Anyone awaiting PCR results

Currently awaiting results of a pcr, negative antigen but feel awful. Slight headache, dry cough and just feel tired and flat. I'm strangely craving savoury pastries right now and can't get them. It would mean isolation for all of us on Christmas Day. Anyone else?

Finally got my result this morning after 84 hours!
Positive but I guessed it might be.

Awcw1234 · 19/12/2021 10:58

50 hours and counting…

2toastornot2toast · 19/12/2021 11:17

Yep awaiting results. 4 positive children in my class and 1 TA its special needs so very close contact. Feeling aches and pain but had booster yesterday.

HarrisMcCoo · 19/12/2021 12:14

Just received the email. Took 26 hours to get results. Negative, thankfully.

BlackInk · 19/12/2021 14:46

It was about 24 hours here – drive-through in Gloucestershire.

Negative for DD thankfully, although DS now has fever/headache/sore throat :( so have ordered a postal PCR for him as he's not well enough to get out of bed without throwing up. He had Covid in October though so I'm presuming this can't be it again and he's most likely got whatever DD had.

I am so SICK of this...

todayistheday11 · 19/12/2021 15:23

Test posted lunch time Thursday, negative LTF (tested following DS positive 2 weeks ago) chased with track and trace been told it has been logged so have to wait a further 72 hours before changing again really stuck luckily I can WFH but could really do with a change of scenery...

UntamedShrew · 19/12/2021 15:28

Also enduring a tense wait here. All feels like Groundhog Day. Shall we just move a Christmas to warmer time of year next time?

bananar · 19/12/2021 15:59

48 hours and feeling fed up now waiting

Awcw1234 · 19/12/2021 16:08

StationaryMagpie · 19/12/2021 16:12

Yep we're the same.

Its the longest I've ever had to wait, we've always had a result within 24ish hours (I did have one test come back within 8 hours before)

We've already been isolating for 4 days and we had to order a postal test as there were no appointments at any of the local test centres.

VittysCardigan · 19/12/2021 16:54

29 hours here. OH tested at the same time had his back in under 24 hours. His was positive

Awcw1234 · 19/12/2021 19:25

Finally got mine. 58 hours. Negative.

Crunchymum · 19/12/2021 20:43

Just had an email and a text at the same time. Had to be the results right?

Nope it was Next offering me my sale slot.

HURRY UP ALREADY

Crunchymum · 20/12/2021 07:38

Finally had a result. Negative.

It's very odd as text came at 6am (so 60 hours approx) but email came at 22:13 last night. Except it didn't as I was up until after midnight and I was obviously checking my phone for emails and texts. Most odd.

But the result is the most important thing here.

I had this with exactly the same times for my email and text. I'm negative
StationaryMagpie · 20/12/2021 10:53

same here, email last night, texts filtered through this morning. All negative thank god. I'm still sticking to the 7 days LFT testing though, just in case.
