in the pockets of Big Pharma, Big Medical and the World Government aren't you?

sunglassesonthetable · 02/10/2023 20:29

Nah , most people can see it's nonsense.
It's very transparent.

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 02/10/2023 20:30

I was never even offered the third one so I’ve given up expecting to be offered any more

Silveroriole · 03/10/2023 09:47

Autumn crow, have you checked with your specialist whether you should or should not have the shingles vaccine? I'm not expert but seem to remember that it may not be appropriate if you have low immunity.
Not saying don't have it, just check first.

Yes, it's appropriate but it has to be the (non-live) Shingrix vaccine, not the (live) Zostavax.

It's a good idea to contact my consultant team, though. They may be able to telephone my GP surgery or send a message. Thanks.

Holy cow, batman. Robert Malone may not be quite what he seems

Fantastic news and congrats to Katalin Kariko and Drew Weissman!

I imagine that Robert Malone (one of the biggest name in the anti-vaccine grift circuit and who claims to be the "inventor of mRNA vaccines") is absolutely fuming - he very briefly worked in their group and has been trying to take credit for other people's hard work ever since.

His name has come up quite a few times from those posting nonsense about COVID/vaccines on the thread.

For anyone interested: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/04/03/technology/robert-malone-covid.html

Edited

See my previous post from yesterday @theides - you (and him) are very predictable!

Malone is no more than a con artist at this point. Sad that we're still in a time when privileged man are desperately trying to steal scientific achievements from women.

Can't believe people are still jabbing 🤔🤣

Brilliant are you. Those of us with CEV and many of us with several illness leaving us in the CEV category are roaring with laughter

Very interesting, more food for thought, at least for the less easily led.

Dear me haven't you got a box set or something. No one's listening.

That's amazing. It's made my morning. It's like a greatest hits collection of conspiracy theory dog whistles, disproven claims about science and the law and meaningless buzz words.

Are you sure it's not parody? It reads like a parody? Or has the Pied Piper led people so far inside the mountain that they've got no critical thinking skills left?

SaltyOne · 04/10/2023 08:39

theides · 04/10/2023 07:56

When it comes to 'food for thought', my brain enjoys a higher quality of food than that dross. That is congealed porridge dregs.

You really need better sources than a blog for "patriots" that begs for money before you can read anything. I felt dirty and might need to check for computer viruses now. 🙄

theides · 04/10/2023 10:04

they really don't like the patents for mRNA belonging to Dr Malone being displayed... or that pfizer bankrolls the Karolinska Institute, which awards the Nobel.

I think you've muddled up free speech and terms of speech.

Like you got muddled on whether certain tests had been done.

It is quite confusing tbh.

You understand mRNA is a biological molecule that existed in the first cells that emerged on earth billions of years ago? @theides

You can't patent it nor can you be the "inventor" of it.

I am getting real second hand embarassment from the entitled man having tantrum about how he should have been given a nobel prize for something he did not contribute to and insulting the pair who did make this amazing achievement (one being a woman who's had signficant challenges in her scientific career!)

lightpineapple · 04/10/2023 11:16

theides · 04/10/2023 07:56

Could not get through the whole thing, but every other sentence is bonkers! How can you read something like this and this "yup this author knows what he's talking about" @theides

In the following three images we can see how Moderna and Pfizer both market their mRNA injections as an "operating system" and "software" as the Luciferian Fascist Jesuit Illuminati Freemasonic Cabal must put everything in plain sight to get "manufactured

FWIW, when I teach undergrad students I also refer to DNA as an "operating system", mRNA as "software", and proteins as "applications" because it's a nice analogy that simply explains the roles of these elements in the cell to someone without specialist knowledge.

This is all Pfizer/Moderna are doing are their information - it's a very common teaching example - and it is insanity of the highest order to read that and think it means the vaccines are robots controlling us or whatever they're trying to imply Hmm
