I've got a sore scratchy throat, woke up could barely speak. Slight fever and a little cough.

Did a test negative, I guess it could be something else. I'll keep testing whilst I have symptoms I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

Following. I have woken up with a scratchy throat too. Was in contact with someone covid positive 4 days ago.

Madrenetterhere · 29/03/2022 11:45

Got a positive lft 4 days after start of symptoms and 4 days after positive pcr result

WildFlowerBees · 29/03/2022 11:51

I was sure it would come back positive, part of me just wants to get it over with I've managed to dodge it so far.

I had symptoms all of last week and still haven't had a positive lft. Been testing every day for 10days.

Mufflette · 29/03/2022 11:56

Two days - first evening with a sore throat negative and the same the following morning, then positive the day after that.

BlackInk · 29/03/2022 11:57

I felt a bit rough for about a week before I got a positive LFT – very tired and grumpy, slight sore throat and v slight runny nose. My DD had Covid and DP tested positive around 4 days before me so I was pretty sure it was coming for me!
On Friday morning last week when I tested positive I still only had the mild symptoms above, but they have ramped up since then.

Cecilia2016 · 29/03/2022 12:02

I had a bit of sore throat on Thursday last week and then I tested positive on Friday at work and here I’m now bad cough, sneezing, itchy eyes and I’m on day 4 with Covid-19

Cecilia2016 · 29/03/2022 12:04

But before Thursday I was absolutely fine with no symptoms at all.

Ancientbride · 29/03/2022 12:07

Second day of symptoms here but lfts negative. Ds positive after 4 days of symptoms so think I do have Covid. We’ll all managed to avoid it up to now but it’s totally rife in my area atm

Jackiebrambles · 29/03/2022 12:08

I had cold symptoms for 4 days before I got a weak positive line. Was positive for 6 days then. That was two weeks ago and I seem to have delayed covid symptoms because I now feel horrific despite feeling absolutely fine last week.

WildFlowerBees · 29/03/2022 12:14

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to covid. I feel ok, tired and other symptoms but not awful. Will test again tomorrow

Dd tested positive last Monday, so I tested every day last week (dh is CEV). On Thursday, it felt like my hayfever started - nothing unusual for me at this time of year. LFT was negative. Friday, I woke up with a raging sore throat, and the LFT was positive immediately. Dd was still positive last night!

SatinHeart · 29/03/2022 12:25

I got a positive LFT at the first sign of a scratchy throat when I had Covid.

Had a sore throat and runny nose all last week though and negative throughout. There's a very Omicron-esque cold going round at the moment.

MrOllivander · 29/03/2022 12:44

I'm absolutely streaming with something for over a week - negative though so there seems to be a nasty cold going round

CornishPasty101 · 29/03/2022 12:47

The first time I had it (October) I tested positive on the third day of symptoms. When I had it in Feb I tested positive before symptoms started (I was testing daly due to being a contact). I have known a few people not test positive for 2-4 days after symptoms starting

Mummyneedsacoffee · 29/03/2022 13:06

3/4 days for me. And I got hit pretty hard

emmathedilemma · 29/03/2022 13:08

I got a positive and a negative within 10 minutes of each other! I had a headache the day before and woke up with one that morning and a bit of a scratchy throat.

CandleWick4 · 29/03/2022 13:14

A week for me, started with symptoms on a Friday. Negative test, another negative test over that weekend. Assumed it must just have been a cold. By the next weekend I was still unwell so did another test - positive.

Jules912 · 29/03/2022 14:04

I think 1 day (I had what I'm assume was a cold the week before to confuse things), though that was the case with the PCR too. Negative LFT (testing as household contact) on the Saturday morning, started coughing Saturday afternoon and went for PCR which came back negative, didn't believe it due to aforementioned contact so did another LFT Sunday morning which was positive.

HSHorror · 29/03/2022 14:11

2nd lft. But already knew dd1_had it. About day 4 of feeling ill
Dd1 was 1st test. (With only nausea weird head etc)
2nd lft for dp too. I

But none of us 3 had a sore throat and i get that with every virus. I had extremely blocked nose 8d before positovr

Ginsmything · 29/03/2022 14:11

6 days from when I believe I was close contact, probably had symptoms for about 3 days before testing positive. I really was not that bad at all, just a bit of scratchy throat and headaches.

SpicePumpkin · 29/03/2022 14:27

I got a positive one day after getting symptoms. 4 days after my husband started with his symptoms. Very faint positive that got much darker with it 24 hours. On day 7 now and still have positive tests though don't feel unwell anymore, just incredibly fatigued.

Bobbybobbins · 29/03/2022 14:30

One day after symptoms but still having a strong positive on day 7 so I must have a lot of virus! Confused

Mindymomo · 29/03/2022 16:02

4 days of symptoms negative LFT each day, but same symptoms as other 3 family members of family, as presumed I had covid at the same time.

IronNeonClasp · 31/03/2022 23:54

Been testing for days. Full exposure; boyfriend and ex-H.
Tested 5pm today (headache, sore throat, delirious and working rough for a couple of days) knew I had it thought I was going mad.
Tested 23:00 - positive. Absolutely bizarre.

I cannot believe PCR's and LFT's are being done away with... Insanity
