My 9 year old has a sky high temperature and is really unwell. We are all positive but my husband and I have relatively mild symptoms. Worried about DS1. Doing lots of rest, fluids and calpol. Any other tips?

I'm glad to hear he is doing better. My DD has been vomiting too and yes, always has with a fever. She is 9 too. My eldest is 14. They are starting to feel better but still spend most of the day asleep. This time it really seems to be hitting the DC much worse than before. Hope you are on the mend soon too.

Pleased he’s a bit better. Hope you feel better soon too

Vomiting does seem to be a symptom with omicron.

Glad he’s a bit better now. All the best for you too.

Glad he's a wee bit better - I hope you manage to look after yourself too and get some rest.

You'll get through this, a few years ago we all had swine flu and ds (4) was vvvv poorly and we all felt horrendous and had a newborn too. At the time it felt never ending but it was only a week or so in retrospect.

My 8 year old was exactly the same, very high fever and blinding headache. It was during Delta, peak not Omicron interestingly. I was very worried the first night worrying about meningitis. There was some vomiting too, but he always tend to vomit when his temp is very high. In his case, he was really bad for 2 days but then was totally fine, so hopefully the same for yours.

Oh OP I'm so glad he's a bit better. What a horrible thing to go through for him. He sounds absolutely lovely, as do you. I'm hoping you both recover very quickly. Flowers

Sending lots of love to you too. My son is a big strapping teenager and I've been sick with Covid. I'm so worried he's going to catch it so as a mother I can "hear" your concern. Hoping he makes a quick recovery x
