How quickly did you get covid from a close contact ?

Did you catch covid ( omicron) from someone you live with ? How quickly did you get covid after they tested positive/showed symptoms?

It seems so random. I got it from ds after a few days. Dd and dh didn't get it at all. Dd then had it a month later. Dh still not caught it. My friends family, it hit her daughter, her a couple of days later, her ds the following week and her dh about three weeks after the first infection! Bonkers

DD tested positive last Thursday, so today is Day 6 for her and she's still testing strongly positive despite feeling much better.
The rest of us (me, DP and DS) remain negative so far.

DS had it in October and none of us caught it then.

It's a really odd illness...

Five people in our house all positive within two days of each other.

Thanks for all the replies ! I’ve been reading them and hoping to be one of the lucky ones . My husband is on day 10 of testing positive and so far I’m good ! The kids seem to be fine too !

4 days after DS1 tested positive DH and I tested positive. 4 days after we tested positive, DS2 tested positive.

No idea why there was 8 days between DS1 and DS2 - that are inseparable!! We all must have caught it from DS1/each other because DS1 caught it at school and we all isolated as soon as he tested positive.

My close contact had a light cold last Wednesday to Thursday. I worked with her all them days. We maintained social distancing.

She tested positive over the weekend with a very faint line.

I felt a slight sore throat last night and it's more pronounced now. I am testing negative on the home tests. No more symptoms. I will probably know more when I wake in the morning. If I have more symptoms or if I test positive.

I'm nervous. Its the worst time for a positive for me.
