Tested positive on Tuesday and just wondering from what day are people starting to test negative with the current strain?

Does anyone feel rubbish even after testing negative? Headache, wheezy and snivels today, after a week of feeling better. Wondering if it is the heat or maybe I overdid it yesterday.

Yes, me. Still coughing and feeling generally rubbish. Of course, this horrible stifling weather isn't helping!

Day 13 and still positive here!

DP is day 5 and still positive.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 12/07/2022 17:20

Currently day 6. Test was slower to come positive and was more faint today. Does that mean I'm likely to be negative in the next day or so?

fortifiedwithtea · 12/07/2022 17:37

Yesterday was day 11 and negative for me but husband still positive. Today (day 12) dd2 although been ill all this time has finally tested positive. She now feels worse for knowing she is positive. Had to have paracetamol today for her headache, also tired and body aches.

Still a faint line on day 9, I hope it's gone by Friday as I'm down for Youth Club volunteering and they're really short of leaders.

Day 7 for me and still testing positive with a very clear line.

honeybooboo33 · 13/07/2022 10:57

I have a separate thread going regarding covid and so many people aren't testing anymore. Obviously you have to live by your own moral conduct but it seems like since tests stopped being free and mandatory people are just getting on with things unless they're too unwell to do so.

Day 14, still faintly positive! TB style cough and fatigue/dizziness my main symptoms now. Definitely wasn’t a ‘mild cold’ for me…

whenwillthemadnessend · 14/07/2022 19:37

4 days

PinkButtercups · 14/07/2022 19:45

Galvantula · 15/07/2022 10:24

Very faint day 6, negative day 7. DH still positive day 9 though 🤷‍♀️

InMySpareTime · 15/07/2022 11:40

Finally negative on day 11

OchonAgusOchonOh · 15/07/2022 12:35

Finally tested negative today on day 8. Very faint line yesterday and the day before.

Egghead68 · 15/07/2022 12:36

A relative is still faintly positive on day 13

canellini · 15/07/2022 12:40

Day 8

ChinnyTroubles · 15/07/2022 15:29

Still positive - day 6

Has anyone lost their sense of taste and smell on day 5 like me? I thought it was an early symptom and thought I had missed it, then yesterday evening lost them completely

Were tests ever mandatory? Maybe in certain jobs, but not for the general public.

Mybeautifulfriend22 · 15/07/2022 15:36

Dark dark lines still day 6/7
its still positive today day 8 not as dark.

ive drank lots of water, vit c tablet in water each day, vit d and ate fruit and veg/nuts/seeds etc

.Still positive. improved after day 3 when I was flooded with symptoms and temps etc but odd lingering symptoms like nausea and sinus aches but nothing bad . I’ve rested even when felt better. I’ve done a little more around the house each day but still loads of time to rest:

I think it just affects people differently and some take longer to test positive or negative.

MrsTomHardy13 · 15/07/2022 19:11

Day 12. Still got a bad cough though.
