Does this sound like Covid?

DH has practically lost his voice. Throat doesn’t really hurt but he’s just so croaky. Very slightly snotty but only a little. He feels fine otherwise. He’s done a PCR but I’m just so panicky that it’ll be positive and mess up Christmas - anybody else had these symptoms and it’s not turned out to be Covid?

I think that you are super infectious before the LFT will probably show it.
I’m my (limited) experience of my dd just having Covid she was ill for a few days,then positive LFT for about 4 days then straight to neg on day 6 and 7! Still coughing away etc.

The whole thing with tests is strange.

It’s weird isn’t it. DH didn’t bother testing on day 6 because he felt at his worst - day 7 today, maybe he should test?
