How did you feel after the booster? I've been putting it off because I'm scared but I know to travel again I'm going to have to get it done

Even vulnerable relatives understand my concern so I can't say comments like that help to be honest!

The palpations have gone now but lingered quite a while - the fever and the rest doesn't really worry me it was simply that aspect I am not keen to repeat. I agree some posters are correct and maybe a chat with a GP is needed but I've been trying to not cause hassle so thought I would see here what others experienced

I've had 4.
1 - AstraZeneca no side effects
2 - AstraZeneca no side effects
3 - AstraZeneca no side effects
4 - Moderna very slight achey arm

I think if OP's reaction to Moderna is so strong then guilt tripping her into having booster to 'protect the vulnerable' isn't helpful.[/quote]
Sorry but it is not guilt tripping anyone, these are the facts, now you might fly on an Airbus and believe you would be able to design a better aeroplane but i don't.
Medical science i leave to the experts, these vaccines have been in use for 18months, i think by now, we'd know if there were serious side effects.

Or do you think we were better off 12 months ago?

People need to stop being parasites, living off the actions of others and get vaccinated.

I felt extremely achy, fluey after two AZ jabs.
Was worried about moderna but didn't even have the sore arm!

MuMmaOf3littles · 30/12/2021 23:46

Pfizer jab 1 - headache for 2 days
Pfizer jab 2 - sore arm
Moderna booster (I had it 3 days ago) another sore arm but I've felt absolutely fine otherwise

CobraChicken · 30/12/2021 23:55

@BirdIsland

I had 2 x Moderna, then Moderna booster. Felt awful after the second, but absolutely fine after the booster - painful armpit but that's it. The Moderna booster is a half dose so you hopefully won't have the same side effects as the second vaccine.
Same here.

I was feverish (~40C) and headachy and my arm absolutely killed after Moderna dose #2, but I had the booster a day and a half ago and I just have a sore arm if I lift it up, accidentally knock it or roll over onto it in bed, but it's not hurting at all when I'm not doing anything with/to it.

I'm a little bit tired, but that's most likely down to a crappy night's sleep because I kept rolling onto the bad arm.

No headache and no raised temperature at all this time.

@Alexandra2001 I AM vaccinated which I only did to protect others. I am, however, terrified of the booster having taken 4 months to recover from the vaccines. I don't think that's an unfair fear. I understand your point of view and its easy to have if you haven't had my experience

I haven't read the whole thread but both my sister and BIL has first 2 moderna and had pretty bad reactions for a week, they both had Pfizer boosters and no reactions
