No explanation needed. Just a yes or no.

For me it's a hard NO.

Perhaps they should sort the NHS instead of locking down to try and save it! Even before Covid the NHS was at risk most winters due to flu etc.
I completely agree with the need for much more funding for the NHS. However, even countries with very effective and well-funded healthcare systems (the Netherlands, Denmark) are bringing in lockdowns. The Dutch healthcare system is regularly ranked as one of the best in the world and is still considered at risk from the pressures of Omicron.

Yes

Cyw2018 · 19/12/2021 08:48

No, i won't be "bubbling" again no matter what drakeford or Boris says. Fortunately my DH, all my closest friends and my in laws are all of the same opinion.

Saying that I have only needed a covid passport once, ever, so my life is hardly rock n roll Confused

HermioneWeasley · 19/12/2021 08:48

Telegraph are reporting today that they are considering a Christmas lock down

Yes

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 19/12/2021 08:51

Yes. DH is a doctor and they are shitting themselves at the hospital and having to cancel surgeries as the volume of patients being admitted is going through the roof. They also have reduced staff numbers due to illness as well😢

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 19/12/2021 08:52

Yes. Because if everything’s shut there’s not a lot I can do is there. And there is a huge possibility of dmum having chemo in the new year so I’d stay away to protect her. However if the dc wanted to meet up with their friends I wouldn’t stop them either.

Toadsinholes · 19/12/2021 08:52

No. When does it end? I didn’t comply with the last one either in that I saw friends & family. Mental health is more important to me & my children than spreading a virus I have never had.

natrew · 19/12/2021 08:52

Yes, because I want to keep schools open, and that means having enough teaching staff covid free.

So about evenly split.

paranoidnamechanger · 19/12/2021 08:53

Hell no.

luckylavender · 19/12/2021 08:53

@trappedsincesundaymorn - you're deliberately twisting the intention of my words. My anger is directed at people who feel the rules are not for them. The same people who pretend to be mask exempt because somehow wearing a mask is an assault on their liberties. Selfish self serving people who are in the end prolonging it for all of us. No one wants this.

It's really frightening when people have such selfish attitudes and can't see the bigger picture.

My friend works in paeds and they are seeing more children being admitted with covid at the moment.

Anyone who doesn't want to comply; are you happy for you children to be waiting in a long queue for medical assistance or being unable to access adequate care?

I am so sad to hear this but not surprised.

The level of selfishness is astonishing on this thread alone.

I too will comply. Absolutely.

Abraxan · 19/12/2021 08:57

Christmas and family - no, if they are still up for it
After Christmas - probably, though for much of it they'd be no real choice in the matter. Would continue to see some key people.

Delatron · 19/12/2021 08:58

No

TangoWhiskyAlphaTango · 19/12/2021 09:01

This is not a simple answer for me. NHS nurse (part of a large community team that prevents hospital admissions). I stay at my parents when I am working as I have long shifts and a very long commute. DH and I also do not live together. So if we can bubble I have to choose staying at my folks or seeing my dh.

BingBongToTheMoon · 19/12/2021 09:02

Yes. Without a second though.

PeonyRose80 · 19/12/2021 09:02

Yes, even though I don’t agree with the government and everything they have done. I have seen my beautiful best friend mentally breakdown as a nurse due to covid and want this to end for her.
