Dizzy and weak

I wonder if anyone can help me. I feel so dizzy and weak. I was positive for covid about 12 days ago now. Didn’t have many symptoms apart from dizziness and some strange mental health phenomena. Today I’m feeling so bad that I’ve had to take myself to bed and leave the children in charge of the house. I’m feeling very strange. Very worried too.

So glad you got home safe from the hospital. Hope you are feeling a bit better tonight. I have still got weakness and dizziness although the cold symptoms have lessened. I'm no worse though so fingers crossed for us all 🤞[/quote]
Thank you so much. I was feeling better this morning but then in the afternoon the dizziness came back and right now my legs feel so weak. It’s all odd because I’ve had no cold or flu symptoms. It’s so hard to describe. I hope you continue to recover well too. The dr said this has a weird effect on the body and it’s different for different people.

In the early days I couldn't really do cooking or anything in the house. I ordered in oven meals. My husband came out of hospital having been admitted for Covid pneumonia and had to take over as I was so unwell. Once I could manage more everything had to be done sitting down as standing for long periods or bending down were out of the question. It got better over time.

Is there anyone that could do an online shop for you if you can't manage it or deliver some items that would be easy to sort? Also could your eldest follow instructions to put food on if you sat supervising?

@Choconuttolata thank you. It sounds like you and your husband were seriously ill. I feel like I have a bit more energy now. I’m actually sitting down and peeling veg for dinner.
I have actually been doing some ready meals and trying to get my eldest to help out with putting things in the oven. I have enough food for a few days so that should be fine. It’s just odd because I haven’t got symptoms associated with covid virus. All very strange. I’m going to try to rest. I have another 4 days when I can take it easy.

The guide on this link has some good vestibular exercises to get you back moving more once ready. Try not to do too much too soon if very fatigued, it can tip the balance towards Long Covid as I learnt the hard way. Link on pacing in recovery in other link below.

But I keep thinking I haven’t really had symptoms because there was no cough or cold. I did hear some strange noises with my breathing though.

In the past, my ear/dizziness symptoms have often followed a mild cold but not always. I've sometimes just been hit out of the blue and just woke up dizzy & weird. It was often when I was run down in general. The vague dizziness set me on edge constantly which led to me feeling quite anxious at times as well as having vivid dreams. I've felt the same weirdness with Covid this week albeit not as bad. My initial covid cold symptoms have resolved but I still have this vague dizziness and jitteryness left. I'm hoping it will resolve soon like it usually does. Hope yours does too 🤞

@dinkydoodah thank you for this it’s interesting. A very odd feeling isn’t it?

I slept very well last night and woke feeling a bit better at 11am which is unheard of for me. I'm on Day 6 so took LFT and its still a very strong positive 😭. Gutted but I still don't feel 100% so I guess it's to be expected. Fuzzy head, sinus pressure and uneasy feeling still there albeit to a lesser degree.

I had very strong positives on days 6,7,8 and 9 so I still wore masks in the house. I haven’t tested since because I read that it’s not advised now. I stopped wearing masks at home on day 11 or 12. The dizziness got worse for me on day 12 and day 13 which is why I went to A&E. The rules about isolating changed as I was on day 5 so I was really happy thinking I’d be out and shopping in a couple of days but my LFs were strong positives. The symptoms were very strange. I hope you feel better soon.
