Two days of positive lft

As the title says, I have had two lft tests over two days, waiting now for pcr result. My questions are:

1 what is the chance my pcr is negative

2 if pcr is negative, will it cancel out the isolation the lft has started?

3 How long has your postal test turnaround been? Mine is show as delivered at 9am this morning.

Very unlikely that it will be negative I'm afraid. But if it is you can stop isolating.

I did a postal test and the results came through 37 hours after I posted them. Good luck x

I'm very interested to know myself. DH took two lateral flows yesterday which were both positive.
Now awaiting PCR results although I'm resigned to the fact that he must have covid.
The waiting is driving me mad!

Highly unlikely sorry that it will come back negative. I did two a day apart a works one and one because I an cev and they both came back within 2 days .The cev one was next day .I have Just come out the other side of what I would describe as what felt like a really evil flu . All family have it now I am still showing positive. Hope you feel better soon.

Pcr is negative

False negatives are really unlikely in lfts. Please continue to isolate

I've had three positive LFTs and two negative PCRs

No idea what to make of that 🤷‍♀️

Has your dh heard back yet?

Lateral flow was feint yesterday and darker today, I took pcr yesterday, I will be taking another lateral flow tomorrow and booking another pcr if I need too, I have nowhere to go anyway.

DH was positive sadly thanks for asking. Seems inevitable I'll get it now.

@TikTokBitches have u got a pic of your positive test I've had two very thin faint bones over 10 days and just curious?

Definitely faint, but can see it. Are you unwell? I've been ill pretty much the whole of December but never even had a hint of a line till yesterday.

I've had two jabs and a booster

Not even 5 minutes

My partner had a positive LFT for 9 days with no symptoms until day 6 (slight sore throat). Had 3 PCRs during this time. All negative. We carried on with Christmas as normal.

I have booked another pcr for tomorrow, if negative I'll be going back to normal from Monday (I have no plans till then anyway and it will be a week from the first positive)

Also I have a cough, fatigue and muscle aches.

Is there something wrong with the tests ? Lots of people (including me) have had positive lft’s but negative pcr.

What lfts are you using? Mine are the original nose and throat swab ones.
