If so, how many hours after the injection did they start? I've got a couple of dates to choose from and I'm wondering if I'd be OK to go to an event in the evening after having my jab in the afternoon. Thanks in advance for any info.

Pfizer, Pfizer, then Moderna.

Very sore arm and a swollen lymph node under that arm for several days. Couldn't lift arm comfortably.

Excellent sleep! Most weird. I think someone else said this up thread.

Didn't stop me leading a normal life, work/commute etc.

Pfizer after 2XAZ on friday, 230pm, side effects started around 11am saturday, got a lot worse towards early evening, still got them

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 28/11/2021 10:16

Had 2 AZ jabs earlier this year. Felt ok after both. Just had a sore arm. Had Moderna booster on Friday morning. Felt lightheaded and tired. Arm was very sore. By Friday evening the area on my arm where the needle had gone in was rock hard and burning. Had a terrible nights sleep. By Saturday morning the area was a 1 inch circle of red, hot and very sore skin, by the afternoon it was 2 inches and by the evening it was 4 inches. Started to get very worried I had a infection but when I looked online it's a well-known reaction to the Moderna vaccine. It's bigger again today and incredibly painful. I haven't been able to do do much all weekend as I can't move my arm. Wish they'd told me about this side effect!

Here's a link to show what can happen. My arm is similar!

None, other than the best night's sleep I'd had for months. Pfizer for all 3 jabs.

YukoandHiro · 28/11/2021 11:52

Dead arm and a bit of tiredness the next day. Nothing that would require changing plans

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 28/11/2021 12:56

Sore arm for a few days and possibly a niggly headache but this might have been due to me being crap at remembering to drink any water that day combined with too much red wine

I had AZ for the first two and had felt totally shit for 24 hrs after the first one

Sparklingbrook · 28/11/2021 13:14

Odxord, Oxford, then Pfizer booster yesterday. So far after yesterday's I am v tired (but that's quite normal for me) and the injection site is sore if you touch it. But that's it.
Had no side effects at all from the first two.

Movinghouseatlast · 28/11/2021 13:20

My side effects started 12 hours after I had it. Lasted 24 hours. It was just feeling generally awful and very tired.

Groovee · 28/11/2021 13:22

I got moderna at 7pm. The next morning had a headache. Then at 7pm got the shivers then a temp, then the shivers. Next day I had legs that felt like jelly. Woke up fine on the Tuesday.

SamhainToImbolc · 28/11/2021 13:25

Pfizer vaccine for all three. No side effects after first, nasty headache for two days after second, a bit of a sore arm and slight headache a few hours after vaccine for booster.

Talked to a nurse at a recent hospital appointment and she said she'd been really unwell after booster - flu like symptoms for several days do I think I was quite lucky. Have felt more unwell after flu vaccine in past.

gettingolderandgrumpy · 28/11/2021 13:26

About 12 hours later for me just flu like shivering etc. it was similar when I had my 2nd vaccine then the next day fine.

sundaychocs · 28/11/2021 15:14

I had my covid booster jab yesterday. Yesterday I felt slightly nauseous then felt dreadful. I woke up freezing cold during the night and had a headache today whilst feeling like I had flu. I feel a bit better now but have no appetite.

I'm still glad I had the booster jab though and I've had loads of sleep this weekend which is what I needed.

Watsername · 28/11/2021 15:51

3x Pfizer. Sore arm almost immediately for about 3 days. 20 hours after jab I started to feel tired, then a slightly raised temperature and headache/body aches for about 6 hours (maybe more, but I went to bed). Slept it off and felt completely fine the next day.

marriednotdead · 29/11/2021 16:29

I had my Moderna booster on Saturday lunchtime after previously having AZ. Symptoms started within a few hours.
Dead painful arm by the evening, couldn't get dressed without help until this morning as I couldn't move it much, it's still sore but way better.
Yesterday was a total write off, spent most of it dozing on the couch feeling like I had flu, aching, shivering and nauseous despite being maxed out on paracetamol.
Very relieved to find that I feel almost normal today!

PuzzledObserver · 29/11/2021 16:33

Mine (feeling tired and just generally a bit ‘off’) started 24 hours after the jab. Exactly the same with the first two.

Ronnyrambler · 14/12/2021 12:08

fatigue for about a week, unexpected as no reaction apart from very slight chills for 5 mins with 1 and 2.

PrpleRain · 14/12/2021 12:12

I had moderna booster. It gave me a very achy arm. The pain started a few hours after the jab and lasted for 2 days. I was also a bit shivery and needed a nap on the first 2 days. Back to normal on the third day.

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 14/12/2021 12:13

Jabbed at 13:30, sore arm in the evening. By 11pm I felt achey and a bit crap.
Shivers and sweats through the night and then a day of feeling wiped out and flu-like

Tillsforthrills · 14/12/2021 12:25

Pfizer, floored me 2 days later.

IgneousRock · 14/12/2021 12:27

No side effects for me. DH had the jab at 9am and felt very tired the following morning. Not ill but just really drained. Both Pfizer.

Duckrace · 14/12/2021 12:33

I didn't.

Duckrace · 14/12/2021 12:34

(But I did with the first AZ). Not the second, or this time with the Pfizer.

Mumofteens2 · 14/12/2021 12:34

Pfizer - nothing more than a sore arm. Booster was 3 days ago.

Xion · 14/12/2021 13:13

Yes - I had the Moderna booster yesterday morning. I had a headache chills then fever and painful arm overnight. I also felt slightly nauseous. It now feels as if it is slightly subsiding

MintJulia · 14/12/2021 13:23

a small bruise from the needle mark. Nothing else
