Do you know many who got covid since having third booster?

Hi, Just been wondering.....the stats say that about 70% chance not getting covid or symptomless once had booster (after 2 weeks ). Wondered if many still succumbed to covid despite having the booster?

1 person, it's also the second time she's had Covid.

Oh that's hard going for this person. I know people who had covid twice despite being double jabbed but can't seem to pick up on the situation after the booster. I hope this person didn't have it too badly.

Have you seen the threads with all the data and statistics? If anyone knows I bet the knowledgeable posters on there will have a link to the statistics

As the boosters are fairly new there might not have been time yet to analyse the data yet though.

trying29 · 21/12/2021 18:32

Me! I’m boosted and I had it in may and I just tested positive today

Rosieparkerss · 21/12/2021 18:32

I have covid, had booster a week ago so probably did not have time to work.

TenoringBehind · 21/12/2021 18:32

Yes, lots of people now. Most felt unwell for a day or two then fine.

VikingOnTheFridge · 21/12/2021 18:33

Two, mild though.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 21/12/2021 18:34

@Cet73 she's not suffering badly luckily but she's gutted because both times she has had it at Christmas so has been in isolation on Christmas day 2 years running!

RedToothBrush · 21/12/2021 18:34

The 2 i know are both HCPs and were boosted in October.

alphabiggins · 21/12/2021 18:36

Yep me. I am a HCP and was boosted in September

KirstenBlest · 21/12/2021 18:37

I know people who had it after 2 jabs. Before omicron. They had flu-like symptoms - proper flu not man-flu

Yeah, me! Tested positive today. Booster was in October. So far, so mild.

Cet73 · 21/12/2021 18:40

That's quite a lot then.....

Thanks for replies.

I have two teenagers and so far avoided covid BUT instead my 14 year old had tonsillitis recurrently over last 6 weeks and now diagnosed with glandular fever. Def want keep covid away from her but what will be will be.

My brother thinks that the booster makes you more susceptible to it. Honestly give up.

CremeEggThief · 21/12/2021 18:43

Very possibly me, but it's also possible I already had it at my booster appointment on the 5th. Tested positive on the 10th.

TooManyPlatesInMotion · 21/12/2021 18:43

I know 3 people, yes. Though all 3 have been fine - slight colds. Guess that's the vaccines doing their jobs.

VicSynix · 21/12/2021 18:45

I know someone who had booster in October and Covid in November, pre Omicron. He was unwell for a week (so like mild flu) and perfectly fine after that.

Delatron · 21/12/2021 18:46

Yes 3 people from a super spreader party. The boostered had milder symptoms and were better quicker. Gutted that my booster was due the day after I tested positive.

Ghostlyglow · 21/12/2021 18:59

Me! I've got it now. In isolation until after Christmas.

EducatingArti · 21/12/2021 19:03

Me too. Positive PCR that I did on Saturday. Very mild symptoms and I've had way worse colds!

Lacedwithgrace · 21/12/2021 19:09

I didn't know anyone who had covid before vaccines were introduced, and now everyone I know who has had it had at least 2 jabs and a booster. One neighbour who has had a 3rd jab and is waiting for her booster has it currently.

Silverchamber · 21/12/2021 19:09

I got the booster last Tuesday. I've just been for a PCR after waking up with symptoms and a positive lat flow.

MrsMigginsEggNogShoppe · 21/12/2021 19:26

A friend. Apparently felt like a cold and she lost her taste and smell. Absolutely fine now.

alongwayhome · 21/12/2021 19:28

DH did but he picked up covid 4 days after the booster, so it may not have been working fully - his covid was extremely mild though.
