I haven’t seen this advertised anywhere though and dh hasn’t been contacted.

I was never classed as CEV but I am immunosuppressed and got a letter ages ago advising that I'd need a 3rd primary jab which I had a couple of months ago, although I was given AZ for jabs 1 & 2 but Pfizer for my 3rd 🤷🏼‍♀️
I'll be eligible for my booster next month I think.

Yup, it’s a bit of a mess really! It seems the factors that identified people as CEV didn’t include all immune compromised people but studies have since found that certain drugs do mean people need that additional vaccine.

Dh is immuno-suppressed. Why the fuck would I be bothered to ask if I didn’t have a CEV dh @Chloemol.

I’m turning myself inside out to keep him free of covid & I’m utterly worn out. I’m drained. I’ve lost over a stone since this started and when it’s really bad my hair falls out. I’ve got no life and we’re being phased out by family members who basically don’t care about him being vulnerable they just want a big Christmas celebration so we get attitude off them I oscillate between work, the pharmacy and his hospital appointments. That’s it. That’s my entire life right now in one sentence. I’m completely locked down here with a dh I’m watching deteriorate in front of my eyes and the surgeons can’t do anything without a pre-booked ITU bed which at the moment are full of unvaccinated 20-40 year olds.

I’ve got no faith in the system because with my job I should have been called for a vaccine first. Was I called? No. I was not. Did I ring to tell them I was eligible and how to verify my profession? Yes. Did I have to get vaccinated at work after emailing all my clients to ask if I could have a vaccine? That’s a yes too.

I’m just trying to keep my husband alive long enough to have two operations.

@Mickarooni thanks for the link. My DS (19) falls into the category but has heard nothing. Annoyingly he spoke to the GP today and his IBD nurse! Neither Sadi anything.

Was he on the drugs at the time of his initial 2 jabs? Who prescribes? It does seem that those with GP surgeries who prescribe/monitor the immune suppressants seem to be able to identify patients quite quickly.

It’s not new information. I’m cev and I’ve got 3 jabs and then a booster. Been like this for absolute months now.

It’s not been clear because there are people who are eligible for 3 primary vaccines but were told they weren’t CEV. It’s quite easy to see why those people assumed it wasn’t them. If their HCP hasn’t identified them as eligible, then why would a patient know?

He didn’t say all people who were previously classed as CEV will need it, and if your DH hasn’t heard from his team so far then hopefully that means he doesn’t need it, considering others who have needed it have already had it offered.

I hope you get the clarification you need from your own professionals soon.

@Mickarooni yes. His booster letter did say "identified as being severely immunocompromised". He's having problems with neutropenia atm due to one of his drugs and having regular bloods so next time he goes he can ask again. He only got his booster today due to being too unwell to have it - had 2 viruses with fever in the last 8 weeks.

I’m in the CEV group and have just had 2 primaries and one booster. No one has told me any differently…! What a mess it all is!

Am CEV, always keeping up with the news, I had no idea.

It might be that they wrongly labelled it then. My 3rd primary was recorded as a booster! However, my GP surgery contacted me today to say I need my actual booster because that was my 3rd primary. So, don’t worry, it may be happening.

Yeah it's basically a small section of CEV
I think it goes off if you were immunocompromised at the time of your first vaccine. And yes, some got recorded as boosters as there wasn't a way to record third vaccine
Mine came through like this (I fall under it as lifelong neutropenic)

It's not all cev people- it's those that were severely immunosuppressed at the time of the original jabs

Mine came from the gp

I was called by my GP surgery yesterday offering to come out and vaccinate (first booster) my CEV 14 year old. And btw "we can do it tomorrow". A nurse actually offering to come out and vaccinate DS.

Came as a bit of a shock. I've had to fight for anything and everything for him. Hes not immune suppressed, but he has a fairly unusual diagnosis/gene mutation.

I'm pleased it's done but does it sound like hes been put on some list somewhere.

Yes, I've had the letter saying third dose & then booster. I'm housebound & still waiting.

My dh has rescue packs of prednisolone which he takes as and when needed. He doesn't need to inform his GP if he has taken it so how could they know if he was imunosuppressed at the time of his vaccines?

This thread has been useful to me and we will now contact the GP and ask about this.

Does anyone know if it’s still meant to be 3 month minimum between third primary and booster? Can’t remember the phrasing but a couple of bits on the briefing made me think they were saying to get it ASAP as in before then.

To be fair I was told I was not CEV, not in Group 6 and was therefore then surprised when told I needed 3 jabs then a booster. I'm 3 jabs in, booster early next year. I don't think it has been so clear for everyone unfortunately. Hope your dh stays well OP and gets the ops he needs soon xx
