Single parent here.

DD unwell and tested positive on Monday.

No way of isolating from her at home, so I've been caring for/comforting her as normal.

I've tested negative everyday so far on a LFT...

Surely if I was going to get it, I would have got it by now?

What's been other people's experiences?

TIA

@LifesTooShortYOLO

Are there anyone else still waiting to see if they test positive? DS tested positive on Tuesday and today is day 5 and me and OH still negative. Is there hope we have not caught it? Or is it likely we may still be positive?
It's now been 15 days since DS tested positive and no one else in the household got it. We tested every day, made no attempts to isolate from DS and his sister shared his drinking bottle a few times and we still all somehow got away with it. So there is hope!

DS tested negative day 5/6 and apart from a slight headache at the beginning was fine.

Ah that's good to hear thank you!
It's been 8 days now since DD tested positive and me and DH still negative as of today 😬 I don't know if I'm over thinking it or I have a dry throat 😂

DS on day 12, he is still not 100% still has sore throat and his temp randomly went up to 37.8 today, face went red then temp back down again.

I've tested negative all the way through, DH on day 10 today. A few times I thought I had it as I was feeling off but turned out negative.

We have not been socially distancing but am freezing as windows and doors open

I was wondering how long it would take to test positive. It seems very mixed. My dd tested positive on Saturday. I find it hard to believe that noone will catch it but so far, Ive been negative and so has my other dd, ds and dh. Not isolating from her.

It's now 12 days since my daughter tested positive, she's back at school now. I didn't isolate from her, she even slept in my bed and I did and have remained negative.

Thought I'd update!
17 days since she tested positive. And now I'm positive. Feel rough. A week since she tested negative. It's this from her or a completely different infection.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/02/2022 09:41

Oh dear.
No hope for me then!
It may be from someone else though.

Highly unlikely it's from your DS this far down the line especially if she tested negative.
