Timeline of feeling rough?

RenGreen · 26/01/2022 13:05

Triple jabbed - prob started feeling unwell on Monday evening positive faint LFT yesterday. Covid in the house DH and eldest DC.

Came on last night too which is a double whammy! Headache is ok I’ve taken paracetamol had a dry cough last night.

Have worked this morning (but a phone based role) stressful job though. Have got into bed now to rest - moved my calls to 4pm

I feel like something is brewing. I was down as CEV (combination of health issues). So I’m a bit worried.

If I don’t feel rough immediately like now is this the worse it’s going to get?

I slept from 1030-130am then from 2am to 8am.

How is everyone today? I’m tired and bit of a headache slept well from midnight to 9am. Could have slept longer needed to get up to look after my eldest and crawl to desk. I guess I feel a little dizzy at points

I'm on day 7 now. Must say I feel a lot better than I did. Yesterday was the worst day for me. Today headache isn't to bad, just feeling tired not exhausted tired like I have been feeling just tired like I want to sleep. Still testing positive with a good clear line, so looks like no early isolation end for me

RenGreen · 27/01/2022 13:11

That’s good @dazzlerdo Monday was my day 0 I was expecting to feel much worse than I am. I really hope I just start getting better soon.

RenGreen · 27/01/2022 13:11

@LifePartyRing

I peaked at feeling worst about day 5/6/7 Lost sense of taste / smell about day 4.

Took a long time to feel right unfortunately

I'm not sure what day I'm on, day 3 since positive lft,, 4 since symptoms.

Thought I felt brighter this morning but Suddenly feeling exceptionally tired.

V hard with kids. And a preschooler who's recovered. Now resorting to him in bed with me watching ipad crap.

Barbie friends isn't conducive to napping.

Abraxan · 27/01/2022 13:58

@RenGreen

So would day 1 be when symptoms started?
Say symptoms start (or if no symptoms, day you have a positive test) is Day 0.

However, the hospital and T&T dismissed 'headache' as being a countable symptom for me, and used my test date instead.

Abraxan · 27/01/2022 14:23

I have to keep a diary for the research study thing I am doing, following the antiviral infusion.

I am CV (eligible for 4th vaccine) and eligible for the antiviral treatment. It's my second time having covid - first was October 2020 when I ended up in hospital, mainly due to the effect it had in my blood pressure. This time feels quite different, with some different symptoms.

I'm triple vaccinated and 4th vaccine was due mid February. 3rd vaccine was mid November.

Day 0: 20 January
⁃ am LFT: negative
⁃ Headache and felt warm, and ‘off’ in afternoon
⁃ Slightly raised BP reading and fast heart rate
⁃ Pm LFT - positive

Day 1: 21 January
⁃ PCR - positive
⁃ Headache (which nothing shifts), tired, head/sinus type cold symptoms
⁃ Breathlessness, tightness of chest, rapid heart rate (150+) on moving, oxygen levels fine on oximeter

Day 2: 22 January
⁃ feeling rubbish, like a very heavy head cold and all day headache, tired and achy, sleepy, mouth ulcers appearing
⁃ BP remaining stable now
⁃ Breathlessness, tightness of chest, rapid heart rate (140+) on moving, Oximeter - 95/96

Day 3: 23 January
⁃ As yesterday
⁃ feeling rubbish, like a very heavy head cold and all day headache, tired and achy, sleepy, more mouth ulcers
⁃ BP remaining stable now
⁃ Breathlessness, tightness of chest, rapid heart rate on moving; oximeter - about 95

Day 4: 24 January
⁃ No real change
⁃ Still feel rubbish

Day 5: 25 January
⁃ No real change
⁃ Very positive LFT
⁃ Antiviral infusion given
⁃ Incredibly tired, esp after the ‘exertion’ of going to hospital, walking to ward, etc; heart rate high (160+) and very breathless when walking to/from hospital from car park; oxygen levels dropped to 94 at hospital, but increased after some rest time before they did the infusion

Day 6: 26 January
⁃ Very positive LFT still
⁃ still tired and headache remains
⁃ Heart rate rises (150+) and breathlessness on moving

Day 7: 27 January
⁃ LFT is very faint positive this morning (antivirals kicking in??)
⁃ Headache and head/sinuses feel very foggy today, but also feel a bit ‘brighter’ in some ways; brain fog remains, mouth ulcers reducing
⁃ BP remaining stable
⁃ Still have pressure over chest, breathlessness and raised heart rate (140+) when I do anything; oximeter - 95-97

RenGreen · 27/01/2022 14:49

I can get anti vitals due to BMI on the study but issue is they don’t accept condom as protection as they don’t want to risk pregnancy

loveyouradvice · 27/01/2022 14:56

Please tell me you aren't serious RenGreen....

Why why why are you trying to work when you have Covid and are CEV?

The most important thing is to give your body plenty of rest, keep it hydrated and of course Vit D etc... but more than anything giving your body time and space to be ill and to put all it's energy into fighting it and recovering.

RenGreen · 27/01/2022 15:02

I’m self employed is the problem I am v tired though am back in bed now x

RenGreen · 27/01/2022 15:03

Hope you're feeling better @RenGreen definitely rest now so you can work more efficiently sooner.

@Abraxan what a comprehensive diary-thanks & hope you're feeling better soon 💐

I've done nothing again today, feel dizzy & tired still but not really sleepy. Was half thinking of having a glass of wine later but still worried about symptoms getting worse as only on day 3.

