Did you catch covid ( omicron) from someone you live with ? How quickly did you get covid after they tested positive/showed symptoms?

I haven’t
Both husband and son have had Covid and I’ve not caught it
You may be ok

Ds tested positive on Tuesday. I tested positive Friday. Dh took about four more days.

DelilahBucket · 07/03/2022 21:19

If I did catch it from DS, then it was six days later I suspected, seven days for a positive test. I could have caught it elsewhere although DS wasn't isolating in the house, we carried on as normal. DH didn't get it.

Justmuddlingalong · 07/03/2022 21:19

Symptoms 2 days later but didn't test positive until another 2 days after that.

Chakraleaf · 07/03/2022 21:19

It spread between 20 of us all within 4 days!

Jessicabrassica · 07/03/2022 21:20

DD had it 2x, dh and Ds all had it. Dcat and I remain covid free.

Plumbmonster · 07/03/2022 21:32

DS tested positive last Wednesday. Myself, DH and DD all remain negative. It’s a weird disease for sure!

Spacemonkey2016 · 07/03/2022 21:41

DP caught it 7 days after DS. DD and I both still negative (DS tested positive 13 days ago).

GeneLovesJezebel · 07/03/2022 21:42

3 days

Howshouldibehave · 07/03/2022 21:48

Never! Shared a bed with DH and a house with DC and I didn’t get it at all.

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 07/03/2022 22:15

4 days the first time
Next time didn't

That's household contacts.

Fileexplorerrrr · 07/03/2022 22:41

3 days from a positive test!

Flowersandhearts · 07/03/2022 22:56

2-3 days I think. Not from people that I live with but from family who were visiting for a few days.

PurpleDaisies · 07/03/2022 22:56

Four days here.

Flowersandhearts · 07/03/2022 23:01

Baby relative coughed into my face so I couldn't have avoided it! (I wash my hands constantly (diagnosed OCD) and have been so careful for two years!).

GozerTheGozerian · 07/03/2022 23:04

I caught it 9 days later. This was from the kids who were literally in my face so no idea why it took so long.

beautifullymad · 07/03/2022 23:44

Son had it last Monday & Tuesday and we didn't realise. Tested very positive lateral flow on Tuesday lunchtime.

Spent the evening together on Monday, ate and watched tv sat next to him.
Kissed him on Tuesday morning as he had a headache and felt poorly.....

No one else in the house caught it. Still not sure how.

Confusedteacher · 07/03/2022 23:49

DH was negative on Thurs, then positive on Sat morning. I was negative Sat, Sun, this morning and 5pm this eve (took a test after getting home from work as I knew so wasn’t quite right)

Took a test at 11pm this eve and very strong positive! So, about 3 days for me. I already had it in Nov too 😫

whenindoubtgotothelibrary · 08/03/2022 00:00

Wondering this too. DH tested positive last Tuesday, having I think caught it either on the tube, or at the rugby on Saturday. He's been really quite ill with it. Dd and I still testing negative today, nearly 8 days later. I can't believe we've escaped, so presumably it will be any day now. All vaccinated - only difference is DH AZ and us Pfizer, but can't believe that would make a difference.

PickAChew · 08/03/2022 00:02

Took a week from dh and Ds1 first showing symptoms for me to get a sore threat and another 2cdays for a positive.

Ds1 never got it, even though 8 helped him with his personal care

Scottishgirl85 · 08/03/2022 06:32

4 days each time

Bickles · 08/03/2022 07:21

Saw contact all day Thursday, they started symptoms Thursday night. I started symptoms Saturday night. So 2-3 days?
DS and DH still symptom free so far. Really hope they escape.

Jules912 · 08/03/2022 09:57

Never despite DD sneezing in my face. I can only assume the vaccine works, though DS who's too young to be vaccinated also didn't get it.

LoonvanBoon · 08/03/2022 10:02

DH had it two weeks ago. I didn't catch it. I felt pretty fatalistic about catching it and we didn't take any measures to avoid my getting it. Can only assume that either my vaccinations have done their job, or that DH - also fully vaccinated - had a pretty low viral load (only symptom was a mild cough and slightly odd sense of smell for a few days). It does seem very random.

Gjd60 · 08/03/2022 10:04
