Hi

Had it yesterday AM, felt ill in the night as expected, but despite paracetamol I still feel really awful.

How long did it last for you? Finding it hard with two under fives!

I know it’s better than covid etc so no lectures on that thanks as I am far from in the mood!

Two days then felt ok. Felt really rough first day then pretty grotty for one day.

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 15/12/2021 22:17

Same as you I felt ill overnight then rough as the next day, all day.
Another day on and I'm fine now, bar a bit of tiredness earlier.

Iamanunsafebuilding · 15/12/2021 22:20

Moderna booster Sunday morning and I had a sore arm on Monday but that went after I went to the gym Monday night! No other side effects at all (my first 2 jabs were AZ)

RestingStitchFace · 15/12/2021 22:21

About a day and a half....

BorisBooster · 15/12/2021 22:22

A very sore arm for 48 hrs. The next evening I went to bed early with headaches and chills but felt reasonable ok next day

RainbowBabyForChristmasPlease · 15/12/2021 22:25

Had mine on Saturday. Arm stung after I'd had it and shortly afterwards my head, face, neck, chest and arms itched like crazy and the sight of the injection was slightly swollen. Sunday my arm ached like mad had swollen more and was rock hard. Spent the day with a hot water bottle on it and massaging it. Monday woke up with an awful headache and painful arm. Tempted to phone in sick but decided against it and to be honest the more I used my arm the less it hurt. I definitely didn't react anywhere near as bad as I did with the first AZ jab that one floored me for a few days.

FictionalCharacter · 15/12/2021 22:28

2 days feeling crap, OK after that

AnFiaRuaNua · 15/12/2021 22:29

On the hse website it says side effects between 8 and 12 hours later and it was nearly 12 hours ago now, so maybe ive escaped feeling rough this time 🙏

ConfusedDotty · 15/12/2021 22:41

Had mine at 9am, I was fine all day until about 20 hours after. I threw up for about 3 hours. I was bed bound for 24 hrs and ill for a full day after that.

I had 2 astrazenica beforehand with no side effects.

I am definitely not doing anymore jabs.

I had covid after being double jabbed but the booster was worse than covid itself.

WhatsTheEffingPoint · 15/12/2021 22:42

Had it 12.30 yesterday. Arm felt sore overnight, woke up this morning and the injection site is swollen. Been ok during the day, got home from work had a shower and the injection area is still swollen, red and painful, now I've come over really tired, headachy and feeling freezing cold! Now in bed with some paracetamol and codeine.

Gruffalogrinch · 15/12/2021 22:42

First two jabs AZ, rough for 24 hours after both. Moderna booster last Saturday - nothing but sore arm.

Pyracanth · 15/12/2021 22:43

Had it Saturday morning, started feeling Ill that evening, am feeling back to normal only this afternoon.

SquigglePigs · 15/12/2021 22:58

I had Pfizer as a booster so not much help but DH had Moderna - he wasn't too bad but said all his joints ached and he was very tired for about 2 days (jab Weds lunchtime, felt rubbish Thurs and Fri, better on Saturday).

Hope you feel better soon OP.

Notoironing · 15/12/2021 23:03

I started feeling shivery and achy 12 hours after and continued feeling exhausted with bad headache and achy occasionally sweaty for another day. Then better. Felt bad enough to order a home PCR test which I will return but feel confident given the timings it was just the jab.

HeadPain · 16/12/2021 00:07

Just a sore/dead arm so far, had it yesterday evening.

Notoironing · 16/12/2021 00:22

Ok feeling rubbish again headache and diarrhoea and nausea so maybe it’s more like 36-48 hours for me

zen1 · 16/12/2021 00:26

Had it at 10.15 this morning. So far just a sore arm. With the first AZ shot, I had a bad headache and flu-like symptoms with a lot of fatigue and stayed in bed the following day as had zero energy.

BertieBob · 16/12/2021 00:29

I'm only posting this for balance as I'd hear me so many horror stories myself. I had Moderna last week. I had a sore arm for 2 days and no other symptoms. DH was exactly the same and he had a bad reaction to his first AZ jab, so we were expecting the worse. Both fine and back and work the next day.

MerchSwyddEfrog · 16/12/2021 09:27

I had mine last Wednesday and still feel unwell now. I had a very sore arm and aches pain with shivering to start off with. Then my armpit started to swell and have had really bad pain there ever since. I’ve had a red, warm rash at the injection site which the doctor thought was an infection. I’ve been taking antibiotics since and the rash has cleared and the swelling in my armpit is reducing. I’ve still got pain in my armpit which is running down my arm.
I had a bad reaction with the AstraZeneca too so wondering if I’m allergic to Covid!

tintodeverano2 · 16/12/2021 09:29

My partner was fine, a bit achy but nothing paracetamol couldn't solve. I, on the other hand, felt like poo for 3 or 4 days.

FenceSplinters · 16/12/2021 21:15

I had it yesterday and felt fine for 24 hours. Now I feel terrible. I can barely lift my arm because of a swollen gland. That will make writing on the board interesting at work tomorrow.

Gettingonabitnow · 16/12/2021 21:21

Thanks everyone. I’m now 2.5 days later and feeling better although cracking headache and hot itchy red arm. 👍🏻

Had mine yesterday afternoon. Achy arm almost immediately, but was fine the rest of the evening. Woke up with a bit of a headache and have then gone onto the chills, and feeling a bit achy and queasy. All low level though, nothing that a pain killer hasn't fixed. Hopefully will be gone by tomorrow.

tulippa · 16/12/2021 21:32

Had mine on Saturday. Very painful arm and very tired all of Sunday. Fine on Monday.

beentoldcomputersaysno · 16/12/2021 21:36

OP I've not rtft. I was fine until about 24 hours after when I felt feverish, with temperature, headache, achy. I had swelling/lump above my collarbone (apparently there are lymph nodes there). Felt floored for a couple of days and lump took about 5 days to go. Temperature/fever only lasted one night.