CovidCurious · 27/01/2022 17:47

Day 0 just swollen glands
Days 1-8 feeling pretty rough (exhausted, night sweats, elevated heart rate, muscle aches). Test positive on day 5.
Day 9 feeling ok
Days 10,11 feeling worse again
Day 12 tested negative. Felt OK
Day 13 feeling worse
Day 14 feeling ok
Days 15,16 feeling worse, awful night sweats back
Day 17 feeling OK
Days 18-21 feeling rough again
Days 22-24 feeling OK. Hurrah, think I've beaten it.
Days 25-29 feeling utterly grim again. As bad as at the start.
Day 30 feeling OK but a bit tired still
Days 31 - 33 (today) feeling fine. Please, God, let it have gone finally!!!

RenGreen · 27/01/2022 18:11

Wow @CovidCurious wonder if you were one of the few to be infected by Delta! That sounds grim!!

Thanks @buckeejit not sure I would risk wine!

Im day 4 and not really had much in way of symptoms just tired and fuzzy head , day 5 tom so i can do a lft to see if i can head towards coming out
Hopefully i can As I haven't tested positive once on a LFT yet even yesterday only via pcr
Ds is day 8 and still testing a strong positive on a lFT was a very very faint positive when we first spotted
I guess im not out of the woods just yet
Altbough i did have a bad headache the weds before so maybe that was actually the start of it ?

urghrtypical · 27/01/2022 18:37

Hey op, Monday was my day 0 (felt off in the evening), full symptoms on Tuesday and positive test on Wednesday. I have heart issues and am pregnant. I'm now left with heavy cold symptoms and am exhausted- went back to bed this morning and slept past midday. One of my worse symptoms was a horrendous headache which took about 48 hours to shift.
I'v just done a little housework (DC kindly left a load of crumbs etc on the floor) but now back to sitting up in bed.

urghrtypical · 27/01/2022 18:38

Should add my LFT with just a nose swab were negative, really strong positive when I used one with a throat swab.

worriedatthemoment · 27/01/2022 18:40

@Abraxan yet they took my sons symptoms of headache and slight sore throat as his first day he completed online via email link and just ticked. Those boxes and thats the day they started from
Not the day he had positive LFT and PCR - will double check he filled form in correct

buckeejit · 27/01/2022 18:55

I went down half a flight of stairs & feel tired again. My hearing has strangely gone awful-my ears feel like they're stuffed with cotton wool.

CovidCurious · 27/01/2022 18:56

@RenGreen I didn't lose sense of smell or taste and I didn't have a temperature, so I'm leaning more towards Omicron, as I think that features night sweats and stomach issues (which I also had). I wasn't expecting it to be quite this grim, given I am fully jabbed and boosted.

PicpoulDeMeNay · 27/01/2022 19:29

@Greenandcabbagelooking

Day 0 - sore throat, out it down to excessive heating at my ILs

Day 1 - same. Negative LFT test. Very tired by end of the day, put it down to a full week of work and a weekend away. Negative

Day 2 - Woke up overnight with fever, body aches, headache, sore throat. Negative LFT.

Day 3 - As Day 2, with added cough. Finally get a positive LFT.

Day 4 - Now headache, cough, sneezy and snotty. Also feel exhausted.

Day 5 - as Day 4. Still testing positive.

I've double vaccinated and boosted.

I’m pretty similar to you too.

Sunday evening - bit of a sore throat but felt fine

Monday - sore throat and stuffy nose, felt fine, negative LFT

Monday night - developed temperature of 38.4 during the night

Tuesday - temp remained, ‘cold’ properly broke, tested positive on LFT, but was feeling ok-ish. Because of temperature being a symptom requiring PCR, went for PCR

Wednesday 5am confirmed positive! Very runny nose, sneezing, slight tickly cough, temp still around 38. Very tired

Today - temp still up and down, still runny nose and stuffy sinuses, slight cough, absolutely exhausted. Went back to bed for an hour this morning, slept again an hour before lunch, and again this afternoon for an hour.

Can do the day 5 LFT on Saturday but as temp is up and down not holding out much hope.

Am double jabbed and boosted. In all honesty, 2 years ago I’d have just said nasty cold, because that’s really what it’s manifested as.

On the plus side, am starving, and can still smell and taste, as evidenced by thoroughly enjoying half a chocolate orange earlier Grin

RenGreen · 27/01/2022 19:36

I eating chocolate orange too @PicpoulDeMeNay!! And @CovidCurious I’ve had nights sweats too and those started on Sunday night. I got very tired Monday and sore throat Monday evening, Tuesday I tested for the first time.

Today been in and out of bed but eaten well and I can deffo taste everything.

This is all really useful, thankyou as we have Covid-19 in the household for the first time. DD17 had it first, tested psoitive Thurs 20th. For 5 days she didn't really feel ill, just a bit of a cold. Day 5 and 6 tested negative so went out yesterday, day 7. Today she is back in bed feeling worse than before, wiped out and nauseous, so I guess she overdid it too quickly. Good job I didn't let her go for a sleepover at her friend's house like she wanted to. My main concern is that she also has an ingrown toenail that to me looks infected, so cant tell if the feeling ill is from her toe infection or the Covid. Now her dad and I also have Covid-19 but not feeling too bad.
