Hi

Had it yesterday AM, felt ill in the night as expected, but despite paracetamol I still feel really awful.

How long did it last for you? Finding it hard with two under fives!

I know it’s better than covid etc so no lectures on that thanks as I am far from in the mood!

I felt really ill for 24 hours after having my moderna booster. I couldn't do anything at all.

MaryChristmouse · 15/12/2021 18:47

Had my booster yesterday morning, felt ok till about 5pm then chills, muscle aches, fatigue, nausea, temperature, v sore arm etc from then onwards- had to call in sick for work today which I never do! Am still feeling dreadful now almost 36h later. Hoping a good nights sleep will help knock it on the head.

Glittertwins · 15/12/2021 18:48

More of a delayed reaction than after the first AZ one.
Jab was around midday, sore arm but at least had full rotational movement unlike DH. Both freezing cold by the time we went to bed and couldn't get warm so had big fleecy dressing gown on as well. Still felt ropey the following day with chills coming and going and tired. DH was worse however Sunday morning we were perfectly okay with no sign of anything. I'll take 24 hours of mild discomfort over having covid.

Had mine at 3pm Friday, very sore arm straight away. Flu like symptoms started at 3am Saturday. Felt rotten all day Saturday and perfectly normal from Sunday morning. Paracetamol helped loads.

Rosiestraws · 15/12/2021 19:00

I had mine about 3pm yesterday and by going to bed I was feeling a bit headachey/rough. Arm sore of course.

Woke up around 4am with an awful headache, really headcoldy feeling and super painful arm (think I'd slept on it). Also quite hot and bothered - presumably had a temp. Couldnt sleep for ages but by 6am I took 2 paracetemol around 6am and got back to sleep.

Called in sick today and still feeling headachey and very lethargic (went back to sleep 9.30-11.30) but it seems much better than in the middle of the night. Arm sore but again more like normal.

Hoping to feel much better by tomorrow!

mojitomojito · 15/12/2021 19:01

Just one day. Had mine Monday lunchtime. Was rough as until this morning. Now it's just my arm hurting.

itsgettingwierd · 15/12/2021 19:05

I had a very sore arm.

Developed a really light mild headache 24 hours later that lasted 5 days. Annoying rather than painful.

However I'd also had a really stressful few days and so can't pinpoint it as a side effect form the jab?

AnFiaRuaNua · 15/12/2021 19:10

Had mine at 10vam so i thouught id be feeling it by now but im ok. 🤞
I had the janssen in june and pfizer booster.

They're not matching original vaccination to booster here (ireland)

PrincessConsuelaBananahamm0ck · 15/12/2021 19:24

Was fine after 1st Moderna. Slightly sore arm the next day. 2nd dose, arm started to hurt within an hour. Woke up at 3am high temp, achey, sweating. Spent whole of that day laying in bed mainly sleeping (and I HATE laying in bed so very unusual for me), didn't even have energy to watch TV. Felt awful. Was better the next day, fully recovered by day three. Got my booster tomorrow, dunno what vaccine I'll get, but already slightly dreading the possible illness! But.....would rather that than actual covid, so bring it on!

tootiredtospeak · 15/12/2021 19:24

Had mine yesterday had a shock when it said spikevax thought I was having some weird experimental drug. Arm is still sorry and feeling a bit achy and tired.

WhatsWrongWithMyUsername · 15/12/2021 19:26

Oh no, got mine booked for 23 Dec! Better make sure I’m ready for Christmas early just in case.

DollyParton2 · 15/12/2021 20:35

Had mine Monday- hit me Tuesday on waking up- just more groggy/ tired than normal. But I’ve been ratty as hell since then!! So so cranky, no idea if it’s the booster or just life in general causing that…

Redcrayons · 15/12/2021 20:37

Just one day. My arm is still a bit sore but other than that I’m fine.

N0tfinished · 15/12/2021 20:48

Had jab Friday evening, started feeling sick about 12 hours after. Get bad for about 10 hours I'd say. I did feel really rotten- high temp, sore joints etc. but right as rain next morning

lljkk · 15/12/2021 21:05

DS & DH each had one today, will update if they start to feel anything but fine.

Big DS had 2xModerna in summer... most my American contacts had Moderna originally for double jab; they never mention any side effects at all.

monkeyblonde · 15/12/2021 21:07

Not sure as 48 hours later tested positive on a PCR and felt dreadfulHmmHmm

rc22 · 15/12/2021 21:26

I had a moderna booster yesterday. My arm really hurts and today I felt quite shivery but strangely the shivers seemed to sort of radiate from the injection site! Also feel tired and headachy. I had no side effects with my first two astra zeneca vaccines.

ArblemarzipanTFruitcake · 15/12/2021 21:26

36 hours.

ssd · 15/12/2021 21:27

Hi, i was fine apart from a sore arm.
Hope you feel better soon @Gettingonabitnow

Lunaballoon · 15/12/2021 21:29

Felt a bit fluey and sore arm for about 24 hours.

OneOfTheGrundys · 15/12/2021 21:32

2 days off work for me feeling dog rough. Third ok though. And it was worth it!
DH/DM no probs at all. Bit tired, that was it.

Sewaccidentprone · 15/12/2021 21:37

Nearly 3 days

Crunchymum · 15/12/2021 21:38

Had it 2pm Monday. Felt normal upon waking today (so felt rough for a day and a half)

Singalongsingsong · 15/12/2021 21:39

DH had moderna booster, no side effects.

H1Drangea · 15/12/2021 21:40

Very sore arm , then felt weepy and wobbly for a couple of days
Could have worked , if I’d had too , but had booked some days off just in case
