Timeline of feeling rough?

RenGreen · 26/01/2022 13:05

Triple jabbed - prob started feeling unwell on Monday evening positive faint LFT yesterday. Covid in the house DH and eldest DC.

Came on last night too which is a double whammy! Headache is ok I’ve taken paracetamol had a dry cough last night.

Have worked this morning (but a phone based role) stressful job though. Have got into bed now to rest - moved my calls to 4pm

I feel like something is brewing. I was down as CEV (combination of health issues). So I’m a bit worried.

If I don’t feel rough immediately like now is this the worse it’s going to get?

I slept from 1030-130am then from 2am to 8am.

Well I spoke to soon about feeling not to bad on day 7. By 5pm today I felt shocking the worst I've felt so far.
Banging head again, exhausted from just walking to the kitchen, no energy to go anything and also a little nauseous. Currently in bed now hoping for a better day tomorrow

Abraxan · 27/01/2022 21:19

@buckeejit

Hope you're feeling better *@RenGreen* definitely rest now so you can work more efficiently sooner.

@Abraxan what a comprehensive diary-thanks & hope you're feeling better soon 💐

I've done nothing again today, feel dizzy & tired still but not really sleepy. Was half thinking of having a glass of wine later but still worried about symptoms getting worse as only on day 3.

I'm completing the diaries for the antiviral and long covid clinic (was do with long covid after infection 1, 15 months ago) hence the detail. Having to monitor things like BP due to issues encountered the first time.
Abraxan · 27/01/2022 21:22
@Abraxan yet they took my sons symptoms of headache and slight sore throat as his first day he completed online via email link and just ticked. Those boxes and thats the day they started from
Not the day he had positive LFT and PCR - will double check he filled form in correct
It's probably down partially to individual T&T people, and in my case the antiviral clinical team. They have to be as accurate as possible for the antiviral treatment, hence only using a PCR result, not even the LFT for that.

WarriorN · 28/01/2022 07:55

Think I'm day 4/5. Woken up feeling brighter though a faint background grog. Feels like my chest is starting to get better. But I know from yesterday that the afternoons are worse so we shall see.

Youngest who's on day 8 is still extremely positive, otherwise seems fit as a fiddle.

DontWantTheRivalry · 28/01/2022 08:32

On Day 0 I felt tired with aching muscles so I took an LFT which came back positive.

I didn’t the following day in bed just because I felt run down - I was ‘ill’ though.

Since that one day I’ve been fine. I’ve had a bit of a weak cough at night but I don’t feel any different than I normally do. My LFTs though have been persistently strong although today (Day 7) it is marginally lighter.

My husband and eldest child also had Covid at the same time.

My husband was hit hard with symptoms, really fatigued, breathless and the most horrendous cough, but he had negative LFTs on Days 5 and 6.

My eldest son is on Day 6, he still has really strong lines on his LFTs but he is completely well.

dazzlerdo · 28/01/2022 10:57

Day 8 today woke up with a little headache but apart from that feel ok. So far! See what this afternoon brings, that's when I usually go downhill.
My test this morning is still a strong positive

RenGreen · 28/01/2022 13:58

Day 4 or day 5 if counting day 1 as symptoms day. Am working but faltering …. Exhaustion starting to kick in. Two documents to get out then I’ll take a break. Swept the kitchen floor and cleaned the hob. V tired

OP posts:
WarriorN · 28/01/2022 14:26

Yes I'm finding the exhaustion kicks in at 2 pm

Changes17 · 28/01/2022 19:26

Double vaxxed and boosted. No-one else has it in the house.
Day 0 painful joints/muscles, felt a bit coldy tested strongly positive. Overnight, I was hot, had headaches.
Day 1 woke with headache, took ibruprofen. Felt well enough to work. Slept fine
Day 2 worked, felt generally OK, a bit tired later. Slept fine though took slightly longer to get to sleep (since I hadn't left my room all day!)
Day 3 started feeling a bit chesty and a bit coldy. Slept fine
Day 4 still feeling a bit more chesty, coldy, blocked nose, bit of a sore throat. Vaguely feel it might get a bit worse over the weekend.

Have been working, not got tonnes done though. Finding it quite hard to concentrate.

RenGreen · 28/01/2022 21:31

I’m feeling sneezy but a lot better. Fuzzy in the head this is my day 4 with Monday being 0. I did feel tired again about 3ish after working all day rested and then went and worked again - feels odd getting so tired. Could do with resting a few more days but not sure I’ll have that luxury

Day 5. Eldest DC has Covid woke us up about 530 - honestly think they’re fed up of isolating and full of beans!

I really wanted a good night’s sleep as DH is out tonight for his friend’s birthday and I’m finding I really flag about 2pm then later at 7/8 when I’ll be putting the kids to bed.

Been sneezing lots. First day I can test to see if I can come out of isolation on Monday. Think the sneezing means it’s looking unlikely!

RenGreen · 29/01/2022 07:17

PS I would prefer it if DH was home to put DC to bed/cook etc but hoping he’ll cook us tea before he goes out. As I just feel I’m not so tired anymore as pretty much been resting in between sitting at my desk.

I have a bad back.

The rest of my family and friends seem to have sailed through covid, eager to get out of the house as soon as negative. Im on day 3, i dont feel that ill but i have zero energy. Am literally just vegging on the sofa all day. Yesterday I managed to put a clothes wash on and hang it out. Today my biggest achievement is changing the bed clothes. Im starting to feel guilty for doing nothing.

buckeejit · 29/01/2022 19:02

@tumpymummy I'm day 5 & have no energy but refuse to feel guilty about doing nothing. Really wouldn't have the energy to change the bedding. I put a clean flat sheet between me & the duvet yesterday as a compromise.

I had hoped I would sail through doing nothing & feel better by day (-6. It I don't think that's going to happen. Seems strange that it's likely I will have all next week off work though 😬

Weredone · 29/01/2022 19:22

Just hopped on this thread as I’m on day 5 and 15 weeks pregnant. I felt a bit rough earlier in the week but today has been the worst day so far. My chest just doesn’t feel right, my throat is sore and feels full of mucus ? (sorry if tmi) and I have zero energy. I feel so guilty that I’ve done virtually nothing this week and the house is a state but I don’t have the energy, especially with a toddler to look after. I had a negative test today so I’ve told work I’d be in on Monday if I tested negative tomorrow but I’m now wondering if that’s a bad idea and I need longer.

Day 6 here & seems worse than yesterday. Just no energy & dizzy still. Weirdly I'm starting to think people will thing I'm faking feeling bad-feel myself like I should be over it now & want back to normal

RenGreen · 30/01/2022 18:54

@buckeejit feel the same - I haven’t done a lot today and still wanted to nap!

Yes I feel the same. So many have just had a bad cold. This is more like 'proper' flu which I've had twice before.

RenGreen · 31/01/2022 11:04

Feeling much brighter today than yesterday. I didn’t sleep long but think that’s possibly a good sign that I need to get some exercise spent an hour walking round my garden in circles this morning

OP posts:
WarriorN · 31/01/2022 11:21

Similar here though home schooling has induced the need to lie down for a nap!

RenGreen · 31/01/2022 12:04

Last day of homeschooling here! DC has been negative yesterday and hoping for today too so can send back tomorrow. In saying that I’m still going strong on the LFTs!
